But what ever this store is doing keep it up. Every thing looks so nice and organized. The total store looked very nice. This is how they all should look. Other stores in the area need to try to copy this store. Each store we go to has very friendly and helpful employees. But this store in looks is very good! Need more non-dairy frozen treats. Great prices and good but the food sometimes it's close to the expiration dates. But not always. Great deals if you're shopping on a budget.

My first time at this location was for my Monday haul on 2/24 that went epic at the Bidwell location. I found all of what I needed and some tasty gems and surprises. The store was out of produce bags but I did not let that stop me from having a good time. Staff was kind and courteous and was a cool shopping experience. I primarily frequent the Bradshaw location but when in Folsom this will be my outlet jam. As each one is independently owned it's always good to judge it from that angle. Jeff's Elite TIP: Grocery outlet is not as bad as most think you just got to hit it at the right timing, early Monday AM, weekday AM or 4PM. Happy treasure hunting! read more

My number one market for me. I am here practically everyday and love seeing the same cashiers who remember my face and share small chit chat. I love to get wine recommendations from the manager. When I was injured and on crutches one of the cashiers ran to get me an item I forgot so I didn't have to go back for it. This is your friendly neighborhood grocery store. What I love about this store is that not only can you find items you won't find anywhere else, but the deals are unmatched!! For example their Aussie Bites are just $7 for a 16 pk, on Amazon I paid over $16! Great deal that boosts my milk production, I snagged 2 bags!! Grocery Outlet is located in the spot that used to be 24 Hour Fitness, and if you breathe in deeply enough, you can actually still smell the sweat. This store has its ups and downs. Does it smell good? No, absolutely not. But can you get a good deal? Sure, if you know what you're doing. The main items I come here for are alcohol, pet supplies (when I had cats), and frozen foods. Alcohol prices are usually about the same as Total Wine, or in some cases, even cheaper. When they have Blue Buffalo pet food, it's significantly cheaper than it is at Target. Pints of Ben and Jerry's for $2, huge bags of frozen fruits for $5, and Lean Cuisine pizzas for $2 have been some of my recent finds in the freezer aisles. They also tend to carry a surprising amount of discontinued vegan items. Whenever a favorite food of mine is discontinued at the larger chain grocery stores, I like to check Grocery Outlet a week or two later to see if it shows up here. Depending how perishable it is, of course. The employees are friendly and even seem to get along with each other pretty well. Their gardening section is also worth checking out, especially this time of year. They have cheap doorway mosquito nets for $5, string lights, pottery, gnomes, and sometimes even cute fairy garden sets. What I would not recommend buying here, if you can help it, are the dairy, bread, or deli items, although these can be hit or miss. Two things I've had really bad experiences with and would never buy again are the kefir and the frozen pierogies. This can be a good place to get a good deal as long as you're careful about what you buy, and make sure to check the dates on everything. read more

Grocery Outlet in general is kind of hit-or-miss on their products, but this one has nice employees and is pretty organized and tidy. Selection varies a lot, so it's always a wild card what you may find. I've gotten lump crab meat (which was an awesome steal for $12.99 compared to around $30 at Whole Foods), grass fed ground beef, Amy's frozen dinners, Annie's snacks for the kids, Blue Buffalo dog food, and other premium random finds. Definitely don't shop here if you have specific items in mind (for example, they didn't have ricotta cheese or lasagna sheets today), but that being said, it's still worth checking out. I do usually pass on the produce, because it's not as fresh and crisp looking as it could be. Keep an open mind and give it a try! read more

While the selection is a little less varied that other grocery stores ... they may not have 20 brands of every item, they do have a solid selection across a vast number of products. I needed to buy some dog food for my Pomeranian and everywhere I looked here in California it was super expensive so when I found that this store carried the Bella brand dog wet trays I was ecstatic and especially because the price for each tray was super cheap. So I would go to the store in Novato all the time! Moved to Folsom few years ago, and I have been going to this store at least 2 times a week... soooo... I went today to get some groceries... I am not a 100% white... mixed race... sooo, today I drove to the store to pickup some groceries.... As I started rolling my cart inside, this new (for this store) employee, (never seen her at this store before) a blonde lady, short hair... told me immediately!!! "You need to put your back pack under the REGISTER!!!" Whattttt?!?! Are you kidding me?!? I needed to put my backpack, with my tennis racket inside, my laptop that was on MY BACK, on the floor?!? Inside her little "cube"???? Noooo way!!!!! I kindly told her that I would put my backpack inside my car and this is what I did... a little scared but I did... I preferred to take the chance and hide my backpack inside my car then leaving it inside the floor for someone to came in asking for a bag, backpack and getting MY backpack!!! Are you kidding me?!? This is racist, 100%!!!! And now!!???? Just tell me!!!??? Is Grocery Outlet asking "everyone" that have a backpack, a large purse or anything else to leave their personal belongings at their registers?!? All the old ladies, old men!?! I recently went to grocery outlet to get a few things. I forgot a cart so here I am carrying a whole bunch of stuff in my arms, everything fell to the ground and I want to find the nearest cart. I didn't know someone was using it because no one was around, the girl who works there said with a snarky tone, "Uh i'm actually using that. But I guess I'll just go get another one." Sometimes I have to go to a regular store to find a particular item, but they sell most of what I am looking for. I've been shopping at GO for many years and it continues to be one of my favorite grocery stores in town. The staff ROCKS! This morning I raced into the store to do some quick shopping before I headed to work. Paula and Marianne were so friendly, helpful and patient with me. I left my wallet in the car and they had to wait for me to return. I can't imagine another store being so patient and kind about such a mistake. The quality and prices are amazing too! Okay I have no idea why this place has 3 stars and so many bad reviews? People are talking about a bad manager but I don't think I have ever dealt with a grocery store manager in my entire life of weekly grocery shopping trips... sounds like a personal problem tbh. If you love a good deal.. ya gotta come here. So. Many. Deals. Also did I mention it's a nice size and was not crowded at all?? I'd say it's maybe twice the size of Trader Joe's aka the perfect size to not get overwhelmed (if you're like me and hate big crowded places... hi Costco and winco.) The produce department has greatly improved and the checkout people seem to have it together except for the lady who has to check everyone's ids for wine purchases and calls out their birthdays. This Grocery Outlet is huge and pretty amazing! My hubby and I were around the area and decided to pop in and see what we could find here! My hubby found a huge bag of something for our lawn (don't ask, I am not into landscape) but he said it was $12 when it was regularly DOUBLE at the Home Depot! I loved that there was a natural / organic section towards the front when you walk in! Cool granola, crackers, bars and beauty products that at organic or gluten free at discounted prices! You will even find quality brands like Annie's, Barbara's, alba and others. Towards the right side of the store you will find all your vitamins, hygiene, cosmetic products. Worth a look if you have time! Also filled with name brand items such as Aveeno, Revlon, Almay, Johnson and Johnson and more. The dairy and cheese section is pretty packed! Lots of Greek yogurt for CHEAP! Their fruit and veggies section in the back is also pretty wide ranging. Blueberries, apples, pineapple, bananas, salads, you name it. Decent prices too! Overall, really happy with the assortment of items we got! We walked out with coconut water, organic animal crackers, organic gourmet chocolate, Nutella, huge bag of apples, organic muesli and more for about $15! You better believe I will be back! Lots of selection & great prices throughout the store! I bought about a weeks worth of groceries (well, maybe about half a week, considering how much I eat :-) ), and it only came out to $35! When I got home, I opened the trunk & realized that the milk I purchased had a hole in it, and it got all over my trunk (picture attached). I called the store back, and asked if I could exchange it for a new one. They gladly said to come back & grab a new one. When I got to the store, the same sweet girl was working the register, and she even offered to get some paper towels / help clean it up out of my trunk. So disappointing with the new owners jacking prices up and posting signs with incorrect info that the product costs 2-3x more at other stores. I purchased the 2lb bag of shrimp for my ex last week for $9.99. She went again yesterday and bought it again for $9.99. Today we went together and it rings up at $13.99! She tells the checker while I'm looking for the price sign. What do you know! The owner really changed the price from $9.99 to $13.99 overnight! Now I know why my ex complains about this store and drives all the way to the Citrus Heights & Roseville stores. This owner thinks he can make us feel we are getting a deal by posting incorrect "other stores sell it for" signs under the items; just do a search on the product you want and 99% of the time the price elsewhere is many dollars less than his price. The fact he upped the price of cooked shrimp by 40% overnight is appalling and I won't be shopping here again. I'm sure my ex will since it's close but I will no longer complain when she drives our children to the other stores out of the area. read more

I shop here quite a bit because I work in the area. It's a big shop with great selection if cheese and wine. Nice selection of produce. It's a big, well stocked store. My issue is with the store management. I've had this issue twice where an item is labeled incorrectly and they do not honor the price it's marked (unless it's the exact item description and SIZE). Not only have they never honored a mistagged items price, they have flat out refused to even have made to the honest mistake of not tagging an item and/or leaving an incorrect item tag on the shelf. When I finally decided to speak to a store manager, she completely gaslit me. She refused to say they had made a mistake and instead repeated "how was that a mistake?" and telling me I was the one who made the mistake as though I had tagged it wrong or stocked the item. (I looked at the tags, it was for a different item of the same brand.) I admitted that I misread it and pointed out why I did so, but she refused to acknowledge that it was an honest mistake. It was a long, humiliating exchange at the end of which she just kept saying "I'm done with you. I'm not talking to you any more" meanwhile continuing to insist they didn't make a mistake while I walked to the door. She did point out that Target reacts the same way to incorrect tags (they don't) and that she'd "been in this business for a long time". I've honestly never been treated so poorly at this or any other Grocery Outlet store. I've honestly never been more gas lit by a woman before. Everything about this was embarrassing and I was made to feel like a scammer and that I was crazy for even asking for an adjustment. I'm disappointed as I generally love shopping here, but if there is anything I can't stand it's refusing to admit when you're wrong. read more

I went in here really quickly Wednesday night to grab some essentials-unfortunately I dropped a can of glass jalapeños -I was so embarrassed. Luckily, both Jordan (young male with dark hair) and heidi (older woman with grey short hair) were so nice to me about the incident. Not only is this grocery outlet well stocked and clean, but the staff is always so kind and go out of the way to make the MOST embarrassing situations not feel that bad even when they are 15 mins away from closing. 10/10 ! they even laughed an said the jalapeño smelt good! I stopped shopping at Walmart for this one very reason....animals in the store! A store that carries groceries! Today I went in for groceries at the Grocery Outlet in Folsom on Bidwell Street but it will be the last time..... It was quite evident that they only value customers that like to bring their large horse-like dogs with them when they shop. As I was being checked out with my groceries, a customer came in with a huge dog. The checker stopped working on my order and went over to PET THE DOG....OMG and now she would be touching my groceries. What if I was allergic to dogs? What if I was afraid of dogs? Never you mind, that dog came first! When I said something about only service dogs being able to be in grocery stores, the owner (I believe he is the owner, a heavy set man) told me if they ask if they are service dogs, no matter what answer they give, they are allowed to stay in the store. This man shuffled me away with a swipe of his hand like....get out of here! Hello....why do people have to take their dogs EVERYWHERE????? I like dogs.....NOT in grocery stores! People, use the thing between your ears....your BRAIN.... Needless to say, the Sacramento County Health Department will be making that store a visit, unlike me.....In case people do not know it....DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN GROCERY STORES UNLESS THEY ARE A SERVICE DOG....NOT A FAMILY PET! I have not been to any other grocery outlets, but I think they all run in a similar way. It seems like they find discontinued or overstocked inventory, and get it cheap, and sell it cheap. Some of the deals I get here are crazy, its always worth looking to see what they have. They will not always have the same things in stock, so when you find something you like, stock up. This is not the place I go when I am not shopping for something specific. Go here before you do your general shopping. The employees seem nice enough, the place doesn't seem dirty or run down to me. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the music. I guess some people like it, but not my taste. read more

Where do I start? this happened on June 20, 2009. Well, for a first review ever on YELP I hate to be negative, but after experiencing what I experienced, I have to be truthful. To start, the prices are good: the water is cheap, coffee prices are great, even the wine prices are good, but the wine sucks really bad. Upon recommendation on of the owner (she said she was the owner), on June 18 I bought a case of the Elvis brand wine. It was so nasty to drink I tried cooking with it but the taste made the pasta sauce so bad, I had to toss even that out. The bottles are pretty so I still have one on display but won't let anyone open it. I haven't decided what to do with the other bottles as of yet. I purchased some sandwich meat and the date was still ok, but the next day when I opened the meat to make a meal, the ham was gray in spots. Not healthy! Then the Wisconsin brand grated cheese I bought was still good according to the date but once opened that day, there was signs of it going bad. Again, not healthy! A couple of days later when I was in the neighborhood, I bought these things back (the ham and the grated cheese) and asked for a refund. The woman who helped me tried to insinuate I was lying or at the very least she said this: "Well, if it wasn't any good why didn't you bring it back the day you purchased it." I explained I opened the ham the next day and the cheese that very day of purchase but that I only would be in the neighborhood today (the day I brought the stuff back). She said "Uh huh, and now you want your money back. It sounds a little suspicious to me." I asked to the see the owner and she got all apologetic, and she said they weren't there. I called for the owner the next day and was told by the person who answered, they weren't there. Anyway, my recommendation is if you want something cheap, try Winco or SaveMart where the food WILL be fresh when the date is still good and the hired help won't try to suggest you are angling for a few bucks back. I left without my money. I'm writing this review because no one needs to go through this. I shop at Grocery OUtlet in Rancho all the time and was excited to discover one in Folsom where I live. I'll return to Rancho. The store in folsom isn't worth the hassle. I can tell you more if you want more. After being treated the way I was, I won't go back and I"ve emailed everyone I know in folsom to not go there. I never got a return call from the owner... I doubt if the help even left the message. If you need something to take rust off of old pipes,I have some bottles of terrible wine left for you. read more
