Probably one of the ONLY bingsu spots near Fremont. The bingsu is VERY good and i dont know if it is just because there are no other spots, but it is always crowded here! This can make the wait for the bingsu to come out over 30 minutes. I usually dont mind, but i have seen other customers get very frustrated with the long wait time. Hubby and I stopped by after dinner today (Wednesday) around 8pm. Most tables were filled except just 2-3 smaller ones. We ordered a regular-sized mango snow and extra condensed milk. On its own, the shaved ice is bland, but once you mix it with the condensed milk and strawberries, it comes together well. My folks and I came here on a whim after lunch nearby. We stopped in on a Sunday around 2 PM, and the place was completely packed. Luckily, we managed to grab a couple of tables and a spare stool for our group of six. The shop was a bit uncomfortably warm given the hot weather, which made it hard to sit and relax for long. We shared two regular-sized bingsoo--the strawberry and the mango. The strawberry was decent and balanced, though I wished it had come with more mochi pieces and fresh fruit underneath the shaved ice. The mango bingsoo, on the other hand, was much better and more enjoyable. I also ordered a jasmine milk tea (0% sugar) for my mom, but unfortunately it didn't have much of a tea flavor. As I was placing my order, the staff as calling out an order number 6 numbers in front of my order. When I mentioned I had been waiting for over 30 minutes, the guy went to the back and immediately came out with my order so it had been sitting around? My friend noticed it looked like a smaller (deflated?) portion size than the tables next to us. The bingsoo itself was good. Pillowy soft, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. That being said, given the bad experience with the service, it'd take a lot for me to want to come back here. The kiosk asks for tip at the end and given the nonexistent service, I would recommend skipping the tip. It looks like MandRo recently rebranded to Snow Bowl, but everything other than the name is the same. Same management, same menu, same quality. Very consistent. I've been a regular for almost a decade, and I've literally tried 90% of the drink menu. Everything is good! Standouts are the popular mango sago and any of the basic milk teas. My personal favorite is the brown rice milk tea which has a nutty unique flavor that's so hard to find at boba spots so I get it almost every time I visit. As far as the bingsoos, the most popular flavors by far are strawberry and mango, and for good reason. Between the two my favorite is the strawberry bingsoo. It tastes like strawberries and cream and is served with chewy delicious mochi which you can order more of for an extra charge. The main con is that it's incredibly busy even during week nights sometimes and when it is, it takes a long time for orders to come out. There's almost never seating and you're usually waiting for a table along with several other groups. I'm not penalizing for this because it's a small place and it's not really feasible to add more seating than what they already have. Turnover is slow because people sit and chat. I'm a patient person and I'm not fazed by waiting of any kind, not even sitting in hours of bay area traffic, so I don't mind! That said I'm a minority based on my experience. Hate that I mention this in every review but it's very pertinent, I've worked so many food jobs and I see the way people react to having to wait especially when they are hungry -- including some of the times that I've been here and have witnessed people yelling at the employees... If you're impatient, do not come here to order a bingsoo on a Friday/weekend unless you're willing to wait potentially half an hour for it to come out AND you're willing to work around the minimal seating options. Thirty minutes passed without our number called and that's when we asked the lady at the front (which I assume is the manager or owner) to check on the status.
