    Al pastor super burrito

Stopped by to pick up a burrito and it was very quick service. Al pastor super burrito: B The pastor is decent, I haven't tried any of there other meats but it does taste good. The tortilla is warmed and has a nice stretchy texture, and the guac/sour cream definitely helps give it some needed richness. The salsas were very standard and did not come with chips.

Sadly, I was disappointed in the quality of food here. So much so, that I only took one bite of two tacos and I ordered 4 in total. The flavor/taste was off, the quality of the ingredients were very low, the food was presentation was also not the best. The meat was so dry I almost choked, the chicken el pastor tasted very unpleasant. When I called to express my concerns, no one answered the phone so I don't have the opportunity to speak to how their customer service would've made up for this.

Tasty wet burrito with carnitas and loaded fries. Ingredients tasted fresh , portions were generous and the prices fair.

What a little surprise tucked into a shady block across from The Press Apts on Q street in downtown (midtown?) Sacramento. We took a walk from home near the capital and discovered a jewel! There's seating outside when the weather permits and room for a few inside (12?) Colorful, and full of the amazing aroma of freshly made authentic Mexican cuisine. We literally followed our noses. We were greeted by the sweetest woman and received our food quickly. We shared a wet super burrito with carnitas and verde sauce and a chile verde Chimichanga with all the toppings. The food was excellent, flavorful and perfectly prepared. The meat in both was flavorful and tender. We took home about half of our meal each. Portions are generous. Looking forward to the leftovers. The vibe is super casual and up beat. As if a Mexican surf shack caught a wave to Sacramento. We watched Lots of pick up from both neighborhood and door dash style delivery services. That's a green flag to us for sure. We are returning very soon to explore their other menu items.

Still in the hunt for the best Chile Relleno in the Sac area, and very open to suggestions. **This was a DoorDash Order** Chile Rellano Burrito: 6.1/10 - Better than others I've tried. Nice portion, the pepper itself was the star of the burrito (as it should be). Crispy Taco (Chicken): 6.3/10 - Better than Taco Bell, good portion of meat, a bit too seasoned, but fine, I guess. Tres Leches Cake: 6.6/10 - Def a different take on this dessert. More of an upscale, frufru rendition. Not bad per se, just not what I was expecting. Overall, it's fine. Prices are decent. Portions are good. I need to try additional items. Try em out!

I got asada nachos this had little meat which had a weird flavor so the ratio and taste was off but the flavor of the of the guacamole, cream and beans made it decent should've just got beans and cream nachos and there was only a sprinkle of cheese. The bottom of the plate had bald nachos making me use my home dip for them :( Nice customer service and place however I will not be going back again.

I'm so tired of supporting local restaurants who don't give a FK about their food. I'll talk my shit. First off don't put anybody in the front who doesn't know how to speak bilingual. That makes no sense and you look bad and it slows everything down. Second, if you don't have a special on Tuesdays, I might as well save my money for jalapeños on Thursdays just saying. And lastly, charging somebody over four dollars for a taco like this should make you feel embarrassed and sad for the customer who's going to experience this. I'm done supporting you guys for a while.

    Wet burrito with carne asada

Last week, I was scrolling through the Chita's menu on Yelp while doing laundry nearby at Love. I could remember old school Yelpers raving about Chita's years ago, and the ratings were still high. Even better, their wet burrito with carne asada was several dollars cheaper than the one from my favorite taqueria in Folsom. Sold. I walked right over to Chita's to order a wet burrito with carne asada, to go, as well as a tamarind Jarritos. When I was paying, the woman behind the counter asked me if I wanted salsa cups. "Yes please!" I always want salsa cups. I didn't notice until after I had paid that chips were sold on the side for $1.50 extra. I should have ordered some, but didn't. My food didn't take very long to come out at all. I walked it back to my spot, and cut right into the middle. The first things I saw were carne asada, guacamole, rice, and pico de gallo-- and I saw a LOT of guacamole. Perfect. The burrito was (by definition) drenched in red sauce, so I wasn't really able to try any of the rest of the salsa with it. I still tried a little of the avocado sauce, and thought it was good, but a little watery. The ingredients on the inside of the burrito were all great. The carne asada and guacamole were top notch for a taqueria at this price point. I liked the red sauce that topped the burrito, but not as much as the sauce at my favorite taqueria chain. The portion size was a bit smaller, but I'm never able to finish the entire burrito at my favorite place, anyway. The customer service was great. The woman who helped me was very friendly. The inside of the shop was clean, but not sparkling. I would definitely love to come back to Chita's to try more of their menu items in the future.

Solid food, nice customer service and also offered a kiosk to order food which was nice as a first time customer so I didn't feel rushed to place my order. The place is in a great spot in midtown, with lots of parking along the street. The portions were good and the price for four adults and one child was pretty fair. I'm a huge fan or carnitas and have to try it at every place it's offered. I have found some to be too sweet or too over cooked and crunchy but Chita's was definitely one of the best!! The meat was moist and had plenty of flavor, I'll definitely be coming back to try more

Steak taco salad ($13) rice, beans, meat, lettuce, pico, sour cream, guacamole, cheese. Tasty.
    krista h.

We ordered Doordash delivery on a Monday night. We had the regular burrito ($12.15) with added sour cream ($.65) and the steak taco salad ($13). Taco salad was very tasty. However, I wouldn't exactly call it a "salad". It had about as much lettuce as a Taco Bell crunchy taco. If you fancy a nice 7-layer dip in an edible fried shell, then this is the dish for you! It comes with rice, beans, meat, pico, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, and guacamole. The shell was amazing and makes the perfect "chip" for your bowl of dip. The steak was finely diced (like smaller than a dime) and flavorful. Al pastor regular burrito with added sour cream was great. Comes with choice of meat, rice, beans, and cheese. It's grilled on the outside and has plenty of cheese. I imagine the Al Pastor is the best meat choice, because I simply can't comprehend the idea of anything tasting better! Their mini salsas were quite lovely, but use sparingly because you only get 2 per meal. Also, both made great leftovers the next day.

Ubereats Chita's last night and am glad I did! I got the Chita's fries and they had a bogo deal for their al pastor pollo burrito. The fries were incredibly good! I did not have the burrito fresh because I planned to take it for work today, but it was still yummy. Both items were cooked greatly with quality tasting ingredients. The burrito was smaller than most I've seen, but I did get full from it!

You're greeted with a fun atmosphere, friendly staff, and an energy that makes you excited to be there. Since the restaurant was especially busy, we chose to sit at the bar. There was no wait, and the high-top seating was surprisingly comfortable. Our server was welcoming and attentive, and the service was fast from start to finish. Between the great music and lively atmosphere, you can't help but want to dance while you eat! I ordered one of my favorites--the chicken sope. It was perfectly crispy on the outside while still soft and fluffy on the inside. The chicken was packed with flavor, and the rice and beans were just as delicious. The salsa that came with it was the perfect finishing touch, adding just the right amount of spice and an extra kick of flavor. My hubby ordered one of the carne asada dishes (so sorry, I forgot the name!). He said it was one of the best cuts of meat he's had at a Mexican restaurant in a long time--super tender, juicy, and full of flavor. We had such a fun night! I definitely recommend Rosa Madera--10/10 for a date night, girls' night, or any excuse to enjoy great food and an even better atmosphere.

The only downside was that it was difficult to get in contact with the restaurant beforehand. I tried calling several times to make a reservation, but no one answered, and one call was even disconnected. Their website also only allows reservations for up to four people, even though they clearly accommodate larger celebrations for friends and families. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and in person service were amazing. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back!

I didn't read or listen carefully enough that the skirt steak with sauteed onions and bell peppers are covered in Spanish sauce. The sauce is actually quite tasty with a little kick. I used it and the salsa to flavor the black beans. However, I really just wanted grilled steak. I should have ordered steak fajitas, a grilled steak burrito or quesadilla, or a carne asada plate. The Steak a la Chicana was a generous portion, which is definitely 2 meals for me. Cilantro rice wasn't anything special. The SWEET CORN TAMALITO is yummy comfort. Choice of beans: refried beans, black beans, or pinto beans. I suspect refried beans is the tastiest option. El Tapatio would be a great gathering place for friends and family. I visited this past Saturday and it was quite busy inside like it always is. The restaurant is large enough to fit a lot of people, so finding a seat isn't an issue. To order, you line up in front of the register and wait until they call you. Once it was my turn, I ordered a Super Burrito with Al Pastor, which is my favorite protein choice there. Usually I order 2 tacos with my burrito but I was saving room for Korean bbq that day! The Super Burrito comes with your choice of meat, rice, beans, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and cheese. I also ordered a medium pineapple agua fresca, which paired perfectly with my burrito. After ordering, you're handed a number to take to your table so the servers know where to bring your food. As I'm waiting for my food, I helped myself to the self-serve chip bar. The chip bar is my favorite thing about the restaurant besides the food and quick service. I always get loads of both the white and red pickled onions, and some salsa to go with my chips. They offer many sides to choose from so that anyone can customize their meal to their liking. The pickled onions have the perfect level spice and acidity to them which helps with cutting down the greasiness you may get from a burrito. I also like to snack on them for fun too! The food comes out extremely quickly. When I finished placing my order and brought my number to my table, I went to the self-serve bar right after to get some chips. Not even 2-3 minutes later, I came back to my table with my burrito already there! The burrito was absolutely delicious and piping hot. It's the perfect size for me and eating it with the pineapple agua fresca and some chips makes it a perfect meal! Coming to La Favorita Taqueria is always a treat and I appreciate the quick customer service, self-serve bar, and delicious food! I highly recommend the Al pastor as your protein choice and honestly you can't go wrong with anything on their menu!

They didn't just walk by like frazzled, hurried workers like most restaurants pushing through the crowds. They actually gave me a nice smile and said welcome, and then walked by. And then I got to the reception area found that there was already a pretty big crowd at around the 5:30 PM or so I guess a lot of early birds come to eat there on Sunday. The receptionist asked for how many and said you'd be like a 20 minute wait and there was chairs where people were waiting but it was only like a 15 minute wait. The server was fast with the chips and salsa and ice water and then soon the waiter came and took my order. He was really quick and witty, fun to talk to. What I really enjoyed was as the noise of the table Near quieted down and they left. I saw a young man cleaning up the table and getting it ready for the next group of people. He was dressed really nice and had a tie on. Having been in restaurants most of my life I said to myself, I bet you he works with the owners or something. And I said to him, are your related to people that own the place ? he said my parents own this place. He was very friendly and polite. He told me a tiny bit about the restaurant and how everything had been since 1970, much older than he was, he was only a sophomore in high school I think. I never really got his name, but I was kind of proud of him because he was working hard at his family's restaurant. I ordered probably something bigger than I could eat because I had to take leftovers home, but it was really a tasty meal, and they're coming out with more chips and salsa without being asked, probably didn't help as well as a second lemonade.
