Tringali's Auto Service is the best auto shop I've ever visited by far. Like so good, I'm tempted to gatekeep. Not only do they always fit us in, they are quick, thorough, reasonably priced, and best of all they don't speak down to me as a woman who clearly knows zip about cars! Matt is super helpful in explaining exactly what's going on to help me make informed decisions about my 17 year old Scion! Matt Bona is the owner of Tringali's and quite possibly the most dishonest and shady character I have ever encountered. Matt was supposed to be working on my deceased father's corvette, he had it for over a week and I had not heard anything from him. I called Matt asking for an update and Matt told me that he hadn't gotten to the car yet but he did manage to DAMAGE IT. He never once called to let me know he damaged it, he was just waiting for me to call him I guess. He never sent me a photo of the damage or disclosed what actually happened. I had to call this man SEVERAL TIMES on several occasions and had to finally threaten him with an attorney before he fixed the damages and returned the car to me. He had the car for about a month. Never fixed the original issues that I took it in for. Do not take any vehicle here. This place is the worst. read more

I decided to give Tringali's a try for something simple and cheap because: a) they're literally two doors down Hertel from me; and b) this industry has a serious image problem due to a lot of exploitative players in the market. If I'm going to be overcharged, I'd rather it be over something small, and then I'll just never go back to that place. So I walked in on a Friday and asked if they could get me in to remove my winter tire/wheel set and install the all-seasons. Guy at the desk (manager? owner?) was friendly and conversational, said they could do it then and have it done in an hour. I agreed and left the keys. He immediately pointed out that my inspection sticker was out of date, so I agreed to that as well. I get a call back once the wheels are off telling me that I need new brakes all around. I knew that and had already made an appointment elsewhere. Guy said they could do it there and then and quoted me a fair price. Two hours later, it's all done I walk over to pick up the car, the brakes work and are quiet, my tires are swapped and bagged, my TPMS light is turned off, my sticker is changed, and I don't have to drive around for another five days on noisy brakes while waiting for the competition to get me in. Finding reliable local shops like this means that I can avoid ever having to use sketchy chains like Munro, with whom I've mostly had headaches. Thanks, Tringali's, and I'll be back. read more

tringalis is one of the most dishonest auto service place i have ever been to . the owner lied to the insurance company claiming that they did work on the auto that they clearly didnt do. they will be named in the complaint to the AG lemon law unit . the good reviews you see on this site is mostly done by neighbors and friends, the owner lied to my face,i am a old disabled woman on SSD, thiey are not to be trusted. read more

I did not want to write a negative review for this company but I had to. First and foremost... The owner was nice, respectful, wore a mask, and practiced social distancing. But.... Some of the staff were not wearing masks when interacting with myself(disrespect and disregard for customer's space/wishes). Staff smoked cigarettes while working on my vehicle. This left a awful odor in my car(disrespect and disregard for customer's property).This was very shocking. I HAVE NEVER HAD A MECHANIC SMOKE CIGARETTES WHILE WORKING ON MY VEHICLE. Owner quoted me a price that was not fair/appropriate/quite frankly ripping me off compared to other automotive places I received quotes from for the service needed. Owner appeared disorganized and forgetful when interacting with me. No matter what your political and or personal views/believes are as a business you should always put customers first unless it is a situation where the business is dealing with a very difficult customer. This was no where near the case. I hope this treatment does not apply to only certain individuals as it should not apply to no one. read more

Extremely happy to find an auto shop I can actually trust!! After being blatantly lied to by a large dealer in Buffalo (Northtown) about the importance of always replacing the rotors with the brake pads (and how the cost does not change by choosing to opt out of the rotor replacements) I found myself at Tringalis. This understated shop is full of trustworthy staff who always go out of their way to explain everything. This is such a refreshing change from the culture I was used to of always needing to double check the information I was given, and knowing that a simple oil change was never just an oil change but an additional group of up-sells that my fairly new car "needed" to stay in good shape. Tringalis has always been straight forward and actually takes the time to educate me on what is "needed" versus "ideal". I never feel pressured to buy anything from them and I am not just an up-sell to them, but a client that they want to continue to come back and receive great service from (to the point that they throw in additional work that I ask about for free to ensure my satisfaction, loyalty, and retention). read more

I've been going to Tringali's for nearly 30 years. The shop is clean and tidy, which cannot be said of all garages! They show you the old parts and explain why a repair or replacement was needed. They give you ballpark estimates so you can decide in advance if you want the work done. During my many service calls, a couple of times they did a repair for free when they easily could have charged me quite a bit. When they can do so, they'll give you a quick lift to your destination, if you need to leave your car there. Maybe it's because I'm a longtime customer, but I sometimes leave my car there overnight and they have it ready for me early the next morning, ready to drive. Fast and reliable auto repair close to my office on Hertel Avenue. They have done a few jobs for me always been done on time and they communicate the process throughout. Of course - with any car shop people may complain as i see here about the prices but in reality cars break people fix them and they have to earn a living- still cheaper than the dealership!! I've been using Tringali's for about a year. I've always found Rick to be friendly and fairly straightforward--both are essential when mechanical issues need to be discussed. Without question, consistent vehicle maintenance is paramount and Tringali's is always prepped to let you know when you need to take of care of the "need to" areas. I'm kicking it down a star because a recent inspection/oil change yielded a $900 price tag, when a 3-month earlier visit that hit $350 made it seem that all was now good. I'm still holding to Tringali's because maybe it's 2/10 services below expectations, but whenever it's mechanical you're ever so vulnerable to trust the register you're filling. read more

The mechanics at Tringali's have been very helpful. I am from the Boston area, so I don't have many resources out in the Buffalo area. When my car was having trouble, they were quick to look at my car and fix it. Each time (it happened twice) I need to take my car to them, I called late one day and they were able to look at my car early the next day. Highly recommended. read more

Ok so the first time I went to tringalis is because a friend knew them. So I figured cause of that and the fact I knew his son and daughter and law he'd take care of me correctly. Cause honestly I have a couple mechanics I can go too but tringalis is right around the block from me. Terrible mistake. 1st time was on Feb 11 for a coolant and temperature issue with my Lincoln. So rick the owner tells me to drop the car off Thursday morning. Now fast forward to Friday afternoon and I still haven't heard from him so I call and he's goes on to tell me that he hasn't had a chance to look at the car then proceeds to tell me they don't work on the weekends so monday morning he"ll get to it. So I don't hear from him again on Monday , Tuesday finally comes around and he calls me to come get it I get there and it costs me 750$ . I was. Furious cause I knew someone woulda done the same job way cheaper. Ok so now fast forward 3 months to may 7th. The car overheats again and I bring it back cause I figure this guy already fixed it so he's gotta do it. Again drop it off Thursday morning . Friday afternoon. Comes around I call and flip out saying I can't be without my car for another 5 days . So this guy obviously starts working on it around 4ish I'd say. Calls me and tells me to come in (which I had to walk 1 mile to get too) so I get there he tells me it's not ready yet to come back in an hour. Lol Ok rick I'll just go walk around for awhile. So now it's about 630 on friday and it's just me and him there. He finally gets it done we sit down and he keeps hitting the calculator and I'm thinking what the hell could this guy be charging me for if he already charged me 750$ for the same thing 2 months earlier. So after all is said and done this guy's hand me a bill for 430$ . I was furious . So 1100$ and 7 days total later he finally got the job done. Needless to say it was in my and his best interest that I got outta there cause I was ready to ring his neck. I filed a complaint with the BBB and will never speak well about this place again. And if the same thing happens to my car again I'm gonna have to go back in there and be his boss cause he's not treating me like shit and screwing me outta any more money. SCREW TRINGALIS read more
