Ask the Community - Trini Plate

Where can I find Trini Plate? Is it just certain days of the week? I used to live in Diego Martin, TT and I would love some Trini food.

Hey Josh, you can find me most Saturdays at Proctor Farmers Market in North Tacoma. Follow me on Instagram or Facebook. I usually post my schedule and menu there. Always happy to meet more Trinis out here! 🥲🥰

What a nice little Mexican restaurant that is hidden in this little corner of Tacoma. Not often you…read morefind a place that has great beer and great coffee and great Mexican food. That is three greats, I know I just said that. But this little hole in the wall place provided great atmosphere cozy area to be able talk very easily to my sister and experience an amazing lunch. You do order at the cashier/order taker and then they give you a number and when your food comes out, you get the food delivered to the table with the number. When you are done, you have to buss your own table and do all that stuff besides wiping off your table. I thought the environment was awesome and I would highly recommend again and again to anybody that wants to come great place. And they do put the taco in Tacoma.

To think I almost settled for some premade coffee shop microwaved brk burrito I got the carne asada BK Burrito... with the habanero carrot hot sauce Pure heaven. The meat is tender and ZERO gristle which is almost impossible lately anywhere u go. Then I indulged and got churros. Nor disappointed but pleasantly surprised- not greasy or dry but so so perfect. Also combined their homemade agua Fresca w ice tea and it was DELICIOUS I'll be back here soon for a date w my hubby. He'll love it! (Great customer service too!!!!)

Not sure if this stand is still in business at the moment at the Waterfront Market at Ruston since…read moreit's not currently listed in the directory, but will say that they made a decent couple scoops of gelato when I tried them last summer. Had the cookies and cream and tiramisu and they were creamy and tasted fittingly to their names. The former had chunks and crumbles of chocolate sandwich cookies and the latter imparted a pleasant coffee liqueur flavor. Their products include mainly gelato in about 18 flavors, including popular ones like mint chip, chocolate, sea salt caramel, creme brûlée, and raspberry sorbetto. The bourbon apple pie and maple pecan caught my eye and would be flavors I'd like to try next time if they're around. They also carried about a dozen flavors of fudge in some creative flavors like caramel macchiato, cotton candy, black cherry bourbon, and dark espresso. Rounding out the assortment was about a dozen different flavors of chocolate truffles, plus a selection of other chocolates. There was one staff member manning the stand, she was friendly though our interaction was brief. The stand itself was neat, organized and clean, the printed sign hung on the back wall of the stand made me think this was a relatively new business trying to get its feet off the ground. There's seating at tables in a shared open area used by multiple stands/restaurants. Bathrooms are shared with the market facilities and parking is located directly in front of the market.
