Good family restaurant and brunch restaurant in town. Inconvenient parking. But overall food wasn't bad.

PROS: this place is just like a diner but a tad bit more upscale. Nice staff, great food, well priced, nice menu variety. Food comes out fast and there's a good amount of parking CONS: only a one person bathroom which causes a backup. Meanwhile they're slow with the paying process at the register which causes a line OVERALL: amazing place to come and eat at. If you're tired of going to diners and getting a diner vibe this is the next best thing

Tri-Valley is our go to for breakfast, sometimes lunch and dinner. Friendly service, convenient lot and street parking, fast service, decent pricing and good portions. They manage to keep the same steady staff who always greet you with a smile. Sandy is the very best and when she's not around, she's missed. Eat in or take out-you won't regret it!

Tri-valley reopened this week after being closed for last 7 months due to renovation. A totally different look, with all new furnitures and interior. Looks much welcoming and brighter than pre-reno days. This was my first time returning to tri-valley after few years, as my previous experience was underwhelming. But this time I had a great dine-in. Loved their renovated look and seems like the food quality improved as well. Loved the spicy shrimp tacos, excellent mix of vegetables, fried shrimp and sauce. Other breakfast items like french toast and break were well made too. We ordered the mickey mouse pancake for our daughter, it was pretty cool, and tasted amazing with some chocolate chips mixed into the pancake. With much different positive experience this time around, I'll surely be making more trips to Tri-valley in future.

My family and I have been coming here since moving to town 13 years ago. We absolutely LOVE it. Since the renovation it's somehow even cleaner and brighter. Inviting and family owned and run (2nd generation). Don't miss out on Tuesdays with your little ones. Colors the Clown brightens the kids faces with balloon animals and face-painting. The food is homey hearty and fresh, as good as any top-notch diner in NJ. Generous portions. Our favorites are their omelettes, home fries, eggs Benedict, and chicken Cesar salad. The dessert counter is also filled with delicious treats. Muffins, cupcakes, pies, cookies, cake and even a napoleon (my personal favorite). Even with a packed house, (like it typically is) they get the food out quickly and the servers are very attentive with everyone. We're so happy they are opened again. We feel HOME here!

Visiting from Maryland and this was a restaurant chosen by my sister in law who is from Nj and I'm so glad she introduced us to this place. I liked that I could reserve a table online. Inside gives me diner vibes but modern style and the colors inside give that warm feeling. I was surprised to see how many different things they had on the menu since I feel most places cut down what they provide. I ordered my son a Mickey Mouse pancake and it has chocolate chips and I ordered a waffle with cannoli topping. I added bacon and eggs to my order and the price was really good for everything. We ended up having leftovers because of the good portions given. I was pleased with how everything tasted. The cappuccino I highly recommend and it felt strong but a good strong. The service was great as well. This is definitely a gem to me.

Clear instructions, none were followed.

A good all around diner. Everything I have ordered has been at least good. Nothing to complain about except it's a too far from me.

It's idiotic management. They have the waiters and waitresses working with no rhyme or reason. Instead of having assigned wait staff, one outdoors, one in the bar and one in the dining room, they have them all overlapping covering multiple tables and providing poor service for everyone. It took an hour and a half to have lunch today because the poor waitress had to work outside and inside. It hurts their tips and it's not even their fault cause they're doing their best. Management wake up and get things in order.

It's lively, a little eclectic, and full of personality in the best way. The food matches that energy perfectly. The nachos and cheesesteaks are not just good, they're fun. What really sets La Taberna apart, though, is everything happening beyond the plate. Live music, and other events give the place a vibrant, social feel. It's ideal for a fun date night or just getting together with friends and enjoying the moment. I've been there many times, and it never disappoints. Tenafly, NJ 07670 French Dip Tater Tots Marshmallow Soft Serve Appearance: 10/10 Taste: 10/10 Located in the Riveredge Row Strip Mall at the intersection of Riveredge Road and Tenafly Road is a locally owned high end sandwich shop. Let's check out the two course meal I explored: French Dip: This signature sandwich was loaded with shaved prime rib, bits of bell peppers and was topped with melted swiss cheese. It was perfectly diagonally sliced on an Italian baguette. The beef was tender and juicy; also included was a savory au jus and a sharp horseradish sauce which both enhanced the flavor. I was more than satisfied down to the very last bite. Tater Tots: The tots make an excellent side to the sandwich. They were crunchy on the outside while soft and pillowy on the inside. The ketchup is a pretty decent, but the garlic aioli wins the dipping contest by a long shot. Marshmallow Soft Serve: To close out the meal, I explored this heavenly dessert. Roasted marshmallow is added to the base of the ice cream. The appearance may be simple and plain Jane, but its rich, smooth, and creamy taste is in a league of its own. As a bonus, a complimentary water cooler with ice and lemon slices is available. If you do not wish to drink water, a variety of cans and bottles are available for purchase. Thank you server Hailey and the cooking crew for preparing a flawless meal. #the130shop #130shoptenafly #frenchdipsandwich #marshmallowsoftserve

Eat MEAT!!!…read more If you are looking for a fantastic food oriented small business to accomplish this task, @the130shop has a menu full of meaty goodness. #The130Shop 's powers that be decided that @BigDudesBigFoods needed to try everything on menu! We started with the "French Dip" with plenty of au jus. Batting second was a delicious "BaconGrilledCheese" with cheddar & chihuahua cheese and some savory tomato soup for dipping. Joe & I hit up the "1/2. LB Meatball" samich next which was so good that you think that you are at a place that strictly makes meatball parm sandwiches. We tried the "130 Cheeseburger next with bacon lettuce and tomato . This double burger masterpiece is piled high and tasty too. As though there was any room on the table in came the "Buttermilk Fried Chicken" with cherry peppers, coleslaw, pickles and sherry Aïoli. That is no ordinary chicken sandwich. Also in this cruise buffet rivaling feast was a "Chicago Style Hotdog" with the works, perfectly cooked shoestring fries and crispy "tater tots." There was not a bad bite in the bunch. My favorite was the Bacon Grilled Cheese and I think Joe's was the 130 Cheeseburger but he also liked the horseradish sauce that came with the French Dip. Not that we want to disappoint our followers but there were doggy bags involved. The 130 Shop is really cool spot in Tenafly,NJ with a great staff and amazing chef.‍ It's part of a trio of establishments in the area with 130 Club and 130 Social. The food is where it was a bit disappointing to me. I can appreciate the wide variety of items on the menu, but not when the quality varies so much. We ordered a few pasta dishes (one that was on the daily special), a few taco dishes, an order of wings and the brussel sprouts. All of the pasta dishes were huge disappoints. They looked like pasta dishes from Applebees. The sauces were very runny and the kids pastas were the most basic pastas that were way overpriced for what they were. My daughter who loves pastas only ate about 1/3 of it and told me she didn't like it. The wings were dry and not saucy enough. The tacos were OK. The brussel sprouts were the only standout dish that we ordered. I liked their extensive draft beer menu though. Lots of variety to choose from and the drinks were fresh. Overall, I'd certainly come back here and hope that I pick some better food choices or a big improvement on the food quality, but a fun place to hang out at.
