Tri County Trappers were recommended by my pest control company to get rid of two swallow nests in the upper eaves of our two-story home. The swallows were dropping bird excrement on the patio deck and outside lighting. Tri County came out quickly and assessed the situation in June, and provided several options for removal, clean-up, and prevention of further nesting. Since we were unable to remove the nests until they were completely empty in October, with a simple call and Tri County Trappers completed the removal and sterilized all affected surfaces. We had a variety of pests at our Orange County property. The pests were entering from multiple openings in and around our condo attic. Some had even entered into our living area. TriCounty came in and assessed the situation and gave our HOA a couple options. TriCounty began the process by first closing all entry points. Next, they set traps and monitored any potential activity for 2 weeks. Once they confirmed there was no activity, they scheduled the complete removal of all debris including insulation. When we heard noises in our chimney, we thought it was birds nesting. We were shocked to find a family of RACOONS nesting there. He applied a pheromone to the chimney [apparently the raccoons think it is a predator] and the family left. We now have a metal grate on the top of the chimney to keep these critters from returning. I've been battling rats for months with some successes but more failures. After speaking to a company that was beyond my budget I thought I would try Tri County based on the reviews. I was very happy talking to Benjamin Boothe as he listened to me and was willing to work together with me to help. Grover came out and surprised me with his knowledge of construction and how many areas I did not realize were places the critters could gain access. They scheduled with me and accomplished what I was hoping for at a realistic price for me. I too have been actively trying to do what I could. 2 days after they were here I have not seen any new evidence of a problem. THE GOOD: Tri County Trappers did what they said they would do. They flushed out a mama raccoon and her 2 babies. Then they blocked the 3 suspected entrances the raccoon may have used to get into the attic of our house. They also patched two 4" holes I made in the drywall when I was trying to find where the raccoons were. In all, they made 4 visits to our house over about a weeklong period. They were polite and friendly. THE NOT SO GOOD: After they were finished, I received an invoice that included a charge that was not on the original estimate. It was labeled, "CC Fee" for $34.50. The invoice showed they already charged my credit card. (They ask for your credit card info after the first phase of the work is completed). I sent 2 emails and a text to them asking what the fee was and why it wasn't included on the original estimate. They never responded. The invoice has a "Pay Now" icon to click to make the payment, so it's possible they will deduct the full amount from a customer's card and the customer may click the "Pay Now" icon, resulting in a double payment. Not a good business practice in my opinion. Finally, they have no decals of their company name on their trucks so it makes one wonder if they are legit. Ultimately, I think they did what they said they would do, and except for the CC Fee, I would still recommend them. read more
