Did you know Helen Bernhard Bakery is over 100 years old, and it's one of the first woman-owned businesses in Portland? Jamie has a secret recipe that may involve heroin or something that makes these the most addictive cupcakes on earth... I will never cheat on Jamie... Her cupcakes are the only ones for me. The Snickers was extremely moist and delightful. The Sweet Potato with cream cheese icing was addictive. I ate it the next day and it was still moist. Maybe because of the plastic cup its packaged in. Stick to your fingers wonderful. The Saturday we went, the baker's husband was running the booth. He was very friendly and was distributing samples. We were given spoons with our cupcakes so we could eat it out of the cup. If I lived in Portland, I'd be here every weekend! One star off b/c of the environmentally unfriendliness of the plastic packaging. I realize that the plastic is probably helping to keep the cupcakes fresh, but that's a lot of landfill!
