Chicken PAD THAI and spring rolls

I ordered chicken pad Thai and spring rolls. Total was $26.37! Little pricey... but tastes great!!

The pad kee mao was yummy! The perfect balance of all the flavors. Their fresh rolls were good, except it had different ingredients than what I'm used to. It didn't have any rice noodles and more lettuce and then chicken in the middle. Also, it was almost $11 for 2 rolls!!! $$$$$$$$ My first thought was, this is so tiny. But to be fair, it's a little thicker. LOVED the peanut sauce. FYI, They don't do dine-in anymore. I guess they just kept it like that since the pandemic.

While my husband is gone for work I get to indulge in food that he doesn't love so guess what?! I had Thai twice in one week, it's really some of my favorite food and my friend was telling me recently how she loves Peanut Sauce Thai Cuisine so I had to check it out. Since we're still in phase 1 during Covid they are open but only for takeout which is ok. Ordering was easy and they had it ready within 20 minutes. We ordered pad see ew with tofu 3 stars, veggies with chicken in peanut sauce ( I forgot the name), fried spring rolls, and avocado curry with tofu, which I was so excited to finally find and be able to try. The food was pretty good though I will say I wish the pad see ew was a little more saucy but the flavor was good and kudos to the chef because the spice level was on point, there's truly nothing worse then ordering Thai food and the spice is anything but spicy when that's what you ask for. Also, about this avocado curry, one of my best friends raved about one she used to have in college so it became a semi life mission to get my hands on some. I really liked it and I'm happy I finally found some avocado curry, it is a milder taste though but it's avocado so it's to be expected. Ordering was a breeze and the order was accurate. Everything tasted fresh and I'd gladly come back here.

Got take out and we did a taste test. Peanut Sauce on the Left and Chili Thai UP on right. Beef pad se ew, green curry, fresh rolls.

Taste Test between our favorite Thai place (Chili Thai) vs. our friend's favorite (this restaurant). We ordered the same dishes Pad Se Ew Noodles, Chicken Green Curry and Fresh Spring Rolls. I was skeptical as to whether there was a better Thai restaurant than Chili Thai in U.P. and I have to admit that Peanut Sauce delivered. Pad Se Ew: This was a little more heavy on soy sauce and the beef was a bit over cooked. The winner is Chili Thai because it was cooked perfectly and they had more vegetables. Chicken Green Curry: Chili Thai again had more vegetables but the I preferred the curry sauce of this place. Super tasty and creamy. Can't wait to have the leftovers! Winner is Peanut Sauce. Fresh Spring Rolls: Clearly the Peanut Sauce Rolls were larger. Pretty much the same ingredients but the winner is Peanut Sauce mainly because their Peanut Sauce is served warm and it had better consistency and flavor. I could just eat that over rice! If you name your restaurant Peanut Sauce you kind of have to live up to the name and they do! I'm still a fan of Chili Thai because it's in our neighborhood but I would order take out from here again. It's good to know that there are actually good Thai restaurants in Tacoma. Don't settle for the "Americanized" versions!

This was a positive experience. The staff was friendly and ensured we were checked in frequently . The menu was or long but mostly because they had a menu just for vegetarians. The wait was odd reasonable considering the amount of food we ordered. I'd highly recommend the avocado spring rolls, won ton soup, and Peanut sauce on the side. The peanut sauce was great just on some rice. The duck was pretty good. I like duck but sometimes I just wish it wasn't swimming in so much other stuff. Don't get me wrong, it was good. I just think someone's ask if the other pens mark the actual great flavor of duck. Fried rice was not bad. It could have used a bit more flavor but I did enjoy the pineapple in it. Won ton soup was delicious. I was a little disappointed that I had to share The crispy duck we have mixed opinion. It seemed that either they liked it or hated it and had an even split. Personally, I couldn't stand the taste. That being said, it's a very common taste that I'm finding in Asian food and it's really something I'm not a fan of. Btw- that Thai Iced Tea was very good. I like how it was served especially with the whip cream. Overall, the service was good and Food wasn't bad. Would I come here again? It's not in the top of my list, but I'd be willing to come back and try a few other dishes.

Ordered food for take out & everything was phenomenal. I got the spring rolls, which has 2 shrimp on the outter part & the peanut dipping sauce was thick, creamy & flavorful! Also ordered the crab rangoon, which was nice & big, had good crunch. For my main dish I ordered the Pad Mama @ a level 4 spicy. Level 4 is SPICY! Id say the spiciness was on par with what a 4 should be but if you dont like spicy, stick to a low #

Red curry also without vegetables and mostly just curry sauce.

I'm really astonished with the poor quality food I reviewed Ed for a takeout order this evening. I usually get takeout here atleast once every two weeks, but today the dishes we received included NONE of the vegetables that it was supposed to. We preferred Basil Fried Rice with Tofu and Red Curry with Tofu- the curry was just a few bamboo shoots and 3 pieces of tofu and the fried rice was essentially soft white rice with carrots and tofu. I called the restaurant and they took a long time to find my order, speak with cooks and then eventually offer to remake the food but she seemed so uneasy about it, that I felt uncomfortable and said to forget it - unfortunately I won't be visiting peanut sauce again.

We were the only people in the dining room for lunch the entire time until our last 10 mins. This restaurant is inside a casino in Fife. Parking is interesting, and the casino itself is in the middle of a reno so it looks a bit messy but otherwise it is fine. Kudos to them for trying to make the outside section nice because the view kind of kills it. Pros - it's a very nicely designed space. The hostess and our waitress were so nice and welcoming, even giving me a stool for my bag (and it wasn't even my fanciest bag lol!) Overall, the restaurant is nice, the food seems to be mostly fresh and good quality and service was nice. I actually quite enjoyed my ribeye, despite our broccolinni having no almonds, as stated on the menu. My affogato was good, and the cake frosting and flavors were good. Cons - I say these with love...but we both feel the kitchen was not up to par, or the main chef was off, or something happened because there were quite a few mishaps during our visit. The appetizers were good, but the scallops needed salt and I would not pair them with pineapple, personally. The calamari weren't the most tender, and the breading was interesting - it's definitely not your typical breading, it suited a fish and chips dish better. The sweet and spicy sauce served with it is from trader Joe's...I know because I've bought it before, so I don't believe it's house made. Like I previously stated, the broccolinni was missing the almonds, and the carrots on the side that I ordered for $13 were so embarrassing that the waitress came back after serving us and told us that she spoke to the manager and got those off our bill. That's how ridiculous they were, so thank you to her for having good values at work. While I liked my steak, it was very, very fatty, and my husband asked for medium rare and definitely got medium well. Lastly, the pink champagne cake was disappointing, not because it was yucky, but because the cake itself was clearly days old, and had been freshly frosted. It was tough, dry and stale, while the frosting was fresh and light. Overall, I can see coming back but I'm in no rush due to the price/location/overall food.

Turns out it's the former, at least in atmosphere. The service was genuinely lovely from start to finish. The host, server, and table assistants were warm and attentive. No notes there. We went with the ribeye prix fixe, which felt like the obvious call given that Ms. Jane's has built its reputation around it. The menu included a salad, two ribeyes with mashed potatoes and broccoli, and dessert for $150 plus wine. The salad was beautiful and delicious. It just could've used some cheese, and I will die on that hill. The mashed potatoes were legitimately outstanding and nearly redeemed the entire evening on their own. The broccoli was fine. Broccoli is always just fine. Then there were the ribeyes. They were enormous, beautifully presented, and unfortunately not much else. Both cuts had an excessive amount of fat and lacked the depth of flavor you'd expect from a restaurant that's staked its identity on this one dish. We make better steaks at home, which is not something you want to be thinking about after dropping $150 before wine. Dessert closed things out on a high note. A chocolate and vanilla mousse topped with genuinely delicate whipped cream. In the moment we told ourselves we'd come back and try something else. A few days of reflection later, that enthusiasm cooled but it didn't disappear entirely. The service was too good, the mashed potatoes too memorable, and the mousse too solid to write the place off completely. Ms. Jane's clearly has something going on. We just hope the ribeye isn't the thing they're most proud of.
