First the good, and the reason for the one star (not that I could give less anyway)... the sales…read morestaff was very friendly. Kudos for that. Now for the bad, and let me preface this by mentioning that I spent a good portion of my adulthood racing and working in various bike shops. And I was the service manager in one, so I have a LOT of bike mechanic experience. If I were the service manager of this shop, I'd have fired the person who built my bike. Today I bought a particular TREK MTB at this store, because unfortunately my usual store didn't have one and couldn't get one. First problem: you are NOT supposed to use grease on a carbon seatpost with a carbon frame. It's LITERALLY PRINTED on the back of the seatpost, though it's something any good mechanic should know anyway. Sure enough they assembled it with tons of grease, and within just a 1 mile ride, the post slid down a good inch. So I degreased the post, and put 'carbon paste' on it to keep it from happening again. Second problem (picture attached): they mounted the remote shock lockout outboard of the brake lever, which means there's nowhere for your thumb to go when you wrap your hand around the grip. A simple look at the TREK website shows it's installed wrong. And switching them around after requires removing the grip. Sometimes that can be done without destroying the grip, sometimes it can't. So I've already had to buy new grips to fix their mistake. There were several other minor things that never would have been acceptable at my shop, but this is long enough already. I guess if you're looking for a very basic shop, or if you have your own mechanical skills, they're an acceptable choice. Otherwise, I'd highly suggest you look elsewhere. Oh, also, to make it even more insulting, they try to sell you a $150 tune-up plan, which just means you pay up front to have them continue to provide you with subpar repair service. Disappointed mostly because working in a bike shop was always more than just a blow-off job to me. Sad to see that's not the case here. I won't be back.

But that did not stop them from getting me right in getting my inner tube switched out and checked out all in a matter of less than 15 minutes. Blake is the best! The first snowstorm of the year happened a few days ago…read more My husband and i decided to visit Kensington Park. We arrived there expecting that there will be sleds, snowboards or skies available for rent. Unfortunately, there was no company around to offer snow equipment for rent on site. Searched on Yelp and found several sports shops and snow resorts that offer equipment for rent. Looking at the rent per day which is $39 per set, we decided to buy used equipment at Play It Again Sports. As we entered the store, there was already a line of parents and their kids at the register. Despite the short commotion, we were greeted by a big and tall caucasian guy. Originally thought he was the only one who worked there. Turns out there were other guys standing on the other side of the store that completely ignored us. A good suggestion for this store is for the employees to have at least a uniform or a nameplate to identify them as an employee. After finishing the last customer, the tall guy came towards and toured us around the store. He answered our return policy inquiry which convinced us into buying the equipment with no hesitation. 14 days return and refund if we are not fully satisfied. He enrolled us in the rewards program to track our order history and easy return. Great service! Speaking of equipment, this location had a lot of options for new and used skies and snowboarding equipment, for as low $20 for the shoes, and $12 poles. The lowest i could find for the snowboard with bindings was around $120. The burton shoes that is brand new was a steal for $80 compared to the online price of $180, minus the box ;-) We saw used frisbees, equipment and apparel for hockey, ice skating, golf and other types of sports. We kinda feel old to start a new hobby at a cost, so this store was the ideal place for us to get second-hand equipment. Will be back for my husband's snowboard and shoes ;-)

He showed us both used and new equipment and did not hover over us but instead, checked in on us from time to time to see if he had any questions. And we did! Jason answered all our questions. I stopped by Motor City Harley-Davidson Sunday to look at a few bikes…read more Upon arrival I was greeted with a smile and checked in as a VIP customer. As a Harley-Davidson Motor Company employee the first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful showroom. The display of of new and used bikes as well as an amazing parts department and HUGE general merchandise area. I was introduced to my salesperson Sam, whom I recommend for your next purchase. She is not only beautiful, but on top of her game. She is very knowledgeable of both new and pre-owned inventory. I also had the pleasure of working with Brian, in finance. My first choice, a 2026 Sportster, was out of my reach at this time but he was able to work his magic and get me rolling on a pre-owned bike for just $103.00 a month. From there I was introduced to Andrea in general merchandise who hooked me up with a free T-shirt and Steve in parts who reminded me to purchase a battery tender to keep my baby charged. This is the part where I became overwhelmed & forgot the name of the fantastic service advisor who went over the service history of my purchase and when I should be back for my next scheduled maintenance. A special shout out to Sam, my salesperson and the tiny beautiful blonde receptionist for watching and entertaining my 6 year old granddaughter all afternoon to make this all happen for me. I am certainly not mad about driving an hour and a half for such stellar service & will certainly be back. Thanks again for making Sunday such a special day. Stacie

Then the runaround: promised photos video, never sent. Suddenly "gotta be here in person." Responses felt scripted, no straight answers. Classic loss leader tactic -- advertise a price to get the phone ringing, stall out anyone actually ready to buy. Waste of time. Go somewhere that deals straight. When i called them out for stalling and making it hard - they sent BS "You don't have to be here in person to start the deal. Our team will be happy to walk you through the next steps and make sure everything is transparent and easy for you." After telling me I had to be there in person- and never sent the information i asked about for the bike- Don't waste your time on these jokers. Loss Leader tactic if you dont know- the discounted bike is used purely as bait -- the ad stays live to keep generating calls, but there's stalling, no real photos/video, and resistance to any serious buyer trying to actually close on it. The "in-person only" requirement after you were ready with financing and a deposit is a common way dealers slow-walk or dodge remote buyers on these bait units.
