Traveling through Redding and visiting friends, we were recommended to stop and have breakfast at this restaurant this morning, 10/26/25. Found it easy off of highway 5 and the breakfast was the best I have experienced since leaving home in 1955. Everything was fresh, very tasty and service was outstanding. I have been to Tremont many many times and I can honestly say that I have Never been disappointed. Their food is absolutely phenomenal and you can really feel the sense of care and familial presence. The service is every bit as amazing as the food, they treat you like family and are extremely attentive to the needs of their customers. This is a must try for anyone and everyone!

What a great place to eat now that the original owners have it back. The prime rib is the best in town and around. If you're a beef eater get the Don Brock cut 32 Oz its not on the menu so you gotta ask for it. Everything is great here and there plenty to eat read more

Amazing place, unique seating arrangements with awesome furniture. I love the service by all the usual employees some new people need just time for improvement but overall they do a great job. I'm hesitant to share this, but this place is the bomb, don't want it to get to popular since it's easy to get a seat. Hands down the bet Prime Rib i have ever eaten. Cooked perfect, juicy, tender and tasty. They only have it on Friday and Saturday nights. Worth the 30 minute drive to get there from my house. I have also eaten breakfast and lunch here. The food is always fresh, good service, and the homemade cakes and pies amazing.! Sometimes when they are busy you may have to wait for your food. But trust me it's worth the wait! read more

Centrally located in Red Bluff, the Tremont is easy to get to but more than that, the food is good and the service is outstanding. Doreen, Katy, Heather could not be any more friendly and timely. My wife and I take our grandson for breakfast every week and have never been disappointed. We love that place!!!! read more

Ths place must be a local "thing". Our waitress as adorable as she was, she was preoccupied with a table of men resembling overgrown orges in flannel and cowboy boots. Ths being sd, our order ws-yep! You guessed it, incorrect. After hvng called our waitress bk ovr to pt out her incompetence I thn asked her to hv someone else serve us as it most certainly be within her best interest. Our order of biscuits and gravy w/scrambled eggs, cottage cheese and toast ws OK. Biscuits were a tad over dry therefore hard. Scrambled eggs were flavorless and dense. Cottage cheese was great! My auntie enjoyed her toast...it was literally all over her and her side of the table. LOL Not a stop I'll mk again. read more

Hotel is brand new or c has recently renovated. Upscale hotel likely a 4 star property. It is clean and luxurious. Website has not updated what this hotel now looks like. I would strongly recommend hotel to update their web and pictures. read more

the 5 star rating is for the burger. excellent burger. buns perfectly toasted, patty thick and juicy, cheese melted to perfection, bacon crisp not burnt. the only thing not perfect is the shredded lettuce, shredded lettuce in a burger drives me nuts, but these folks wrap the burger so nothing drips, which solves the problem. I cannot speak to any other food, since i have only eaten the burger there. after reading the other reviews, I am gonna try breakfast. I love an old school diner breakfast. service is a 2 or 3 star. its not fantastic, but by now they know me and know i don't need attention. they check back a few minutes after the plate is put in front of me, then fill up my water glass once and slap the bill on the table. when i go up to pay it, they are prompt and very friendly. i have to disagree about easy parking. parking can be a pain, and the lot behind the restaurant has half of the slots reserved for other businesses, which usually indicates a minor parking war going on. read more

Well, the third time was the charm. It has been at least 9 months since I have eaten here. The last two times I was here, the meals lackluster at best. Today's sandwich combination actually I can praise. I had the club sandwich with onion rings and it was a very tasty lunch. I asked for my bacon crisp which I received, and the onion rings we're incredible. My only complaint with the sandwich was all the meat was piled in the middle of the sandwich so my first bite was excellent and everything else was just bread and lettuce. But the flavors were there, which was a lot more than I can say for my past experiences eating here. The last sandwich I had was a prime rib french dip, with au jus and french fries. The French fries were great, unfortunately the meat was grey and microwaved and au jus watery and lackluster. So, the four stars is a great improvement of what I would have reviewed before. While driving home after a week on a houseboat vacation on Lake Shasta, our families (9 people) always enjoy stopping for a hearty breakfast or lunch somewhere on I-5. Two years ago we discovered a nice place right on the Sacramento River in Red Bluff. We were disappointed this year to find it out of business. A quick Google search brought up nearby Tremont Cafe and Creamery. What a great find!! The place is roomy and comfortable. Gary, the owner, waited on us personally. The best service ever and the food was delicious and bodacious in size. My brother-in-law was amazed to see 6 full slices of bacon with his eggs. My wife and her sister split a cinnamon roll that was as big as the table. . . everyone got "bites". My breakfast burrito was as big as my forearm. This will definitely be our stopping place for each of our subsequent trips. Don't miss this jewel of Red Bluff right on the main street. read more

A cute little place that took us a little longer than we wanted to find but when we did, we took a spot in the back with our kids, enjoying the air conditioning since it was 105 out, while we admired the artwork on the windows and, when I went to the restroom, the old photography of Red Bluff in its Historical state! It was a wonderful time; waitresses were friendly though they seemed a little distracted because of how busy they were but always made sure to give us their full and positive attention to us. I ordered a Tuna Melt with swiss and my husband ordered an omelet (Kitchen Sink Omelet I think it was called) while the kids had the classic Mac n Cheese! Food was delicious, a litte pricey but definitely worth the visit if you are visit! read more
