Growing up in a Vietnamese household and culture, our lattes are very special and have a very particular taste; you either get the taste correct and it's delicious or you don't and it's doesn't satisfy you. However, one of the downsides was that it wasn't always the healthiest choice so I usually only got it for special occasions. When I saw Trident Coffee's Vietnamese Keto Latte option, I was skeptical because healthier products rarely translates to equal satisfactory taste. Seeing my hesitancy, I was introduced to Matt who provided me with great service. He settled all of my doubts, cracked some good jokes to lighten the mood, and after trying it, it was hands down one of the best tasting coffees I have ever had in my life; the best part was it was healthy! Forget about the delicate compounds that make a cup worth while! The cold brew I had tasted over-yielded and over-extracted. This is easily one of the best coffee spots I've been to. My husband and I stopped in this last Sunday. We originally planned to just grab a few cold brews before we headed back out to Yuma, but instead ended up chilling here for almost an hour and half. Although I totally forgot the owners name, primarily due to being horrible with names, he was extremely well-versed in his knowledge of cold brew and the other products they offered i.e. sea-derived collagen, and sustainably sourced mct oil, while also being extremely personable and entertaining. The cold brew they offer is exceptional and diverse. I really enjoyed Trident and plan on stopping here anytime I'm in San Diego. Although I am merely just another yelper, I highly recommend this place not only for their delicious cold brews, but for everything this business represents. read more

Okay, I found this company via Instagram during the fist round of lockdowns if you will but not really lockdowns. So I placed a few orders actually more than a few, I always support veteran owned businesses as I am a veteran and its good to see people in our community doing good, positive things. They are out there handling business, serving the country and then their communities. The product here is good, I am a coffee lover, and I ordered a bad of their beans I believe it was a medium roast, it was a bit roasted for my taste I enjoy a light roast to medium but more on the light side. So the whole beans didn't really fit well for me. With that said, I have ordered via mail and I have made 1 road trip to their store front and bought a lot of the nitro cold brews. And they are by far hands down the best nitro cold brews I have ever had. And I've had a lot easily over 2 dozen different nitro brews from companies across California, Texas, Oregon to name a few. And Trident takes the win for me. Calm under Pressure is my favorite, followed by Trident then the rest in no particular order. I like that they used wholesome products no sugar. Guys keep up the great work, if a franchise ever comes in to play I'd love to get information on that! I like they are small business striving to make quality products not quantity, they are in Aldi Stores and I buy at my local Aldi store quite often I have a 12 pack in my fridge at any given time. After my first visit I couldn't stop telling people about how amazing the coffee is how helpful and friendly the staff is and the awesome atmosphere. My second visit was not as wonderful. The girl behind the counter didn't even bother to greet me. I ordered a hot coffee and was given a cold one. Seems that her phone was more important than the customer since she was in hurry to get back to it and didn't bother to snap the lid on my drink. I will come back again due to the great coffee they serve but the customer service needs some work. EDIT. I have been back a few times since this review and each time has been amazing. read more

Been on a cold brew kick lately and found this place on Yelp tucked away all the way down in Imperial Beach off the 75. Located right next to the bike path, this place is surrounded by cyclists on their way out or back from riding. There's plenty of street parking up the way, but this little coffee place is a great place to enjoy some nitro cold brew. They roast all their own coffee in house and essentially focus on cold brewing only. They have lots of different types on tap to try, they'll give you a sample of anything you ask for and even have a menu to help you select what type of flavors you enjoy in your coffee. I got some fresh cold brew off the tap and it was damn good, perhaps some of the best cold brew I've tried. Almost no bitterness at all to their brew. They even sell six packs to go if you wish to take some home and I was more than eager to take some with me. If you're down in Imperial Beach and love cold brew, this is the place to stop at. read more

I've been to a lot of coffee shops in San Diego and this one is consistent with how they treat you, they're always friendly and make you feel welcomed. I drive out of my way to get coffee here because of their welcoming nature but more importantly their coffee is the best nitro coffee I've had. They have sooo many to choose from. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this nitro cold brew. My favorite isn't on the menu but you can ask for "Captain America" and they'll know what you're asking for its creamy, with hints of cinnamon and cocoa. read more

They usually have about 5 different flavors on tap. I really like the Island Hopper. The price range from 3.50 to 5.50 for a small or large cup of this coffee. Really simple place with a few chairs and the bar area. But the best part about this place is the location. It's next to the bike path that surrounds the lower part of San Diego bay and Coronado beach areas. Nice scenery to grab your coffee and just sit back and view the outdoor scenery or people watch. Take a walk along the trail and bike paths while you drink your coffee. Good coffee and a cool place to hang out. read more

Coffee was not good. But the service is what really threw me off. The lady taking orders didn't read the order back to us to make sure she got our order correct and therefore got it wrong. She was also difficult to read because she wouldn't really respond after we gave each order. Made the whole experience so awkward and difficult I forgot to ask for a military discount. Definitely bummed we spent $15 and no one in our party could finish their coffee. read more
