Worst mechanic experience of all time. Went in knowing I needed brake job (pads+rotors) and a chemical smell coming from car. After a day of their "meticulous" and "thorough" systems tests, decided I had "about 1mm" of pad left and coolant was leaking through my water pump. Claimed I should just leave the car there to get all work done bc brakes were so bad, quoted me $2500+ worth of work. Do brakes myself, come to find almost 1/4" of pad left. ALSO, my coolant was leaking through head gasket and making the smell! Took a real mechanic 2 minutes to identify. NEVER GO HERE. These people prey on customers and offer unnecessary and blatantly incorrect repairs to pad their pockets. DO NOT BE FOOLED by nice service upfront and cute newsletters in the mail. The front stabilizer bar: right side broken, left side cracked. Not,an inspection issue, rather a safety issue. I really got in the weeds when I needed two "rare" emission system parts as the old ones had just plumb wore out (a 2002 accord platform) . so,,these spooky oxygen flow uptake sensors($350) had to be replaced. I went in to get a new tail light installed because my old one was out. After taking off the whole light, they told me that because I had a small crack in the covering that water was seeping into the light and shorting the wire and would need an entire new rear light. They said it would be around $500. I got a second opinion from a different shop and they were able to fix it for $20. I do not recommend based on their predatory practices. Also, when I went in the 10+ employees I saw were all maskless. Not a very comfortable environment. Take your business elsewhere read more

This is the most untrustworthy, rip off auto repair place I have ever been to. First of all they charged my sister over $400 for her car shutting off while in drive. They claimed they had run the car several hours,everyday for a week straight and had fixed the problem. Not even 24 hours later after retrieving the car, it did not start once again. After calling, they claim there is nothing they can do for her as they "couldn't figure out the real problem", yet could NOT refund her or even tow her caf back to the shop to get it fixed. When we asked if they could tow it, they said we have to fugure out how to get to the shop ourselves. They personally charged me $100 for an inspection, claiming to be because I had no oil in my car and I needed an oil change. Yet, 2 weeks later I had no oil in my tank WITHOUT any tank leaks. THIS PLACE IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY !!!! read more

I had been going to In Collision for so many years now I don't even remember how long it has been. After my family mechanic retired I went through a series of shops and everyone of them left me longing for the old family mechanic. After my first experience with these guys, I knew I would never go anywhere else. I am always amazed at the level of service and professionalism that is demonstrated by this shop and everyone that works here. They have never let me down on a repair and have even let me know when a repair was going to cost more that it was worth. I have referred my entire family to this shop and they have all been return customers. I recently bought a new vehicle and the only part of it that makes me sad is I will no longer need to use this shop. read more

For some reason, our house moved and pulled off the rear quarter panel and bumper of my 2006 Hundai Sonata as it was sitting quietly in the driveway. Damn house. They do that sort of thing! Anyways, even though my car is close to fourteen years old, it has an exceptionally good body and very low mileage. At least that is what Scott and I agreed upon when I brought the car to IN Collision two weeks ago on the Thursday before Father's Day. I chose IN Collision because it had good reviews and was close. In fact I mentioned this to Scott when we first met and he made it clear to me that he works very hard to keep that good rating. Luckily, wife and I were going to be out of town for the long weekend so I had no problem leaving my Sonata with Scott for the two days he needed. We agreed on a price and I left the car with him that Thursday morning. I didn't mind when we returned Monday that a snafu in the ordering process sent the wrong bumper. Apparently nobody realized my beautiful Sonata was a six cylinder model. The four cylinder bumper wouldn't fit. Scott told me it would take another couple days to get the right bumper. It would be ready Wednesday. Same two days. No problem. Things happen. Wednesday comes along and apparently there is an idiot at the parts supply house who sent the wrong bumper again. This bumper had only a single opening for the exhaust whereas my model has dual exhaust. I thought it was very considerate of Scot however, to insist that I not drive with the single exhaust as it might melt the bumper. That would be bad. Scott was very apologetic and offered to bring the car to my home when it was done. How nice, I thought. Very considerate. Anyways, we finally get the right bumper, it's installed but it is the July 4th weekend. We make arrangements for delivery on Wednesday. I was working in the office that week, so it was beginning to be a bit inconvenient to have my wife drive me in every day. No problem. She is retired and happy to do it. As we were driving home Tuesday night, I decided we should stop at the shop to get the car. We pass IN Collision on my way home from work every day, so thinking Wednesday being the delivery date, by Tuesday night it would probably be ready for pick up. Hmmm, not so. Car still need to be buffed out. OK, maybe there was a backlog of work. I finally got the car today, Thursday July 9, having missed the Wednesday delivery date for unknown reason. I have yet to look at the work but I am sure it is fine. My wife accepted delivery and paid with a check while I was at work. I was a bit miffed however, that the delivery person didn't know what to charge. My wife texted me asking me the price. Seems the same guy who orders the parts does the book keeping as well. Anyways, I'm very happy to be done with this. Hopefully my car will run for another fourteen years and our house will stay put. Those houses can be very tricky. read more

This shop is terrible I thought they were going to be professiona. I went to get my car to run and wires replaced not even a hour after leaving and only making it to one store my car immediately started smoking so bad I had to call the fire department so they could extinguish my engine. The firefighters told me I should sue. I went back to tell the shop what happened and ask for my money back and they refused so now I will be seeing them in court since I spent almost $1000 to get my vehicle repaired. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP IT IS NOT WORTH THE STRESS. And they just work on the vehicles before testing to see what's wrong they just start buying parts and working. Not to mention the parts were under $400 and they charged $500 for their terrible labor. Going here is not worth your life. read more

Being a fair and non biased person, I will kick this review off with the positives about in collision and then go into the negatives. Travis and his staff are very cordial in their shop, treat all customers with respect, and give fair prices for estimates. Now to the negatives. I flew up to Buffalo to drive my sister back down to Florida so she could be with family for Christmas. In collision provided her with the car on time. The body work looked excellent. Their body technicians really did a great job with all of the gaps in the panels and the paint matched perfectly. We began to drive the car towards Florida and started running into issues in Virginia, where we began to hear the left front suspension components creak. The sound grew much worse and when we reached Georgia I decided that we needed to stop and have the car inspected. We went to a shop, put it on the lift and I went over the repair work with the mechanic who was working. Both him and I were extremely shocked to find that not only did in collision use parts that were used, to include the carrier bearing on the front strut, but they used rusty parts that could not even pass a visual inspection. After further inspection of the suspension we found the subframe of the car to be warped, causing a deviation of 2.5 degrees in the camber of the front left tire. This caused the front left tire to wear extremely quickly on the outside putting it at great risk of catastrophic failure which would of ultimately resulted in a crash. This week we have been communicating with the insurance company who had been communicating with in collision. According to the insurance representative the representative of in collision was acting hostile, uncooperative, and unrepensive for the poor quality of work and potentially dangerous position that they put my sister in. When asked why they utilized used parts that were rusty and unserviceable the response was "this is Buffalo. All parts are rusty" having worked on cars for 14 years I can tell you that this is an extremely poor answer. Utilizing used ball joints that are taken out of a car by means of extreme force and utilizing them in another car is a truly juvenile practice. Even when I was in high school and had no money whatsoever I would cough up the 20 dollars and replace ba joints with new ones. The fact that they did not even check the serviceability of the front strut carrier bearing is simply inexcusable. I would recommend if you get into a crash and need your car fixed you drop it off at the nearest high school auto shop and let the students work on it before you put your life in these guys hands. Suspension work would be done with more integrity. read more

When we found out that Ilya was also doing general car care we took our car, which looks even better now than before our accident, for an inspection because our mechanic of 10+ yrs kept me waiting with my 16 mo old in his small filthy waiting room for almost TWO hrs to do a 15 minute inspection! As you all know it's extremely difficult to keep your toddler from getting into anything and its usually everything!!! So when our other car inspection came due we didn't think twice and I brought it to In Collision Inc, instead. I didn't feel bad for leaving our old mechanic because he wasn't treating us as priority customers anymore & with 2 small children that is a HUGEEE consideration. At Ilya's you get the ROYAL treatment! They listen to your needs, make you feel important and the customer service is AMAZINGGG! Travis, their super friendly office manager is the absolute BEST! He is very nice, patient, knowledgeable, thorough & good-looking too! I didn't wait more than a 1/2 hour at Ilya's and not only did they inspect the car they washed & detailed it too!!! Yup! Included in EVERY service visit! They also brought to my attention some serious issues that needed to be addressed which now with 2 small children we want taken care of immediately! Car repair is a tricky thing, and for the less mechanically-inclined individual, it's a nightmare finding a competent, straightforward, and honest garage. IN Collision & Auto Repair is just that. It's more of a doctor's office than a garage, and I mean that in a positive and sincere way. The waiting area is clean and organized (not something that concerns me particularly, but it may some people), and Dr. Travis has a wonderful lube rack-side manner. Travis is the service rep I talked with in more of a consultation rather than a hurried "Ya need this, this, this, and this. You're lookin' at a thousand bucks." He sat down with me for nearly half an hour to talk about a potential car purchase even though I was not a paying customer at the moment. I told him I was in the market for a car, wanted to run ideas by him, and get a feel for his shop. I left with a completely positive 'vibe' supported by the overwhelmingly positive reviews on this site and another reputable review site. Another positive characteristic of this shop is that they treat everyone with the same courtesy and professionalism, regardless of the fact that they are also a performance shop that performs work on higher end vehicles. As Dr. Travis mentioned, he does a lot of work for students and their budgetmobiles. We brought my car in for an oil change and to inspect a noise that has been getting progressively worse that our last mechanic kept saying was fine. My car hadn't been driving smoothly since before I was in a car accident in 2017 (almost totaled). It just hasn't felt safe to me since the accident even with full collision work from another place. I took my mother's Range Rover Evoque to this establishment because some lights were turning on. They took forever to get back to me, I had to call them multiple times to get some vague answers about what they thought was going on. They called me to tell me that they needed to change two batteries and test a lot more things to know what the issue was and that it would be $4,000 - I quote 'to start'. We are two single women who do not know a lot about car reparation but we thought something was off, we asked a few people that told us it did not sound right. I took the car out as soon as I could and brought it a Range Rover, they called me within an hour and told me it was just a few debris behind a sensor; they charged me under $200. This place is a rip off, they take advantage of people who do not want to pay dealership prices and lie about repairs. The cars wait in the back for weeks and they pretend to work on them and charge for labor. Do not take your vehicle there. read more
