SUPER friendly, offered some samples of their different coffees on tap. Really good, smooth flavor. Not bitter at all. They also sell canned coffee as well. They do not have espresso but they do have a coffee that is fairly similar tasting. I wouldn't recommend trying to park too close as the spots are fairly close together in the parking lot. Yey for the location! Fresh and Modern Ambience! Gluten free selection. Service is good. Tried theirs Charcoal Cappuccino and that was surprisingly confusing not in the good way. Lesson learned no need to invent the wheel just will stick to the classic selection from now on. Too much innovation/ over saturation of ingredients in drinks not necessary scream's quality or taste. The drink menu reads like something from a trendy ABV lounge and you may even catch the notes of bourbon from their brewing process. The Old Fashioned Cold Foam indeed feels like a rich Secret Breakfast-like hair of the dog you may need for a hangover, but the caffeinated punch will likely help you stand upright more effectively. He served me steamed, warm milk with a pump of caramel flavoring even after I asked him to put a shot of espresso in it if in fact lattes generally don't come with them. This gets two stars because this spot is small but really adorable and the guy behind the counter was extremely patient with us while we were ordering and was confident with explaining to us some of the menu items (almost too confident with my coffee-less latte lol). I found this place right after COVID lockdowns started. By pure accident and luck I went for a run around the trail next to it. Since then I occasionally stop by for keto donuts (I stock up for a few weeks), lemon lavender poppy being my favorite. If you want strong coffee this is the place to go and I love that they have keto friendly add ons. My only disappointment is that I can never get my hand on the keto bagels lol. Service is always great, even when they get extremely busy right before closing. Hopefully during the spring/summer times you guys can have seasonal keto drinks. read more

Cute, cozy coffee spot in Imperial Beach. Who knew this hidden gem was located a hop, skip, and a jump away from my usual haunts along Palm Ave? There is a small parking lot in front of the shop, as well as plenty of free street parking nearby. A friend and I tried this place out for the first time Sunday morning. Superb customer service from Jaryl, Mack, and Ricardo. Jaryl was very patient with us at the register, walking us through the menu and showcasing the unique variety of pastries they had to offer. To pair with our salted caramel cold brew and hazelnut latte w/oat milk, we tried the protein donuts (churro and maple pecan flavored--very tasty and moist!) and the raspberry crumble bar (plenty of flavor!), and I've got my eye on the keto empanadas to try next time. Prices were reasonable and as expected, which is refreshing. Our drinks were ready for us quite soon after ordering. There's a display of merch along one of the walls if you're interested, a cooler/fridge of canned and bottled beverages if you're on the go, and charming, beachy decor suitable for IB (Grogu's a plus lol). Plenty of seating indoors and some outdoors, with a serene view of the bay. Perfect place to enjoy a weekend morning. We'll definitely return!! read more

Trident Coffee claims to have the best cold brew in America. I think they're right. And I don't even usually like cold brew! The place is quaint and filled with well thought out features to make the experience enjoyable. You can taste whatever coffee flavor you please! Here's what we tried; 1) Son of a son of a sailor ( without any sweetener tho) and 2) the captain something lol I forgot what it's called!! But it has cinnamon and oat milk. Also worth mentioning is, everything is served cold unless you request otherwise. I typically prefer hot coffee, however everything we tried was excellent even cold! They have cold brew on tap! The Mexican mocha (with oat milk) stole my heart here! It is so good! It has hints of cinnamon and chocolate. Overall the taste was smooth - no awful coffee after-taste. Ayriana was very attentive from the moment I walked in providing me her recommendation and others popular choice for coffee. It feels really good these days to find establishment with staff like her. I ordered a flight of: chuuro weather the storm ambrotos daily rations The churro was my favorite.  Plenty of parking.  Friendly staff.  It reminds me of brewery tasting room but with cold brew instead of beer.
