I came here for the opening about 2 years ago have returned several times because I absolutely love the various types of cold brew coffee. What sets this place apart is the number of different cold brew options they have available. They have everything from your standard cold brew to nitro to crazy infusions like nutella flavored cold brew!! On one of my latest visits I had one of their protein donuts and it was BOMB! We rode our bikes here and my boyfriend got a cold brew from the refrigerator of cans and when we opened it it seems it was spoiled probably the sweet cream, and when we told the guy behind the counter he tasted it and confirmed it was not supposed to taste like this. So he gave us another and it was good. He later came out to where we were sitting and said upon further investigation there was two batches one that was good and one that had gone bad. He gave us a few more cans from a new batch and apologized and was just so great about it! Wish I would've got his name definitely great customer service! And cold brew was great! read more

My bf ordered Trident's cold brew for the past few months and he is a big fan. In fact, it kind of turned him into a cold brew snob because he swears by it. So, when we were in Coronado it only made sense for us to head to Imperial Beach to go to the source. The location is a cool place to hang out on a nice day. It's bright, open, and airy. There are also trails outside and a great view of the San Diego skyline. Now, this isn't a coffee shop where you can go in and get a latte or a mocha. They do cold brew coffee on nitro so you get that smooth mouthfeel with more of the true flavors in the brew. Also, watching anything poured on nitro is just beautiful to look at. They have sugars and stuff to add to the coffee, but it's so good you might be able to just drink it on its own. Right now there's only one cold brew that is canned. I hope that changes so we can get more shipped to us. read more

Trident Coffee is the BEST cold brew spot in all of San Diego County!!! It's like having your favorite small craft brewery but instead of serving IPA's and Ales, they have a ton of different cold brews. All their cold brews can be steamed and served hot if desired. You don't have to have it cold. My personal favorite is their Ambrotos with MCT Oil! It is soooooo Good we're happy they've canned it so it can be kept chilled in your fridge and available anytime. Not cheap but nonetheless, very good. Trident has between 12-16 different cold brews on tap and I usually sample 1-2 every time I come there. Also try other custom flavors created by other cold brew coffee lovers such as yourself. They've paid to custom craft their own "signature" cold brew and may be tapped during your visit to try it out. I'm crossing my fingers that Trident Coffee can make its way to downtown Chula Vista (DTCV) and join the other shops, restaurants, and small craft beer breweries to sprout up there and revitalize the west side of Chula Vista at the place to be! Great cold brew spot! I heard of Trident a couple of months ago but never had a chance to go. Yesterday, I finally got that chance. Really cool cold brew spot right on the water/wetlands. Plenty of parking up front as the only neighbor seems to be the bicycle shop next door. They have corn hole set up in front and definitely make it appealing to sit on their patio and relax. I continue to refer to this place as a "cold brew spot" and not a coffee shop because that's what it is. They only offer cold brew, no espresso, no tea. However, they have 16 varieties of cold brew on tap. I tried the "Stoic" something, that was their strongest and sweetest blend. Very smooth! This is not a super sweet drink, but rather a subtle flavor accompanying the coffee. Price and value are reasonable and I will certainly be visiting again. read more

I'm not a big coffee drinker, let alone a "cold brew" coffee. As a matter of fact, I don't even know the names and terminology of these coffees served here but we went here anyways because the people I went with are coffee drinkers (their location is where many cyclist start their ride to Coronado). One thing for sure tho, they (employees and owner) are very nice and accommodating. Service: 5 stars - as I said, they are very accommodating and always happy to answer any questions (from a non-coffee drinker). Gave me many options and suggestions base on what I like and prefer. Their coffees are cold brew but they can also make it a hot drink. They close a little early (I believe they said 2pm) but if you're there and the owner is there, you can just go knock at the door and he'll be glad to open it up for you and serve you coffee. Coffee: I can't really tell as I am not a coffee drinker but my friends like it and they've been back. I've only tried one drink and it was ok.
