This is purely for car transport-I did not have this company move my personal items. When you first ask for a quote to move your vehicle they are all over it...emails come back in an acceptable amount of time, your contact person is always available to speak.... The person I worked for was based out of CA (I was in NYC at the time-so be aware to the 3 hour time difference). But watch for your pricing with this company and ask for everything in writing...one day to transport my car it was one price and the next day it was 400$ more expensive when I spoke to someone else. Then when you agree...sign the contract and hand over your money you might as well no exist. So The moving company and I agreed a window and date for my car pick up. I waited for someone to call or contact me with a time and the time frame...no one...I emailed and called with no response...I finally got nasty and then thats when they called back. The driver called and said he would be at the location by 200 PM...Then he he said he couldn't make it (and proceeded to call me several other times with a different time to pick up every time he called) and it was getting dark so we agreed on a time the next day...he was still late the next day as well by over an hour. Then my car was in his possession and I wanted to see when my car would arrive to Seattle...No response from the driver at all for 2 days...to call or to text. Then I called and emailed my point person at Trico...he was never ever in. Then when I said I was going to report to the authorities for a Stolen vehicle....then magically he replied. Then magically the next day the driver contacted me and said he was in the mountains??? Really for 2 days...BS. No apologies nothing...they are very blasé about anything they do...they do not take fault for anything... I am fortunate my car did come back in one piece although very dirty...and for car transport I would not recommend this company...you do get your car eventually but there is poor customer service and no responsibility unless you threaten them. read more

The Trico Long Distance movers are great! My family members just moved with them from CA to NY. The guys don't talk much, but they are very friendly and professional. My family's furniture and fragile items were packed perfectly by the movers. We would've probably done a worse job packing ourselves, and they would've had fragile items chipped or cracked. When it comes down to it moving is not an easy feat and for any decent sized move you will eventually need professional help. Luckily, we learned this early in our move and this led us to contact Trico at the ideal time. They assured us that they would be ready to begin on the move the very next day after we called them and sent an estimator the following morning to quote how big the move would be. The entire process took about three to four days and we have received a little more than half of our things so far. They gave us a great deal on insurance bundles in case of damage or bumps but nothing seems to be out of condition. Very thorough and efficient group of movers. If you are in need of a move and realize that it is something that you alone cannot handle, even with a few friends, just give these guys a call. They are actually very affordable compared to the other guys and you will also get your whole move done much quicker and with less hassle. Would totally recommend these guys! read more

These guys were awesome and I feel very thankful that I found them! My boyfriend and I were moving from NYC to Austin, TX and needless to say we were super stressed out trying to figure out how to get everything moved across the country with minimal hiccups. I'm so glad I found Trico as Patrick their sales guy was always availalbe and very thorough with the estimate they provided. The actual movers who showed up to my apartment were awesome and even though I was definitely way over in agreed upon boxes they still accomodated me and didn't try and rip me off! Even with the increase (which they immediately called Patrick for and I received a quote on before they took my stuff-did I mention it was Satuday and Patrick had the day off but he still answered and helped me out?) it was still the best deal I was quoted by far. The company checked in with me consistently and they even sent me updates when the moving truck crossed state lines so I knew exactly where my stuff was. The movers who delivered it weren't as awesome as the ones who picked my stuff up but all of my stuff arrived scratch free and nothing was broken. Despite any external feedback I knew these movers were the right choice for us to make in regards to our next move, the competition is tough around these parts but Trico seemed like the right company to be up for the challenge. Our move sort of required a ton of effort including a lot of helpers and truckloads of equipment to get things across. They reassured us constantly that they were more than able to provide any amount of manpower and utensils needed to perform the move to our wishes. If I may be honest I was very stressed out about this move and would overthink it every night, but the confidence of the gentlemen who arrived to provide our estimation as well as the person on the phone were so well spoken. They planned out how the entire move would be set up and the approximate times and schedules that they would be able to meet. After we confirmed that the moving date as well as the shipping and delivery dates were good, they provided us a time for the in home estimation and we waited. When the men arrived they had two trucks full of guys waiting for their supervisor to let them know what to do, the man walked in with a walkie talkie and a measuring tape. He took note of all the rooms by walking around for a few moments and then radioing back as to what tools they should bring in first and where to begin hauling. It was right before they were finishing up the first room that I had realized that some of the drawers upstairs had not been fully emptied out and some still had clothing in them. They said it would be no issue and would give us time to clean it out or maybe they could even leave it until the end when everything else had been cleaned up. They did not stress us out or overcharge us for providing some more work and the fact that they were able to think of a solution really gave me positive thoughts about this company. All in all I could not be happier with how things worked out, the first day was the most difficult out of the whole week but after the first few rooms were emptied out it seemed like a breeze. The hardest part was carrying out the heavier sets of furniture up the stairs and outside into the trucks, but the men quickly developed their own system to make sure they did the best possible job they could, could not be happier with the service we received and would surely use again. read more

I understand that the Agents job is to "Sale" the move. I hate the selling process, especially when tactics feel dirty. I felt very pushed into making a decision, "I'm leaving the office in an hour and you'll lose your reservation spot." "I won't be back for days, you'll lose your spot". My email was sold so other companies are emailing me about services for the move, which is annoying. I cancelled the job and then mysteriously they were able to drop almost $500 from the price. Still tactics seemed dirty because when I said I'd think about it, I was threatened with cancellation fees, even though my original cancellation was well within the timeframe to avoid fees. The tactics are dirty. Very pushy. Based on this behavior, I didn't feel comfortable with trusting this company with my things. There are others. Use those. read more

The best long distance moving service! I moved from New York to Florida and not a single item was broken! The team packed all my furniture but I packed all the other items. I was really surprised by how well they pack! Very friendly and professional team. Very efficient. I kept all my items for 2 months in storage with them as my Miami apartment was not ready. What you'd expect from a full service moving company - capable movers, a little more expensive than desired but efficient and stress-free. They got the job done and took a huge burden off my shoulders, so couldn't recommend them more highly. Price was a bit steep, but for what we got and the hassle it saved us in our move, it was worth it.
