His team was running behind but he communicated the whole time. When he arrived there was not dilly or dally. He just went to work. His team did a great job. Good communication throughout the bid process and during the actual job. He gave a pretty accurate and very competitive estimate over text after confirming a lot of detail with me. I wanted to get rid off an old gross spa tub in my backyard from the previous owner. Some other haulers did not know how to cut the electrical and plumbing connections. Spa companies were charging a lot just to cut the electrical and plumbing connections but not haul away the tub. Other spa haulers gave higher estimates. Jeff could both cut the connections and haul away the tub that came under many other bids. The day of the job, him and his crew showed up right on time and were very communicative. There was actually a rat living in the foam under the tub and they did their best to clean up the loose pieces of foam that was chewed up. The rat actually ran out of the tub while they were carrying a section out! So the fifth star is for them having to deal with the rat! read more

My backyard is on an impossible SF hill accessed only by a steep, narrow, alley. And then the thing had to go on its side down narrow garden stairs and around a sharp corner onto a small deck. "Great Service and Great Communication" ...I called and left a message with Jeff late Wednesday evening requesting service/assistance for the follow day (less than 24hr notice) in Livermore. I needed assistance removing and loading a 1000 lb spa onto my trailer which I had purchased on Craigslist (I Live about 4hrs away from Livermore). I found Tri-Valley on Yelp. Jeff was friendly and professional on the phone, and we agreed to meet at the property 9:30-10:30am on Saturday. He called me at 9:07am saying they couldn't get the hot tub out (no one was at the property yet, so I assume they just let themselves in - which was fine). He asserted that I was incorrect in saying they originally brought it in through the side gate, and that they must've used a crane. I rushed over there in a panic. Jeff called again at 9:14am saying he realized that they could indeed fit it through the side gate. At my place, they had to traverse a wet, steep field into my back yard, which they did with grace. Jeff was extremely patient over the few days it took to coordinate the move. Between the owner, neighbor (we had to take it out through the neighbor's yard and gate) and getting the time off work, it was a scheduling nightmare. He showed up promptly at the scheduled time! His crew was careful, and treated the unit delicately. It took him a couple of minutes to assess the surroundings and devise the best way to move the unit. I was impressed with his equipment - the dolly and trailer were clean and in perfect condition. His crew was extremely careful in ensuring the spa was seated and strapped in for the move. I just wanted to say thank to Jeff and his crew... I called Jeff a week earlier and set an appointment for the following week. The day of the move, he was there with his crew and removed our hot tub with ease. The challenging part would be its destination and that the hot tub had to be maneuvered around a AC unit that was 3 feet tall, a walkway of 32 inches and a sloped retaining wall. Jeff quickly decided to make 2 ramps that were about 18 inches tall, just enough so the tub would fit. And just like that the tub was in my back yard, no issues and no damage. Originally I called the "Spa Movers Bay Area" and talked to someone, they advised me to get measurements and call back. I did as asked and called back, left messages and even sent an email. Never heard back from them. Jeff and his crew are reliable and returned calls (and texts) which made me feel comfortable, because you never know who you're dealing with over the phone. Based on my experiences with hot tub movers, I would highly recommend you calling and using Jeff and his crew to move your hot tub. The entire experience was efficient and smooth. There were some complications getting the hot tub under the beams and through the gate into the backyard, but Jeff had an answer for each roadblock. They were also very cautious in regards to both the hot tub and the property. If you only want our rating, believe the 5 Stars and hire Jeff & crew. If you want our reasons, read on.... We solicited estimates from 4 movers, 2 'full service' spa sales, installation, maintenance, and removal companies, and 2 'move only' firms. Tri Valley Spa Movers was both the first company to call us back [via cellphone, while driving on another job!], and the lowest estimate of the four. Jeff also said he could fine-tune his estimate if we could send photos of the current installation; after receiving our photos he lowered his estimate by roughly 10%. [NOTE: Jeff's final price was slightly less than half the cost of the 'full service spa companies' estimates, and roughly 25% lower than the other 'moving only' estimate we received.] Jeff worked within our calendar availability, and set a date within a week of our phone call. On the scheduled date he recognized about 30 mins prior to arrival that traffic was going to cause him to be about 15 mins late so he called to let us know (then arrived only 10 mins later than originally scheduled). We appreciated him letting us know he'd be a little late. Access to our spa was down a driveway with new plants along one side; then under a perimeter light string across the walkway separating the driveway from the back lawn; then across roughly 20' of lawn with established plants along one side; then across roughly 20' of decking with the odd support post to navigate. Spa was removed with no damage to any plants, no damage to lawn, no damage to lights, and no damage to deck or deck support structure. No work residue was left behind -- no trash, no odd section/parts of spa, no trace they had been there. Remaining electrical wiring was safely and securely wrapped off, with no damage to any of the wiring, conduit, switch/breaker box, or adjoining outlets. Everything appeared just as it had been prior to removal, with the exception that there was just no spa there anymore! Little interaction/conversation with crew, but to a man they were courteous, respectful, and efficient, got right to work and left no trace behind. The team showed up on time, were careful not to damage the deck at the first site, delivered the hot tub from Felton to Soquel, were paid - BAM done - no problems and a great deal. After working with Jeff at Tri Valley, i can honestly say that i've received better service from a rep at home depot (home depot service is the worse). At first they seemed to be professional, but once they showed up I knew I shouldn't have hired them. They came into my property without calling me first. They were not courteous, or professional and didn't even bring their own tools. I had to let them borrow my own and when they were finally taking my spa out, they scratched the spa and my home. Now i gotta pay someone to repaint that section of my home and someone to repair the spa because now it leaks. To top it all off, they switched prices on me (even after all the mess they made). We had agreed on a certain amount, then they increased the price. Saying that if I don't pay they would leave my spa in the front yard as is. It's unbelievable that such people are still scamming innocent customers. STAY AWAY FROM TRI VALLEY SPA MOVERS!!! Jeff, you're bad service provider.
