    Cafe con leche
    Erika H.

The first time I came here was two years ago and I remember how good the trigo shake and islas canarias croquetas were. Was meeting with some friends for an early lunch last week and I suggested this restaurant. The inside is not that big and parking is terrible, but I figured the food would make up for it. Very few tables inside but it was clean and has a counter area where the customer can sit or can sit and wait for their to go order. Not sure what has happened during the past two years but the food wasn't that great this time around. We shared the simple egg sandwich with bacon, and ordered a cafe con leche, the croqueta sampler and some islas canarias croquetas. The simple egg sandwich was unflavorful. The croqueta sampler and islas canarias croquetas were my favorite. Sadly, the cafe con leche didn't even taste like cafe con leche. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed although it was just our table and two more tables she was serving. There was a total of maybe 8 customers. We had to keep asking her for more water and napkins.

Early start with my cousin whom is visiting from Orlando and wanted a good Cuban breakfast. Found this place on yelp (thanks), and it's perfect! Located in a plaza, small coffee shop vibes, very clean. Our server was Leidy, she was sweet and very helpful. Y came out quick and was fresh and flavorful. The mimosas were a hit, great balance of not being too tart. Prices are reasonable along with the portions. I'll come back and try their sandwiches next time.

Best brunch in Hialeah ! Although I've noticed their prices have gone up considerably. Service is fast and their people are friendly. We come here often as local Hialeahans. The burger they have is really good and their shakes too!

Came to this little spot for breakfast and it definitely hit the spot. They are known for the Trigo shakes which I didn't have so I need to come back but their breakfast is yummy. I had the Parisian but I was in between that and the avocado toast so the waitress told me she would add eggs and avocado and it was perfect! she was super nice and gave great recommendations. My husband got the Jockey which is eggs and steak and you could never go wrong with that! It was so flavorful and all this paired well with cafe con leche of course! Definitely will be back.

Always an amazing spot in the heart of Hialeah. Very cozy and family friendly. Despite them being soo busy at peak times, they are always attentive to offering a great service and meeting all customers requests. Always going back.

Today I gave this place a second chance after a terrible first visit about 6 months ago. The food looks and tastes like it was cooked a week ago, terrible and stale looking. No bread or olive oil on the table. This place does not taste or feel like a "spanish restaurant" The prices are very high and the quality of the food and service very low. I am not coming back, I hope that this old food does not make me sick.

Anyeli our waitress did a wonderful job taking our order, making recommendations, we also had numerous off the cuff questions about the menu. This place is not fancy, but the food is delicious. Only the local people are aware of its existence. If you're in the area, I highly recommend that you give it an opportunity.

Trigo is the bomb dot come when it comes to a fusion of Spanish tapas and Cuban American delights. My favorite time to visit is during Sunday brunches. I've tried a variety of dishes on the brunch menu and you can't go wrong - from the French toast (served with sweetened condensed milk - hello!?) to shrimp and grits. They also serve Islas Canarias croquetas which is a god send and saves us a trip to Kendall. I've also tried their trigo shake which is a yummy treat and their cafe bonbon which is a dessert in of itself. Service in my experience has been great; wait staff attentive to tables and checking in on orders. Im glad they opened up their space as it used to be very cramped. I'm looking forward to trying dinner here again. Overall a can't go wrong spot for brunch in Hialeah.

Wow is just an understatement i have been to Trigo a few times and never tried the pan con croqueta till today. It was so delicious! it had islas canarias croquetas on the inside with Swiss cheese and i added papitas juliana for the final touch. Also couldn't forget the trigo shake which made it the right combination. I ordered online through Uber eats and the order was done pretty quickly, picked up in store where the waitress welcomed me and handed me my order. Absolutely love this hidden gem in Hialeah.

His level of customer service immediately stood out, he genuinely takes the time to guide first-time customers and make them feel comfortable. Frank suggested what he considers the four must-try sandwiches for a first visit: the Italian, Tuna, Corned Beef & Pastrami, and the Philly Cheesesteak. I followed his recommendation and tried the tuna sandwich, which was outstanding, fresh, perfectly balanced, and generously prepared. I also took a Tuna sandwich to go for my wife after trying it and ordered the Italian to try later, which I'm already looking forward to. What impressed me most was not just the quality of the food but the overall experience. Frank's knowledge of his menu, his willingness to help customers decide, and his genuine pride in the deli create an atmosphere that keeps people coming back. If you love great sandwiches, top-notch service, and an owner who truly cares about the customer experience, I highly recommend Franky's Deli Warehouse to anyone. It's the kind of place that quickly becomes a favorite.

Great music and friendly staff. What we ordered- Croquetas 10/10 - Soft creamy inside and lightly crispy on the outside. Drizzled with a aioli style sauce. Juicy, tender and cooked full of so much flavor. The rice was perfect not sticky just perfectly fluffy and not oily and the beans are exactly what I always hope to be served at any Cuban restaurant. I came by their new location in Westland Mall today since I was shopping and I was hungry. However,…read morewith slow service and nickel and diming (18 percent automatic tip) and smallish portions I don't think I'll be back. Having had a quick workday lunch and walked around the mall, I had worked up an appetite. I was seated in a corner table for two and my order was taken. The restaurant did not seem that crowded even for a Friday night but it felt like a long wait. Unlike many Cuban places, they don't offer complimentary bread. I ordered their "platanos a tentacion" (bacon wrapped sweet plantains), grilled chicken and moros. The rice was a little hard and the chicken breast on the small side and barely seasoned other than the onions garnishing it. Service didn't feel very attentive for me as a solo diner. Between finishing my dinner and waiting to order either dessert or cafecito, I also sat and waited until a waitress finally came by. At that point, I just got the coffee and my check. I don't believe I was offered a printed receipt, just the card terminal. I asked if the tip was included and pretty much in time when I was putting the usual tip (trying to be generous with 20 percent) I was told that it was a service charge, and that the tip was extra, but had full amounts starting with 18%. So basically I paid 30% tip for a small portion of food and inattentive service. Looking back, I see that this restaurant had a different name and I had enjoyed dinner at their other location six years back. It's disappointing to see how it has fallen off. As it were, a lot of the original creative items on the menu are no longer being offered.

From a distance, it looks like a food truck, but it's actually a full setup designed to look that way. Even in the scorching heat, there was a line--but it moved quickly. Their menu has everything. Think of it as a Subway style setup, but with smoothies, tropical ingredients, and lots of fresh options. Now the main part...We ordered- Chicken Mix Baguette Tuna Baguette Am I the only one who found it just okay? At Subway, at least they toast the bread for a bit. Here, I genuinely struggled with the hard bread--it was tough to chew. Also, the meats were cold, which I'm not used to. I knew that beforehand, but still wanted to try this hyped spot. They have about 5-7 bar style stools for seating, but in the humidity, it's not the most comfortable experience.
