I drive to this Tri-Rail station every Sunday to see my girlfriend. She recommended this transportation option to me when we first started dating, and I think it's so convenient, affordable, and useful for those who want to get around South Florida without the need to drive. I feel that it's much safer. Tri-Rail trains have free Wi-Fi, comfortable seats, restrooms, bike racks, and outlets to charge your electronics. Round-Trip tickets are always $5 on the weekends and holidays. Check the Tri-Rail website to see the weekday prices since it depends on how far you plan on going. Bring cash as a safety precaution - the ticket machines don't always accept debit or credit cards. If you're caught without a ticket the first time, one of the security guards will give you a warning and your personal information will be stored in the database. If you're caught again without a ticket, you'll be fined $50 (possibly more) or dealing with other serious consequences. They don't play games when it comes to people trespassing. Always make sure you purchase the correct Tri-Rail ticket before boarding the train.

Today is my first time taking public transportation from the Cypress Creek Tri-Rail to Miami.

We got off here to get to the Yellow Green Farmer's market and the gate that used to be open (connecting the two) was locked. Some riders decided to jump a fence to get to the Farmer's Market. We opted to find alternate options. First we thought we could walk easily to the market, but the path given by the GPS was not very clear. We finally opted to get a ride share and for about $5 we got to the market. Based on previous reviews, these two were connected at one point, not anymore. Sadly I guess there's a way to walk over if we get out of the station, take a left, walk on the sidewalk along Sheridan, then take a left onto the market parking lot....that whole trek would probably take 20-25 min.

There's a lounge, priority boarding, free food and drinks, comfortable seating onboard, fast-speed wifi, For that, it's convenient to take a train for a little over 3 hours (Miami-Orlando) vs flying. My most recent visit to Brightline Station in Aventura, I was catching a shuttle to go to Hard Rock Stadium aka Miami Stadium for the World Cup. There were two lines. The staff at my line took forever to scan people's tickets that the other line already filled 2 buses! And they were people at the back of the line! There was no shade, no water. Just free alcoholic beverages you have to post on social media. You have to pay for water, sunscreen - basic things they give away for free at other transportation stations in cities that hosted the World Cup! I anticipated you can't catch an Uber from this station after the game. I was right. But the cops were on a total power trip yelling at people "you can't get Uber here!" And the crowd was yelling back at the cops - what a hot mess! The crowd was just walking away from the station so, how did the cops even assume they got Uber?!? LOL.

I am hard of hearing so it's a struggle. The train is Great! Nice crowd, smooth, amazing! Also, you can snap a screen shot of your friends tickets you bought and text them that worked for us at the entrance. Give yourself about 30min before arrival to park, get through security and get situated. I rushed the last time and got on the wrong train!! So annoyed, and rode to Aventura (south) and the next train north to Orlando was 1.5 hrs away and waited for the 7pm train, errrr. My fault. I rode it again shortly after and once on the platform I just asked people, is this going North? I don't care, I still am unsure besides the electric sign inside the train to which one I'm getting on. I think they need digital signs on the platform saying where they are going. There are 2 tracks at the Ft. Lauderdale location, don't want to go the wrong way ever again! At the Orlando station it opens into the Orlando Airport. The Brightline station there has food. I'm sure the other stations do too, but not sure. We had a Cuban sandwich, chicken tenders and a cheese burger. We also had a Bloody Mary. It hit the spot after Universal studios trip. Have fun!
