In particular, I liked that the team took care of wrapping furniture, boxing TVs, and figuring out how to move a bunch of random fragile stuff. I didn't see any damage to any items or properties. The phone representatives were very thorough and detailed in finding out what we were needing. Compared to other moving companies we talked to, not only were they more affordable, but they didn't charge extra for materials like moving blankets and plastic sheets as some other companies do. They followed up with us several times, which we actually appreciated. With all of the other chaos involved in moving, picking a mover fell to the backburner. Ben, Jerry, and Valerii were so fast and professional. There is no way we could've moved all of our large furniture as easily as they did. They're not only strong, but very seasoned at identifying the most efficient and effective way to move items from our space. I was honestly pretty mind blown when Ben just casually folded up our queen mattress and carried it out like it was nothing. We have this bulky recliner that would've been the biggest pain to move on our own, but the guys had no issue breaking it down and reassembling at our new place. Despite our best efforts, we weren't fully packed by the time they came. Everything was removed from our bigger shelves and cabinets, but we were also frantically throwing bedroom items from dressers, nightstands, and file cabinets into boxes and bags. They told us which items could be moved while lightly filled, provided we were okay with them getting jostled around. Very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable crew. One small piece of feedback we have is that communication from phone representatives to the moving crew could be improved. Initially, we said that we needed them to pick up items from a storage unit. In the time between hiring Trek Movers and moving day, we were able to get help from a friend with a pickup truck. We updated Trek, but the message wasn't passed along. It wasn't that big of a deal. Fantastic! This was my first time hiring professional movers and, oh wow, it was absolutely worth it! George and Bat were wonderful -- prompt, swift and extra careful with all my belongings. The move took longer than I'd anticipated, but not for lack of effort -- those guys were hustling the whole time. Most of the time was actually spent wrapping-up my furniture and fragile items (TV, computer, framed artwork). As a result, everything arrived totally intact, despite the bumpy and hilly roads we had to tackle in transit. At my arrival location, my couch was too large for the sliding door by 1 inch -- yikes! Gratefully, George found a solution: he managed to unscrew a few things and create more space, allowing the couch to squeeze through quite precisely. He then returned the door to its original setup. Trek Movers was a bit of a shi* show, but our movers were pretty cool. Scheduling was really easy. Gave them a call, added some details, and was able to book a timeframe. We were going from a 1 bedroom to another 1 bedroom apt (floor 1 to floor 3). I noted this when making the reservation because that's an important element of any more. We got a call around 2 that the team was finishing up another job and that they'd arrive around 5 pm. 5 pm came around and they called saying 6 pm. George and Vasya show up and they were cordial, hardworking and very nice. What frustrated me was that they had just gotten off a 9 hour job and the chick who completed our booking didn't tell then about the stairs. We also had a decent amount of stuff to move (1 couch - love seat / quite a few pieces of ikea furniture/ 1 queen size matteess / 40 ish boxes (small/medium). No electronics or TVs. I just finished up a move from our house in Oakland to a nearby city, and had the team from Trek do that work. We moved a 2400 sq.ft. house in the Oakland Hills (soooo many stairs) to our new place in Lafayette. The team arrived on time, both days of the move. Listed the approximate items I was planning today . Along the way, on my end, I made things complicated because a week before my move, I switched my end location and added my boyfriends place to make a stop in between, and even with all the complications I created, they were super friendly throughout. The day of: The movers texted me 20 minutes before their arrival and helped disassemble my bed.
