They always have a weird old man named "Ray" there. He stinks and does unhygienic things like blow his nose and touches the counter, plates etc, which is a health hazard. He's always there literally multiple times a day. Many customers have said they stopped going there because he's so nasty and unsightly. He harasses other customers always asking them for "favors." He looks homeless and deranged. I'm surprised the owner allows someone like that to visit their restaurant constantly, pushing away customers. read more

Ordered through Uber Eats and food arrived pretty quick. I ordered the Italian chicken panini which had grilled chicken, sundried tomatoes, and mozzarella. SO GOOD and so fresh! Fries were a BIT crispier than what I personally prefer but otherwise really loved my dish and would order again. Tri-valley reopened this week after being closed for last 7 months due to renovation. A totally different look, with all new furnitures and interior. Looks much welcoming and brighter than pre-reno days. This was my first time returning to tri-valley after few years, as my previous experience was underwhelming. But this time I had a great dine-in. Loved their renovated look and seems like the food quality improved as well. Loved the spicy shrimp tacos, excellent mix of vegetables, fried shrimp and sauce. Other breakfast items like french toast and break were well made too. We ordered the mickey mouse pancake for our daughter, it was pretty cool, and tasted amazing with some chocolate chips mixed into the pancake. With much different positive experience this time around, I'll surely be making more trips to Tri-valley in future. read more

Stopped in on the recommendation of a friend. First you will see how bright and clean the restaurant is, then you'll notice how friendly the staff is. The menu is huge! I had a tuna melt which was perfect. The bread was toasted well. My son had a milkshake, and the waitress brought the extra that didn't fit in the glass so I tried it. So good! I think this is the last time I'll be coming to Tri-Valley. I gave it many chances due to the fact the place does contribute to local schools' fund raising but sadly it is not enough for me to continue to be a patron. We arrived there and stood there without a greeting nor acknowledgment from a number of people walking by for a while. Finally the older female server acknowledged us letting us know that there would be a wait. No problem. We were seated. We ordered and the food came out. Our daughter's toast for her breakfast bowl came out while she was halfway done with her bowl. Our water was never refilled. We had to ask another server to find our male server for the check because he never came to check on us nor did I see him walking around once. Inviting and family owned and run (2nd generation). Don't miss out on Tuesdays with your little ones. Colors the Clown brightens the kids faces with balloon animals and face-painting. The food is homey hearty and fresh, as good as any top-notch diner in NJ. Generous portions. Our favorites are their omelettes, home fries, eggs Benedict, and chicken Cesar salad. The dessert counter is also filled with delicious treats. Muffins, cupcakes, pies, cookies, cake and even a napoleon (my personal favorite). My family and I have been coming here for years. They've recently had a renovation and the inside is a beautiful, updated diner. The food is good, I always reccomend the specials. Prices have gone up due to inflation, and my favorite of them all, they now impose a credit card fee for those using card. I would rather pay more than a fee, even though they have already raised their prices. Last time I came was for a rainy day at lunch. Service was prompt and the food was excellent. We started with French onion soup, nice and hot, but underseasoned. I had a breakfast wrap that needed some umpt so I asked for hot sauce and that did the trick. read more

Visiting from Maryland and this was a restaurant chosen by my sister in law who is from Nj and I'm so glad she introduced us to this place. I liked that I could reserve a table online. Inside gives me diner vibes but modern style and the colors inside give that warm feeling. I was surprised to see how many different things they had on the menu since I feel most places cut down what they provide. I ordered my son a Mickey Mouse pancake and it has chocolate chips and I ordered a waffle with cannoli topping. I added bacon and eggs to my order and the price was really good for everything. We ended up having leftovers because of the good portions given. I was pleased with how everything tasted. The cappuccino I highly recommend and it felt strong but a good strong. Unfortunately, this is the second time I am receiving my order incorrectly from Tri-Valley. I put very specific instructions for my order (dietary restrictions) and they were completely overlooked (again). The blonde woman working at the register first gaslit me into thinking I ordered from a different diner. I had to go to the business in person to prove to her that I did in fact place the order with Tri-Valley. After getting to the diner, she kept focusing on the fact that the order was *delivered* by a third party company, which is completely irrelevant to the actual situation. Her attention should have been directed to the fact that she read the order wrong to the chefs - which she admitted to afterwards. It wasn't about the money at this point, I figured since she admitted to being wrong she would at least remake the order... She instead kept hassling me to call the third party company to get a refund, because her boss wasn't there and she just takes orders/answers calls. If your sole purpose is to take orders, you would think you'd be able to read instructions placed through an app, clearly. Sad to say this seems to be a frequent mistake on Tri-Valley's part and I hope they can re-train that staff member in placing orders correctly to the kitchen and being less aggressive when she was admittedly at fault. Wish I got her name, but didn't bother asking for it - can't imagine someone with her attitude being there for long. read more

First time trying tri-valley as I'm newer to the area. The food was good, and the menu is a decent size. I found there was a handful of options for all meals of the day. I went for breakfast so I kept it simple with eggs, it was the 2 eggs with a side of meat and a side of bread (toast, English muffin, bagel, etc.) I enjoyed my breakfast it was nothing crazy very standard but it really hit the spot. Our waitress wasn't so friendly though. It was kind of a strange interaction with her. As soon as we sat down she asked if we were ready to order after she was the one who seated us. She was grumpy from what I gathered because she rolled her eyes at us when we were ordering. Like I said, I ordered eggs for breakfast with bacon and then she said "toast?" To which I said yes please. She then responded again with a straight face and an eye roll, "toast?" And I said yes I'd like toast with that. I didn't realize she was asking what kind of bread for the toast because there were different items for the bread selection so I thought I was confirming yes I wanted toast and not a bagel or whatever else was available. Which could totally be on me for not understanding but she could have been nicer about it and elaborated a bit more. Anyway, we continued on with our meal and by the end when she brought over the check she put it on the table and said "can you pay now I have people waiting". There was a couple waiting at the door to be seated for sure so I understand moving people in and out quickly but I felt rushed the whole time during the experience and I think it would have been more comfortable if she was nicer about it? The diner is fairly small though there's mostly booths and there is outdoor seating (which was not full when I left). Not many places to park though there's only a few spots on the side of the building or you're parking in the street. Overall I would go back and eat there again but the waitress interaction turned me off a bit. I've eaten at Tri-Valley several times over the years. While I've never been blown away, I have always been satisfied every time I come here. I had breakfast with a colleague this morning. The seating area outside is setup as well as could be expected given the difficult times. The staff is friendly and efficient. I had the Mediterranean omelette which was very good. My friend basic eggs with home fries. Coffee was solid, not watery which all too often is what u get at some places. If you want a solid meal at a fair price in a friendly atmosphere, you'll do just fine coming here. read more

This place is down the street from our house and we are new to this town so we tried it for dinner when I was busy with work....really low prices for home style food. I like it. We also went to breakfast there when we had a free morning together and breakfast was insanely fast. I had eggs Benedict and it was exactly how I expect it. The ham and bread were cooked just right and the egg was the perfect shade of yellow when it oozed all over the bread! My husband had an omelette and it was a large portion and he said it was tasty. I hate writing bad reviews but I do this as a warning to others. Since Tri-Valley reopened earlier this year after a long remodeling, this place has gone further downhill. The food was never top notch, but it was ok. Since then, every time we order online, doesn't matter if it's UberEats or Grubhub, the restaurant screws up the order. Either they send something I didn't order or forget one. It's happened so many times that we decided we will never patronize them again. It's just too frustrating. I have to conclude that they just don't care. The food isn't that tasty and it's sloppily prepared. Often it looks like they just slapped it in the container. No more.
