We have had a massive rat (NOT mouse) infestation of the attic and house for months since our renovation. We had "rat" insulation guys come out and replaced our entire attic as well as "rat proofing" things. This costs us over $6000. Rats came back the next day. The insulation guys came out again to "rat proof" it some more. Didn't help. You really do need a DEDICATED rat group to get rid of them. This company is it. Every holiday season, I go into our attic, pull down our holiday decorations, and at the end of each season, I put them back up.  THIS YEAR WAS DIFFERENT...it was the year of the PANDEMIC!  I hopped up my ladder, I propped open the attic hatch and I remember seeing a small amount of debris fall to the floor. I looked down and what I saw was as clear as day - RAT DROPPINGS.  I climbed up further to reach the attic light switch, I flipped on the lights and what I saw made my heart drop to my stomach!  RAT. DROPPINGS. EVERYWHERE!  It looked like Betty Crocker had been in our attic putting large chocolate sprinkles on EVERYTHING!  The insulation, the floorboards, the rafters, rat droppings, EVERYWHERE.  We were grossed out and we knew this wasn't the work of one mouse....we knew we had a problem. First step was to remove all the old insulation from our attic, sanitize and rat proof the home.  Andrew and his crew arrived timely the day the work began, a few minutes before 7AM.  It looked like a large hazmat team on my property.  The first thing the crew did was section off access into the attic from the rest of the home.  See pics I've uploaded.  This made sure any contaminants in the attic wouldn't float around into our home.  This was important since we had one year old twins and their health and safety is paramount.  With access to the attic properly sealed, the team went to work and worked hard until sun down!  I remember seeing a group of rats run away from the home when the work began. The team worked bagging up all the soiled insulation in the attic before it was brought out and stacked to be hauled away.  By the end of the day, the attic was thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.  It looked brand new by the time they were done.  In addition, our air ducts previously sat on top of our insulation and Andrew's crew got that up-to-code by hanging them from the rafters, giving the attic a much cleaner look by the time they were done.  Then the crew rat proofed the entire home by sealing off all access points that the rats were using or could potentially use.  Proofing also included securing holes and access points to keep rats from gaining access to the interior of our home.  With the home properly sealed, traps were set to catch any remaining rats that decided to stay behind. Andrew and his crew made visits in the upcoming weeks to check the traps to see if anything was caught.  Once we felt comfortable that no more rats were in our home and rats couldn't get in, it was time to reinsulate the attic.  This process was delayed a bit due to an insulation shortage, but it wasn't a big deal since we were finally rat free! Andrew just came out for an inspection we haven't done business with them yet. But he was unquestionably one of the kindest and easiest to deal with people who have come to my house. Heard some noises last night, found a few dead rats this morning (old traps) and knew we needed to update work done by another provider a few years ago. These guys were the only ones able to come out same day, did a thorough inspection through my entire attic and under the whole house's crawlspace. After getting quotes from 3 different places to deal with rats infesting the inside of our house (bedrooms, bathrooms, etc) we decided on Rodent Free and are glad we did. At first we tried to solve the rat problem ourselves, but traps only work if the rats have no means of escape -- otherwise there's plenty of food elsewhere (like the fruit trees outside), so they never touched the traps we set, yet there were fresh rat droppings almost every day. So we called 3 places for quotes, and Rodent Free had by far the best quote. But we didn't choose just by the price: Andrew (who came out) spent a lot of time looking around and explaining things, and didn't try to charge for work that wasn't necessary. Between the three places we called, it was clear we should go with Rodent Free, and we're glad we did. They came out and did a lot of work, sealing every hole/entrance place there was, inside and out, then cleaned and sprayed as well, with a safe spray that gets rid of the scent for the rats, then set more traps. They sealed up every place, so now any rats would be trapped, and would have no choice but to go for the food in the traps. Sure enough after Rodent Free did their work there wasn't one new rat dropping anywhere inside the house for the first time in weeks -- and when Andrew came out a week later for the followup to check the traps, one of the traps in the garage got a rat, who had no choice but to go for the trap after everything had been sealed off.
