After reading the Yelp reviews, my daughter called and schedule 3 last minute pedicures at Trina Nail and Spa for one hour before they closed. Nervous about having to wait or being rushed, I was pleasantly surprised by a few things... 1) There were a lot of people there, which is always a good sign; 2) They seated us within 5 minutes; 3) We didn't feel rushed; and 4) The pedicures and shoulder massages were amazing! I do have to say the last couple times I went in to get my nails done and my toes it was the worse experience ever . I took another person with me and with the drill on four of her fingers they made her bleed while they were on the phone and then the pricing goes up and down every time like they just make up the pricing as they go there is no set pricing !!! read more

I had a regular pedicure and Tony was great. He was such a nice man, next was gel manicure. The woman had the personality of a door knob. I told her to please match my toe nail polish to my gel finger nail polish. She spoke great English and said yes. She started painting them a red orange color. I told her it was not the matching. She fibbed and said it would be fine. Needless to say I ended up with red orange TOO THICK fingernails. I know gels add on thickness but It was ridiculously over thick! Came here after having bad experience with Nails club at Augusta ranch. No complaints, they're very friendly and seem to know most customers by name. I went about 3 times and had good service. I did however plan to come with 2 of my friends on a Saturday and they ended up getting there first because I was busy moving all day so when I got there about an hour before closing and was told I couldn't be seen without an appointment because they had no time left. I started getting my nails done in junior high, and I've been to countless places trying to find the best place to get the job done. Trina Nail and Spa on Ellsworth is DEFINITELY that place. I have been going there consistently for about five years now, and you can't beat them for the service and the price. My best friend and I love to spend a weekend afternoon there, getting dolled up for the week ahead. Trina is the best at waxing services, I consistently return to her for my eyebrow waxes - she is the only one who shapes them perfectly! Acrylic nails are strong, yet not thick and bulky like many other local places do them. They also don't cheat you on the pedicures - the chairs are extremely comfortable, and the massages (including a hot towel wrap and hot stone massage) are extensive and extremely relaxing. When I'm traveling, I hold off on my nail services until I get home so that Trina and her team can take care of me. A couple of things to keep in mind - they are closed on Sundays, and cannot accept tips on credit cards. You may pay with your credit card, but all tips must be in cash. read more

The absolute best pedicure I have ever had. Ask for Tara. All pedicures at this salon come with a (COMPLIMENTARY) very lovely leg and foot massage, then a hot stone massage, then.... after your toes are painted, they give you a quick should massage! For $23, I will come here once a week! Tara is the best, although I read on other Yelp reviews that Tony gives a wonderful massage as well. I personally will only ask for Tara as she smiled happily the entire time she worked on me, and she gave the best massage I have ever had during any pedicure I have every had in my entire life! What a wonderful little place. Please make appointments though people. It is only courteous to do so. This place gets busy. I DID make an appointment, and 12 people came in to wait during my pedicure, and they did NOT rush me out of my chair! So amazing. I have been rushed before and had my treatment cut short at other salons when walk-in's come in, but not this place. If you have an appointment, you are smart, and will not be rushed when the other people come in. read more

This was my first time at Trina Nails. My old place went out of business and another place I tried was not up to par either, so I started looking on Yelp and found this place with such good reviews. First of all, it was very busy and there seemed to be a lot of regular customers who knew the owner and other workers by name. I got a pedicure and the lady gave an extensive leg/foot massage with her hands and also hot rocks. Then after the pedicure, while I was letting my nails dry, she did a neck and shoulder massage. Heavenly....I will be back. I wish they would wear name tags however. I would have asked for my nail tech again, but forgot to ask, although by the other reviews, everyone here does a great job. A respite from the world. I've never been so well treated in my life. All you need to do is try this place once and you'll be hooked. I don't think words will do the pedicure I received justice. I was shocked at the level of attention I received, my leg massage was AMAZING. They rubbed forever and ever, I'm not kidding it was 30 minutes long! And then she pulled out the hot stones and rub some more, then they did a hot towel wrap! I would come back just for the leg massage, they don't even need to paint my nails. As your polish dries, they run your neck and back. I am beyond in love. They're well staffed so you're not stuck waiting for 30 minutes even though you made an appointment which is huge for me. I too, am a teeny bit shocked at the numerous five star reviews. Is this the only nail salon in this area? I recently started weekly meetings in this area, and was hoping I could pop in here occasionally when I needed my nails done.... The salon had an incredibly strong, odorous smell upon entering and it lingered with me the entire 40 minutes of my gel manicure., I can't describe the smell, but I definitely think a good, hard vent scrubbing and air filter change are in order, along with freshening up the baseboards and paint. Trina's has been in business for 12 years, so they must be doing something right. The interior needs to be deep cleaned and possibly some of the equipment replaced. Everyone I spoke with was very nice and the two ladies I had actual contact with, were very pleasant to me. This salon is $5 less for a gel manicure than my usual location, but the atmosphere isn't worth the $5 savings. They had "sports bar" style TV's on the walls, catering mainly to pedicure guests, and all with no sound. Music was playing when I first arrived, but ended shortly thereafter and no one reset the cassette deck.. Insert crickets.... My gel manicure seems fine after 24 hours, so no complaints about that..... *****OH!!!! They charge 99cents to use a debit or credit card!! She didn't tell me that up front, and that's the (silly) thing that will keep me from returning... ****** So, I guess it was actually only $4 less than my usual place, which I now realize, I am spoiled by... read more

I am completely in love with this salon! My mother lives nearby, and every time that I am in town I must come here! I will seriously wait until I drive over from San Diego to come here! The employees are always so friendly. I have had my feet, hands and eyebrows done here and have never been disappointed. I have gone to this salon for several months, and had been happy. I went in a few weeks ago for a full set. Trina was doing it herself. When she cut down my nails she went way down and actually cut my skin under my nail and drew blood. SHE NEVER EVEN SAID SHE WAS SORRY! I understand that accidents happen, but the lack of caring toward a customer just really turned me off. Tracy and Serena are both great, but I don't plan to go back. Not a place I will return. I did just get a basic pedicure, and couldn't have got more basic. Basically trim and polish, which wouldn't have been so bad but even after he cleaned off the overage I still had polish shadow around the nails. I felt like they weren't wanting return business, with as quick as they finished with us (no one else there when we arrived). Becky was amazing! I am a Canadian Snow Bird and living in a new area of Mesa. Trina Nails and Spa is a 10 minute walk from the house we are renting so thought I would give them a try. The salon is clean and the staff is friendly. Everyone in there looked and sounded as though they were enjoying their treatment. Absolutely in heaven when my manicure comes with a neck and shoulder massage! By far, the nicest, most sanitary and luxurious pedicure I have ever received! I'm from Ohio and spend winters in Arizona, and I'm afraid I'll never be as pleased with another salon at home, as I was today at Trina Nail and Spa. I had a 'standard' pedicure with Le, who took almost an hour to trim, massage (hot rock massage!), lotion and pamper me from my knees to my toes. Le worked with a VERY gentle hand, yet did a very thorough job. I was especially pleased by their use of freshly sanitized tools removed from a sterilized package for each customer, along with tiny disposable files which were clearly for individual use. Oh, and then there's the short neck massage I got while I waited for my toes to dry! All for the whopping price of $23.00. Yes, 23, that's not a typo! Absolutely Incredible! read more

Not impressed. I made two appointments, one for me and one for my Mom. We were seated pretty quickly which is great. We both had dips on and had to sit while they soaked. No big deal. Well the nail tech who was working on my mom left. No word. No nothing. She returns almost 30 minutes later with Starbucks. My nails are bumpy and there are places void of color. Same with my moms nails. I felt like the tech was rushed. I wont be returning. read more

Everything is clean and in good repair and every single person is incredibly nice and accommodating. Along with the general pedi they do a hot stone massage and will then massage your shoulders!
