My experience with Trico long distance movers was not the best. I called to receive a quote, sent in pictures of everything being moved and on moving day my quote was doubled. I was told a majority of my items needed to be crated and this was an additional charge per item. I decided to leave behind furniture that was too expensive and crated only 3 items. A stone coffee table and two side tables. Upon its arrival, the coffee table top was broken in 3 pieces. I spent $300 on it's crating, and had basic insurance on the item. I was advised by the store I purchased the item that a crate is how they transport stone slabs. But only if the crate was created properly. My item was thrown into a makeshift crate without any padding or shock absorbers. It wasn't a crate, just a box with one piece of thin foam on one side. The delivery drivers commented one the opened the "crate" that the crate was not made well and there's a high chance once we unwrap the top that it will be broken. It was broken and I paid them $300 to break my furniture. Close to $8000 for a move which was not organized well. Their storage fee for one month was $800 which is inflated. They also attempted to charge me another storage fee during my moving window. They did not take any accountability for their negligence and work. And their resolution was paying me $100 for a $1000 coffee table and to refund me for the "crate". I would not recommend or use them again if you have anything of any sort of value to ship. read more

The only time there was clear communication was before booking and paying for the shipment of my car. After payment, there has been a clear lack of communication and organization in moving my car from the west to east coast. Regarding pick up, I received a text message saying the driver would pick up my car around noon-afternoon on 5/20. By 6pm, there were no updates at all. I had received the driver's number in the text and so I directly contacted the driver, George. During the call, George said that I wasn't on his pick-up list but he would be able to pick up my car later that evening. Throughout the pick-up, George was attentive and answered all our questions, which I greatly appreciated. He also mentioned that the car would be locked throughout the transport across the country. I can see the status of my car through an app, and during the next 8 days of cross-country transport, I could see that my car was left unlocked. I understand that I am not to put valuables inside my car, however, this was extremely concerning to see, knowing that anyone could access the contents of my car. My car arrived a week later (5/28) in the city of Philadelphia. I then received a text saying my car was estimated to be delivered in the next two days (5/29-30). However, the next two days pass and I receive no further updates. I call the Relocation Consultant I originally received my quote from, Joseph, and could not receive a clear answer of when my car could be delivered. I then receive a text on Friday morning 5/31 saying the driver is in Philly, PA and will let us know his time of arrival as soon as possible. Then at 11:30 am the same day, I received a text saying the delivery is estimated for over the weekend. My father calls the company on Saturday 6/1, they say the delivery time is between 4-6pm that day. After that, we receive no updates, no communication on my car. It is currently Sunday 6/2 and I have received zero updates on the status of my car. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of organization and accountability of Trico Long Distance Movers. I was referred by my aunt who has had 2 cars transported by Trico who did not have these issues previously. I am very concerned about the current status of my car, is my car still in your possession, and will I ever receive my car? I understand that the original estimate of delivery was in 5-7 days (reported to me by Joseph), however, the time has greatly exceeded this estimate. I have been patient, but it is now approaching 2 weeks with no clear answer of when my car will be returned to my possession. read more

Most of the items packed by Trico have been damaged or completely destroyed during shipping. * a $300 glass tank that we warned them was HEAVY. Completely smashed. * a floor lamp completely destroyed * a $2500 TV was scratched and dropped on the door step of our new home (in front of us) which resulted in dead pixels all over the edges * $200 file cabinet dented * $200 stainless steel trash can dented and scratched * vintage chair foot smashed against the entrance and broken. (Sigh) * several boxes were punctured through and the items inside were damaged. My PC case is now bent because so much pressure was applied. Mugs and glasses broken.... * they will disassemble everything that they can to stuff your items as compactly as they can. They did this to our stand up desks and a result they broke the leg of mine. It no longer lifts... the frame itself is $460... Just so you know, they come to your place, pack your stuff in a truck, unload the truck into a warehouse, load your stuff in another truck and then move your stuff. So although it looks like they took care of our furniture in front of us, they likely don't give a fuck during this unloading and reloading. And once you've paid, don't even bother We filed a claim and we got 400$ back out of 8k. The company does not care. I bet it subcontracts the shit out of their team, probably doesn't pay them shit, doesn't offer benefits and pressure them to go fast. The only thing that went well was the cars shipping. (Summary of my original review: Trico did a satisfactory job with one cross-country move. The second time, about $1,000 worth of items that the Trico movers packed arrived damaged -- just shy of the insurance deductible we purchased. Follow-up emails to the company were met with remorse but no attempts at further resolution.) Trico definitely monitors Yelp reviews -- within about a day of my original two-star review, the company contacted me via Yelp and asked to get in touch with more details. We had some email and phone discussions, and based on their response time it was clear they were interested in reaching a resolution where we'd be (more) satisfied. In the end, they ended up reimbursing us for some of the damages. We were happy enough with the initial amount they offered. It wasn't full replacement value, of course (we weren't looking for that anyway), but enough convey that they were sorry for the trouble. For anyone who ends up in the same situation as I did, where some of your things are damaged but it's under your insurance deductible, FILE AN INSURANCE CLAIM ANYWAY. YMMV, but they'll review the claim and there's a chance they may be able to offer something. Accidents happen, but the way a company responds to them also matters, so I'm willing to bump them to 3 stars (defined as A-OK by Yelp's definition). I was helping my friend move back home to NorCal from campus since her lease ended and when I was looking up moving companies, since she didn't know any in the area. I came across Trico Long Distance Movers while doing some research online. Moving can be really stressful but Trico made it so easy. I called them to request a quote and they responded promptly about a competitive quote. We arranged plans for moving (location, time, etc...) and it was super simple. When my friend was moving out, the movers arrived on time and were really cooperative and polite. They helped us pack up everything and had special wooden crates for valuables and containers and covers for the more fragile items. They delivered my friend's belongings without problems and arrived to her new place on time, just as we planned. I like how careful they are with the belongings and how accommodating they are. Trico also offer many other services as well including storage, auto shipping, cross country moving, and packing/unpacking services. I would recommend them to a friend (many of them are graduating and moving in and out of LA) and I will check out their other services in the future as and when required. read more

Another Update to my review: In the day since posting my review, "Trico" has somehow adopted the DOT number for Kerb, while Kerb Inc (a 3rd name) has somehow adopted an entirely different number. Apparently, Trico has a history of recycling a variety of DOT license numbers, with their business name and location changing on regular basis (which allow them to continue operating despite regular license revocations by US authorities) revoking their license on a monthly . Update: We reached a settlement. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS MOVING COMPANY! That's the crux of this review. This company made my cross-country move to Atlanta a nightmare. In short, the movers arrived late, appeared hungover, attempted to scam me out of my belongings, and broke/damaged many of them. Trico seems to think that if even the PIECES of your items arrive, you shouldn't receive an appropriate refund. The entire experience was unsettling and hurtful considering how serious this move was due to the pandemic. Avoid at all costs. When I booked in August for the early October move, I gave a temp address and told Brian, the reservation agent, I'd update once I signed my lease. I gave the correct address in early September via email and phone. Brian quoted me nearly $10K for a household and car move, completing a phone and virtual inventory assessment. We both agreed that my apartment was organized and tidy, so the move should have been easy. I included packing services so I could focus on starting my virtual onboarding at my new job rather than trying to pack myself. I reiterated multiple times that I needed the move to start as early in the day as possible since my train to Atlanta left that night. Instead, the movers showed up around 11:30 am, piddled around until they officially started at 12:30 pm, took a lunch at 2:30 pm, returned around 4 pm, and continued haphazard, slow, and reckless packing until after 9 pm when I finally had to leave to avoid missing my train. They were still there when I left. In all, I think the entire job took them over 10 hours. I found out later that they left a huge scratch on my apartment door in retaliation. I have relocated multiple times - sometimes packing myself and sometimes having movers pack. This was the longest and most trifling experience of them all. My packing and moving has never taken longer than six hours. They tossed glass artisanal spice bottles on top of one another and found then used my (packed) bed blanket as cushion. Now both are ruined (see pictures). They wrapped my large flat screen in a blanket and put pictures in TV boxes with mirrors, TVs, and other artwork. None of it was secured or cushion-wrapped. My mattress arrived smelling like mildew and had brown stains on it. One of my TV bases was cracked. My large buffet had scratches and a damaged leg. One of my bookcases was broken. An end table was irreparably bent. Clothes were stuffed in boxes with no wrapping to prevent water damage. I still can't find my bedroom lamps; at least one of the living room lamps is inoperable because of missing pieces. Electronics were thrown in with delicate items. Dishware was poorly packed and thrown together, most of which ended up broken. None of the furniture was wrapped properly, so everything had a horrible smell, which took weeks to clear out. They purposely left certain items out in an attempt to take them and would have succeeded if my friend and I hadn't lingered around to literally watch them box and tag every item. The most insulting part is that I found my mother's picture urn tossed around like trash on top of other items. I was and still am completely disgusted. I notified Brian and others on the team of my issues the same day, as the movers were moving my belongings, including pictures to prove they were still packing at nearly 9 pm. I explicitly told Kat that, at a minimum, I wanted to be reimbursed for the packing costs, which were over $1,600. She said my request was noted but she couldn't give a final offer until after my belongings arrived. It took weeks for my things to come. I spent the entire time anxious and scared not knowing would need to be replaced but certain that a lot had gone wrong. I realized Brian never updated my address the day my car arrived. I had to ride-share to a random location because the delivery person was too lazy to pay attention to my actual address and locate the ample parking. The day my belongings arrived, I missed two work meetings because they didn't have the right address either. I kept going downstairs to meet and open the door for them, but they weren't there. I realized all the damage once they began bringing items in. I immediately contacted Kat again to discuss a settlement. I was told to completely unpack before making an agreement. When I contacted Kat again and completed the official form, I requested a $4,000 reimbursement for the damage. I was offered $250 and told that by law I should only be offered $150 because I didn't book the extra insurance which would have been an additional $1,000. I explained that the entire problem was that the movers did a horrible job, which I notified Brian about in real time. It had nothing to do with transport issues. Kat then offered me $500; I declined. The most recent offer was $750. I declined again. I'm now submitting my review and a complaint with the BBB. read more

We are beyond thrilled with the service of Trico, their team coast to coast was outstanding!!! We did a move from LA to NY since we got a new apt still have primary places in LA. They were so accommodating picking up at 2 locations in LA (BH and Venice) and then transporting across the country to NYC. Not too familiar at the time when I was getting quotes on how it works, you get a window of time on when your items should arrive in the city you are shipping too which was within the time for about a week we would be in NYC then head out on vacation. We really wanted to be here when our stuff was delivered and Trico was trying to accommodate us but let us know our time frame would be cutting it close. We got the call our stuff was in NY couldn't be delivered until the day after we would already be gone. It was okay, we had family that could accept on our behalf. Well a few days later we got a call saying they could deliver that Wednesday which we would be there. That's what I call awesome service. The drivers at the local LA branch did a great job picking and wrapping up our furniture in LA and the delivery team in NY did a fantastic job dropping off and helping us place the furniture according to our apt layout. Thus far, great service. I will update after I receive my stuff in a few weeks. I was moving long distance from LA to the DC area in March. After reading some horrifying reviews of other companies that stole your stuff, lost your stuff, arrived late or were rude, Trico had the best reviews here and on other websites listing good long distance movers in LA. I'm so glad I listened to reviews. Price: They were fairly priced (about $4.5k to move across the country, pack myself, no car). Quotes: From the beginning, they were really polite and helpful. I reached out for a quote, and they asked me to list all my items. I asked them to appraise my things in my home, which they scheduled for just a few days later. That guaranteed the price so they couldn't change it. They honored my price, even though I had a few more boxes than expected (because I ended up not taking a large, heavy item). Pickup: The pickup was great! Four men called me an hour before coming and showed up on time. It rarely rains in LA, but these movers were prepared for my move on a rainy day. They laid out blue carpets to avoid tracking mud into my house. They pointed out every item that was broken (before they got there) and photographed them so there wouldn't be confusion on the back end. Everything was labeled and cataloged. I knew exactly how many items they took. Scheduling the pickup: I requested a Wednesday morning, and they said they'd try, but that they'd call me the day before with a time window. Sadly, their availability was now Wednesday afternoon, so I had to reschedule some things at work, since they require that someone be on site for the whole pickup (which makes sense from a liability standpoint). It wasn't the end of the world, but I wish that they'd just said that it would be Wednesday (and that I'd find out a time window the day before, not that they'd try to get me a morning). Followup Call: They called me to see how service was and were really nice to find out about all the details of the move. This made me feel like they actually care about what customers think (and improving the experience). Five stars just for this part! Storage Fee: Storage is free at the pickup site. When I asked them if they could move my things across the country before I had an exact address and store there, they made the exception to do that at no extra charge since there was extra space in another shipment going to DC. Trico moved me from NYC to NC over a 2 month period, with a month and a half keeping my stuff in one of their $500 storage units. For them to pack my 1 bedroom apartment and move it into my apartment in NC it cost me over $4000. Even though that was expensive it was fine because they would put the things they took apart back together and pack and unpack my stuff. The movers did a great job packing my stuff and getting it out, the issues came when I had to make a change in plans. Due to some changes I instead had them deliver to a storage unit closer to me in NC as opposed to my apartment. Since they would no longer be unloading or putting things back together I assumed that would lower the price, nope. But I was fine with it because I made the change in delivery and understood that it's a business. My movers were then late meeting me at my NC storage unit, making me late for work, AFTER they had to change the day from Sunday to Monday because of issues with their truck. Again, things happen I didn't make a fuss. Fast forward 2 months later and I am moving my stuff out of my storage unit into my apartment and unpacking with my family where I realize I'm missing the majority of my prints and paintings, which included my diploma, my passport and irreplaceable momentos from college (I graduated in 2022, so these are really important to me as a recent grad). I was also missing several major pieces from my bed. I reached out to them about the prints/paintings/diploma only, as I was able to get the bed places replaced. After offering me $2 for my box as they reimburse by weight, they offered me $100 as a customer courtesy. After expressing that this was a slap in the face they offered me $170 and a really kind word saying, "it is always advised not to keep valuables/ important documents in boxes." 1 of my canvases alone was worth $90 (and by my count I'm missing 10 prints/canvases, not including my composite photos from every year of college that were framed), and most importantly, I truly cannot replace the college momentos that were lost. This company is a scam who charges over $2000 more than competitors promising safety for your items, only to make the loss of important items a learning lesson and offering a laughable amount to replace what can be replaced. You're better off elsewhere or even doing it yourself because that will be less frustrating. 2 stars solely because the man who helped me in the beginning, Jacob, was so helpful and deserves all the praise. read more

I couldn't recommend Trico any more highly. After extensive research, I chose Trico to move my car from Los Angeles to Virginia in January 2019, and the service was remarkable. (See my review from March 1, 2019.) Because of the exceptional experience I had with my car, I chose Trico again when I had to move my household items to Virginia, too. Jeff was the epitome of professionalism through the whole process. He returned my calls and emails promptly and was patient with my multiple questions about what was my first long-distance move. Because I was in Virginia when I booked the move, I had to make a guess at the square footage of my items in a storage unit in LA and I was going to be charged accordingly. When I got to the storage unit a day before the movers arrived, I saw that my belongings took up less space than I guessed. I took a picture and emailed Jeff, asking if my guaranteed price could be recalculated according to the new square footage; he recalculated the price without any questions. The team of 3 who loaded (and packed free-standing items) my belongings were also professional and so efficient. They confirmed their pickup window the day before, then called 45 minutes before arriving, which was just about 15 minutes into the pickup window. Each box was numbered and I was given a detailed copy of the box list. I received a text as soon as my belongings began their travel across the country and continued to receive a text each day, indicating the city and state the truck was in at the time. I received both a text and a phone call two days before (and again the day before) the truck arrived, giving me the expected delivery day and window. I received a call from the driver almost 2 hours before the truck arrived. My delivery window was from 10am-2pm, and the doorbell rang at 9.59am. The delivery team, Uros and Ricky, were amazing. Again, they were so professional and efficient, and they tasked me only with marking off the box numbers as they came in the house. Every single box and piece of furniture arrived, and nothing was broken. I couldn't ask for or even imagine a smoother process for moving across the country. The price was only slightly more than others I'd seen, but the value is second to none. The stories of terrible moving experiences abound. My sister moved from California to Texas a few years ago and her moving company "lost" the truck for several weeks; it took almost two months for her to receive her items. A friend just moved from Virginia to Colorado, and the movers stole her items. But Trico delivered everything I owned from one side of the country to the other, in six days, with zero losses. Moved from CA to FL on the busiest season of the year. Moved home items and 2 cars. Called other companies: some have 2 stars, some charge up to $15k. Until I came across Trico. It was late in the day when I called, almost closing. Brian took time to take my info, my dates and destination. The price was reasonable. *remember, these movers and trucks are losing daysss to drive from CA to FL* So the price I got quoted for the home items and the 2 cars (one of which is non operational/ old/ heavy) are very very reasonable and highly competitive. I know I'm moving across the country so I was prepared to pay $,$$$. For the price of renting a Uhaul from CA to FL, you can easily just hire Trico. I spoke to Nick for the 2 cars. He too was very helpful in the process. They were both very responsive. The company kept me in the loop where the items were real time via text. When they picked up the home items, each box was labeled with a barcode sticker with my info. Count of boxes were double checked with me. The only reasons why I would give 4 stars and not 5 is because cars and items were picked up via contracted companies. Unlike what was pictured on their Yelp. This did not hinder any of the process. Items and cars were still delivered the date and time that was communicated to me. The cars came in first. **Reminder: if your car is old and there's cracks in the windshield - it will get bigger. Understandably so as the cars are on an 18 wheeler. You can call the hotline to get an update of status of delivery. Delivery: Delivered on time as informed Price: pricing was similar to a few other companies but base on the feedback, i felt more safe. There were other companies that offered cheaper about 30% but seem skeptical. Therefore base on an educated guess, i went with the higher price and reliable feedback transporter. You get what you pay for. If it sound to good to be true, it's not. Transaction was quite easy and quick. Payment was charged on my credit card. Chose this company to move my items for a cross country move. Let me say that my experience with them was simply ok. It was not stellar and it was not the worst ever. They were communicative about booking the move and talking about the details of the move but once the move was booked they were not as communicative as needed. The day of the move, all of the numbers I was given to call for the "day of contact" rang through to voice mails when I tried to connect with them about the fact that the movers never showed up. I heard nothing from the movers until late in the evening and they rescheduled for the next day. Thank goodness I had the sense to book a few days before I actually left the city. The time window was as stated... between 20-30 days depending on when they could get it on a truck. Once the movers actually came, they were quick and efficient. Trico was communicative via email, text and calls once my items were loaded onto the truck and on its way. It was helpful to know when the truck made it to each state so I could track when they would arrive. They were also communicative upon arrival and showed up on time to deliver my items. Unfortunately, I had asked the movers to load in the items in a specific way so I would have easy access to the items i would need. They said they were unable to do so which forced me after they left, to actually move the items to the spots I needed them stored in. I also had many items like lamps, tables, and bookshelves that were completely broken and the movers actually moved them into the space broken and said nothing about it. I had to find out later when I went back to check on the items that i found that they in fact were broken and I had to throw these items out. Upon browsing different car companies, I decided to go with Trico because of their great customer service (although the price was very similar to other companies). Mike was super nice via the phone and tried to arrange my ideal pick up date. Whenever I had a question, the staff would take time to explain or call me back to clarify. Trico contracts their car shipping service to CAA, which I think also picks drivers from other car shipping companies. While the pick up date was a day earlier than my ideal date, everything still went smoothly. A local driver first picked up my car and then another local driver contacted me about dropping off my car at a Target nearby. The drivers were very responsible and called me the day before and the day of the pick up/drop off. I chose Trico because of the great reviews, even though another company quoted me for slightly less. I wanted a company I felt I could trust, with great customer service and no hidden fees. (I'm not saying the other company had hidden fees, I was just too exhausted to take that chance.) This was my first long distance move, so I can't say how it compares to other services necessarily, but I can say I loved the webpage that had a visual breakdown of all of the things I was planning to move. It made it easy for me to visualize what we were agreeing to, and it was also very easy to make small adjustments to that quote. After they got my stuff, I began getting text messages updating me as to which state my stuff was in every day or two, which was kind of interesting, as I was able to track the progress of the move, and even tell my friends. ("Look, my stuff is in Colorado." haha) I absolutely thrive on communication and organization, so these little things were a big deal to me. I have to say I was really dreading the day my stuff arrived, because I felt very sorry for the movers who had to carry all of my stuff up four flights of narrow stairs. Complicating things was the fact that there was absolutely no parking or place to stop in front of my building. After a small bit of concern on the point of the two movers who arrived, they simply got to work and made it happen. They were both friendly, intelligent guys, and what struck me most was how gentle they were with the boxes. They were careful in the way they brought them in, stacked them, and moved them. I was transporting a lot of delicate African masks, and ceramic art, and everything arrived in good order, with no broken items whatsoever. I was extremely pleased with the service, especially all of the communication and evident care, and will definitely use them again for my next move. I used Trico to move my son's furniture and boxes from Orange County, CA to San Antonio, TX. Like a lot of people, I was dubious of moving companies after reading and hearing about other people's nightmare experiences. After reading the reviews, getting all my concerns addressed by Matthew in Trico's sales department (who was very professional and accessible) and carefully reading their binding agreement and very competitive quote, I decided that Trico was my best option. To say the least, my expectations were completely surpassed by Trico! Everything in the agreement was adhered to, as well as everything promised by Matthew. The local movers who picked up my order were on time, extremely professional and packed everything with care and precision. All items were labeled and included in an inventory list. Furniture with legs were disassembled and labeled, including the screws. There attention to detail was impressive. While I knew, according to the agreement, that delivery could take as long as fourteen business days, I was given assurances by the customer service office that they would meet the timeframe. I was notified when the movers left for San Antonio and given status reports along the way regarding ETA. My son, who accepted delivery, was also in communications with the movers. They arrived sooner than we anticipated and completed the delivery into his apartment without any issues. My son was extremely pleased with the way his furniture was unpacked and reassembled. There was no extra payments upon delivery and no issues or damage. What more could we ask for! Thank you very much Trico for making what I feared could be a disaster into a very pleasant and hassle-free experience. I am grateful for all the yelp reviewers for their reviews on Trico Long Distance Movers, because of the reviews, I decided to reach out and hire them! :D We recently moved from California to Colorado Springs, CO. This is our first time moving in such long distance. So we were very careful with the company we choose to work with. I called several different Moving companies to compare prices as well as to get a feel of them. And when I called Trico Long Distance Movers, I got a chance to speak with Matthew. Matthew sounded very trustworthy, and he knew what he was talking about. The price he quoted me was also very reasonable. Matthew was also very quick at responding all my emails an calls when I had questions or concerns. We didn't have much stuff to move, no furniture (we sold all of our furniture), but when the movers came, they were very professional, efficient, and careful with our household items. They made sure everything was packed right and wrapped tight. It only took them an hour to 2 hours to finish the whole thing. The household items took sometime to arrive in Colorado, which Matthew did disclose that in the beginning. However, when they dropped everything off, everything was still very professionally done and they were very efficient! :) They have a really great system :) We also hired TriCo to move our car for us from Cali to Colorado. Which only took 2 days to arrive. It was very soon! Which we so greatly appreciate! :) Overall, we had a really great & pleasant experience with Trico. If we ever need to move to another state, I will definitely contact them again! Highly recommend this company! I had a 2017 Toyota RAV4 shipped from Atlanta to Delray Beach, Florida. There was good news and bad news with this move, it was not all roses but in the end Trico stepped up and took care of some issues we had. The delivery was not exactly smooth. Originally the driver was supposed to deliver on a Friday to my new company in Florida. Then he was going to drop off the vehicle on Thursday instead. He connected with the person in Florida who was going to take delivery of the vehicle for me in the morning on Thursday. He estimated a 2pm delivery time. It didn't show up until 11:30pm. It was late, far too late in the evening, but the vehicle did arrive. My new company wasn't happy about it and I had a conversation with Trico about this issue the following day and I thought that would be the end of it. "We're sorry this happened, but there's not much we can do." To their credit, Trico did not simply disappear after that first conversation. A manager called me multiple to talk through my experience and get the full story on what happened so he could correct the issue. Ultimately they made the situation right for everyone involved and I would honestly use their services again should I ever have to move another vehicle. It's nice when a company doesn't just stop at "Sorry, but not much we can do" but continues a dialogue to set things right. Good customer service is harder and harder to find today, this was a refreshing experience. read more

My experience using Trico was great! Jason helped me every step of the way and made sure that any time I emailed him, he called within 20 minutes and helped me with any issues and concerns I had. I was dealing with a very tight and specific time frame for my pick up and Jason helped me find someone to take my car at the last minute. The driver that picked up my car was also incredibly nice, helpful and kind. The whole team I dealt with was patient, accommodating and friendly which made the whole move stress free. My only complaint is that it was a little pricier than a lot of the other places I had originally researched, but with the service and kindness I dealt with, I am completely fine with that. This company FAR exceeded my expectations of a moving company. They communicated well, they treated my belongings like their own, the process they have in place was top notch. I was comfortable enough with this company that I even left at one point during the packing session and couldn't be there on the receiving end, so I had a friend let them in to deliver. There was NO doubt in my mind that everything would be there, in great shape and accounted for. I hope I never have to do a long distance move ever again due to the other stresses that go with a move- but if I do find myself in that situation, I will 100% use this company again as that will be one less thing to worry about. Even though it took 20 days for delivery, it is well communicated and within timeframe provided. I took full service including packing and they did great job. I spoke to Patrick who was my phone guy who took the reservation all was good he was responsive called me back every time when I had questions, the day of the move a truck on time, The job got done in a timely matter, Trico sends you messages on your cell phone letting you Know where your furniture is, It was totally inaccurate totally frustrating Because the last text I got the truck was in Denver Colorado and they called me they wanted to deliver the furniture, I got a call from Trico stating that the truck could not make it up my driveway I live on a farm with a long driveway, but I was told the truck could not make it up the driveway, I wanted my furniture so I paid the extra $200 The movers this time where more professional. There was some breakage glassware plus a marble top So the conclusion is if you need a moving company that does a pretty decent job call Trico. read more

I was very satisfied with the movers. I did pack my most delicate items myself: A crystal lamp and my crystal champagne glasses. They packed some of my other things: artwork, a mirror. I have now used this company twice and would again. In the first job there was damage to one of my paintings (I'm an artist) that wasn't separately insured and yet they paid for the repair anyway. In my second move there was virtually no damage (a couple of inconsequential dishes, to be expected in a cross country move). Kelly (my contact in Atlanta) was friendly, professional and helpful. Well trico is a love hate relationship. The car service was awesome. Moved from Texas to California and had our cars (my husband's and I) here in Cali within 3 days. The house movement however was another story. The rep was sweet handling both of car and home move. He made me believe that while they give you a 14 days window for home delivery, we would be getting our items long before that. He actually gave me a specific time frame... And we planned our hotel stays accordingly. Well, packing day came and it was nice (other than them saying we had more than they anticipated and they would add about $1500 more to our initial quote). I would have argued this with them but I gave in because my husband's company was paying and I really couldn't be bothered. Their service was awesome so I just kinda let things be. The part about their service I hated was when we didn't get our things on time and they kept referring back to their 14 business day policy even though I told them that I was told by the service rep that things usually don't actually take the full 14 days. Finally talked to a customer service rep and she told me that my goods were still in storage in Texas because they were waiting for more customers who wanted to move things from Texas to Cali as well (consolidation? ... Basically they were holding my things hostage to make the move worth it for their company... even though I paid full price to have MY things here on time). Long story short, we got our things, the move was excellent for both cars and home goods from Texas to Cali... But the part that left a really bitter taste in my mouth was the latter delivery of our home goods because they were pushing to wait for more customers who might want to move things in the same trip as ours. I'll use them again but will make sure to plan my hotel stay longer and prepare to wait the full length of time their policy gives. read more
