You can also take the orange line to get to the airport. It also has a transfer at the Tri-Rail station where you can opt to go all the way to West Palm beach. This particular station has connecting bus routes to downtown and connects to the 595 express that takes you all the way to Sunrise in Broward County. Additionally if you are going to Marlins park and you don't want to get stuck in traffic and avoid 20+ dollar parking this is a great solution. You can park your car at any Metro-Rail station and get an all day pass and come to this station and the marlins shuttle (the 55 bus) will take you to and from the Stadium. They have shuttles running from the Stadium to the Culmer Metro-Rail station from prior to the game up to 2 hours after the last pitch. But it is very similar to what other cities call Subway. I guess since Miami can not run much underground construction, the MetroRail is all above ground. The one way ticket is $2.25, but you can get a full day pass for $5.65, which allows for unlimited transfers between metrorail and buses for one full day...if you get a $2.25 ticket, you will have to pay another $2.25 when you transfer. We loved how clean the trains were, the AC was working very well when we got on. We were even a bit cold inside the train. The signage on approaching stations is very good and the maps and routes printed on the inside of the trains are very useful. The Metrorail offers one easy ride to get you where you need to go. Be from Downtown Miami and Brickell to Coconut Grove and South Miami as well as a quick trip to the airport. There are two distinct rail lines that depart from the Dadeland South station on US1. The Orange line ends at Miami International Airport and back. The Green line runs further up north with connections to the Tri-rail and Virgin MiamiCentral. There are stops along each route at many of Miami's top attractions such as Coconut Grove, Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, Brickell, the Lyric Theater, Hialeah and more. Metrorail opened in 1984 and it is Florida's only rapid transit metro system. It is composed of two lines of 23 stations on 24.4 miles of track. Metrorail serves the urban core of Miami, connecting Miami International Airport, the Health District, Downtown Miami, and Brickell with the northern developed neighborhoods of Hialeah and Medley to the northwest, and to suburban The Roads, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, and South Miami, ending at urban Dadeland in Kendall. Metrorail connects to the free Metromover in Downtown, which provides metro service to the entirety of Downtown and Brickell area. I was able to catch the trolley a couple of times, but no matter what time of day I caught it, It was packed. Standing room only. Sometimes it was so packed that the driver just passed me at while I was at the stop and just waved me off. The trolley was relatively clean,, but it appears that there are not many rules, at least ones being enforced. I saw people on the trolley with lots of luggage and even a motorized scooter. The trolley has clearly marked stops, for the most part, but appeared to not be on any type of schedule. There would be 30 to 40 minutes between trolleys, then you would have trolleys 2 back to back. I would say that I was able to catch the trolley about 50% of my attempts. You can track the trolley's movement via the app to keep you updated as to where they are at in real time. The trolley is ADA compliant and most have a lift in the back. They also have A/C, which is a plus. I almost wish that they would charge a small fee like a dollar to ride, to free up some space. It appeared that some people were riding because they were just bored. Anyway, I love this concept and that people have an affordable way to get around the city. I just wish there was more space available on them and that heir schedule was more reliable.

They're open all the time, so we just called up there and we were set! They're pretty quick if you're trying to get in and out and we're very accommodating even when we showed up like 20/30 min after we said we'd show up (yikes). What they'll do is they'll have you show up and leave the bags and then you just text them a little before you're about to come back, and you're golden! The only gripe I could think of about the place is that it's a little pricier than some comparable 24/7 prices that are farther away from where we were trying to go slash some closer ones that were not open when we needed them, but I guess you're paying for convenience too right? For 4.5 hours, we had two carry ons and a backpack, and they charged us $35 but then they gave us a $5 discount because they're stars! It's a rail station built in Florida in the 1980s... so my criticims are based in history, as the…read morestation and rail lines were evidently contemplated to build upon the locational efficiencies next to the freeway (but does have a nice park next door... across yet another surface vehicular parking lot)... but what this means is that this station is disconnected from the more walkable areas of Hollywood and relies more on automotive transporation for the ""last mile"" travvel. The City and County do a good job of having connections (Sun Shuttle, BCT [Broward County Transit]) - but a walk downtow will take a good 30 - 45 min. As to the actual station, there's not enough benches... or trash cans. There's also so much anxiety if the train is coming, if you're on the right platform, the trains don't run late enough, and the transit cops can often be... brusque. But it's such a net positive to have rail options (with signage and audio message in three (3!) languages) in this urban-surburban-car-dominated-megaopolis. I support it fully and want MORE investment in stations like this to make it better.

You can't beat the price and included shuttle to and from the airport. Brightline is too damn high to begin with, extra $10 for the shuttle which doesn't run late so you have to uber to the train station. Nah son...tri-rail it is! Even with their some of dirty looking clientele I'm wrong for that but I ain't wrong.

Just today we took the tour and were amazed. My husband and I had a wonderful time! Everything about THIS food tour was 5 stars. Steve was our guide and he is such a nice person, we felt really comfortable asking questions and speaking with him. Also, he is very knowledgeable about Miami and its history. But more than that, he made the tour very personal. The four places we ate at were great. By the end of the tour I was quite satisfied with the range of foods we had tried. I'm also glad that now I have some new places to go to on South Beach that I never would have tried before. I am sworn to secrecy on which places you'll visit, as each tour should be a fun surprise, just as Steve intends it to be. Believe me, you will have an amazing time.
