    Pure dotishness... NEVER AGAIN

Waste of my money I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Don't give these people your money. I ordered on Uber eats and they had NO options for toppings to add to the bake/shark. So I assumed it would be the standard bake and shark with cucumbers, garlic sauce and so on. These halfwits sent me a dry ass sandwich with absolutely nothing on it. Then I called them to ask about it and they hang up the phone. To top it off i had a side order of spinach and they didn't even give me any spinach.

SERVICE IS SO SLOWWWWWWW. I literally spent about 40 minutes waiting for doubles. 30 of those 40 minutes was waiting on the staff to dish out portions. After all of that, the doubles are okay. Also, If I ask for a knife and fork please don't ask me why I need one......

This use to be my favorite restaurant for doubles but unfortunately when my boyfriend bit into his pholorie he bit on a penny that was literally baked in the pholourie as a filling he almost choked to death and broke his tooth I am extremely upset and disgusted When the food was brought back they stated they know a certain employee is doing this which is simply irresponsible and disgusting! so now I'm thinking this same employee is probably spitting and putting other body fluids in the food at this restaurant how disgusting and dirty is that also the roti had a sour smell I can't believe this happen I am extremely outraged !!

It looks like it taste good or like something, right?? Hahahahahahahaha a whole sham....cause it's tasteless

I was just in this place like an hour ago. Because I was in the area, saw it and wanted some roti. Usually I do my research but I just decided to give them a try without looking them up....man do I regret that. Anyway, first off they weren't welcoming but like what west Indian restaurant is?. I wanted boneless chicken, they didn't have it. So opted for the curry chicken roti. I was a lil annoyed cause the lady only gave me like 3 pieces of chicken but I let it go. Then I asked for pepper sauce and the other lady that's bagging it told me "you have to ask her" the lady that made the food...well she done walked away now and you right there you tell her ...w/o me saying anything she requested the pepper for me. I paid $8.70 and left. I get home on the other side of Brooklyn, tryna get me some bites in before I go pick up my daughter. I taste the roti and it's doughy . I open it up and taste the potatoes before putting pepper in it...potato have no flavor....I taste the chicken...of course chicken has no flavor...then I looked closely and pulled out a hair that was the length of my pinky..... I am sooooooo angry right now. If I could walk there I would and demand my money back. How y'all serving this nasty, tasteless a$$ food?? No type of love put into it...I swear I thought it was diet food. Anyway....I have to now season it up and i don't know what imma do with the roti dough...I don't know how to make it not "doughy" tasting ....never again..if I could give negative stars I would. I just wanted to let y'all know. Before y'all make the mistake I did. You live and you learn .

Order the Trini Style Chinese chicken and fried rice. You'll understand why this place is a hidden gem.

Starting with the food, service, most courteous and helpful staff, a super clean restaurant down to the bathrooms. We came her to celebrate a birthday and as always I cannot say enough great things about the restaurant. Other restaurants need to visit Atithi and take a page out of their book. We started with naan bread and the Atithi special platter. We had the Tandoori Haryali Shrimp and Chicken Tiki and Garlic naan bread as well. For entrees we had the Chicken Korma, Shrimp Curry and Tandoori Chicken. You can order these dishes, mild, spicy and very spicy. They always have plenty of water on hand and they are making sure your glasses are full. They have take out as well. Don't miss out. I highly recommend you try them.

The interior is colorful and immersive - as if you're transported away from Brooklyn. Food comes out piping hot and super tasty. Although we ordered mild for everything (mainly due to having a two year old), there were definitely hints of heat, which honestly was fantastic for me - I can only imagine what spicy would be. It was my mil's first time trying Indian food in this way and she enjoyed it all.

The vegetables, lentils, and rice were balanced and comforting, and it really tasted homemade in the best way. The summer salad was also lovely, and the pani puri was decent. Service was warm, and the atmosphere was relaxed, with nice outdoor seating in the back. Just note that you pay at the counter when you order. Great lunch spot overall, and I hope to return for dinner.

We had dinner for two here last night and overall had a solid experience, with a few things that…read morecould be improved. We chose bar seating, which ended up being a bit of a tight squeeze facing the wall; not the most comfortable setup, but manageable for a short meal. To start, we had the pani puri, followed by the samosa chaat. The flavors were good, but the samosa chaat was a bit of a letdown. It wasn't served hot, and the samosa itself was soggy rather than crisp. That contrast in texture is really what makes the dish shine, so it felt like it may have sat a bit too long or was over-sauced. We also tried the vegetable pav, which was decent, and the cod, which was actually very good; nicely cooked with a flavorful sauce. I did find myself wishing we had an extra roti to soak up the rest. For drinks, I had the mango lassi, which I appreciated for not being overly sweet. Service was okay but could be more attentive. My water wasn't refilled after a couple of rounds, and we felt a bit rushed toward the end of the meal. We were given the check without being asked about dessert, which caught us off guard. We did ask afterward, but by then decided to go elsewhere. That said, the food overall is flavorful, and I can see why this place has appeal; especially if you're looking for something a little different in the neighborhood. Having met the owner before in Industry City, it's great to see her doing well in Carroll Gardens, and I wish the restaurant continued success.

Spoiler, we never made it to any of the other locations because we were so full. Jalsa provide fare from all over India and makes paneer in house. They have plenty of seating and can take care of large catering parties. As is customary, they have a Sunday lunch buffet. We came on a rainy Saturday afternoons and there weren't many patrons dining. We went with the masala chai, mango lassi, lamb kati roll, and a ghee masala dosa with gun powder, upon recommendation. -The masala chai was perfectly blended, with sugar on the side to sweeten to one's liking. -The mango lassi was really good, but a bit thicker than I'd like; good tartness. -Lamb kati roll was really good, larger than expected. The flavours were well balanced and the paratha had a good flake to it. There was A LOT of lamb inside. -The ghee masala dosa was the shining star; it must have been 2.5, if not 3 feet long. The edges were super crispy like a chip, and the masala potato pilling was delicious If I could do it all over again, I'd only eat here and not eat ahead of time, since this was enough food to fill a party of two (maybe add in a samosa or two). I'll definitely be coming back to try more fare.
