Not like it was before. Less items on the menu. Just stuck with the drink menu not a lot of dining option.

Commuted from the Bronx to Brooklyn just to try this place. It was a slow Saturday night fairly empty. I'm assuming because of the storm coming that night. The place was very vibrant and had beautiful murals all around. The staff was very attentive from beginning to end. Our drinks were made to perfection. The bartender took his time to create aesthetically pleasing drinks. One of the things that I wanted to try on the menu was mango chow. So we ordered the TriniJam sampler which had the works. Everything was SOOO GOOD especially the mango chow. I loved every bit of it. Onto the entrée. I had the snapper and chow mein. It was a pretty hefty dish and for the price I did not go wrong. Again, everything was so amazing. I can't wait to return to this place and have a gigantic bowl of mango chow and whatever else the menu has to offer. As a recommendation to the owner. If this place doesn't have as much traction as it could, I would 100% suggest that he promote his business on Instagram and do different food videos. Promote & host different theme nights like karaoke night, Soca Saturdays and brunch events. This place is truly amazing.

Its a Caribbean vibe and that night they had a dj playing older soca music . Just vibed the entire night - will be returning !

Nice, lovely addition to have in Canarsie Food- 3.5/5 -the wings were okay bc they were softer inside due to them being thick. I asked for well done and they had a nice crisp. Service- 4/5 Rum punch was def tasty. The bartender was excellent- Asian guy who was cool, friendly and gave great recommendations and correct heat-level descriptions! Ambiance 4/5 Nice decor, loved the artwork on the wall and the Trini culture representation. Menus including happy hour are included in photos of review. 2 thumbs up, will return and would recommend

I loved the experience that I had here. Thank you to Calvin who helped me and showed me hospitality. The food was amazing. I tried the Curry Crab Legs, Chowmein, Jerk Chicken Platter, Curry Goat Roti, And Tropical Alcohol Free Drinks. All the dishes I had were presented well, tasted authentic, and made with love. Trini Jam is a Trinidadian & Jamaican fusion restaurant and I definitely felt that through the dishes I tried. The Curry Goat Roti and Chowmein were my favorite. Also, this place is a vibe. Great place to dine in with friends, family, or a spouse. A good amount of dining space and great music.

Came in here for happy hour, and I met Owen, the bartender, who was very engaging, and all of the drinks he made me were good. I ordered the jerk chicken, which was good and spicy. The music is good and the location is convenient. I've been aiming to come here for a while, and I'm glad I walked in today. I will def come back to try more food on the menu and more drinks If you're in the canarsie area, definitely go to trinijam for a drink and bite to eat. The vibe is nice. In the summer, there is outside seating.

If you're looking for the best Trini/jamacian food in Brooklyn check out TriniJamBK. The customer service was amazing. The ambiance was very nice giving an island feel and very cozy. This authentic Trini cuisine was packed with mouth watering flavors. The food was seasoned to perfection with a hint of spice. The food taste very fresh. The star of the show was the jerk chicken 10/10 it was the perfect balance of spicy, smoky, sweet & savory all in one delicious bite The drink were a 10/10 tasty and slight strong.

Our visit here was really a wave of events. Overall, they earned their 4 stars; and I would return when brunch becomes available. As a local Canarsie residence, I've passed the place multiple times and wanted to check them out. I originally came here to have Sunday brunch with a cousin. Wasn't seeking anything too "boozey" but definitely bottomless mimosas, good food and high vibes!!! Tho, the menu has a "Sunday Brunch" option, our server, Owen, and the owner let us know such menu will be available soon... that was VERY disappointing!!!! But we're already there, hungry and didn't want to search and travel to a new location. We reviewed the menu, but unfortunately the appetizer items we wanted weren't available. We managed with shrimp options and mac & cheese for starters. (See pic) The Mac and cheese tasted like home mac pie. In all its Trini glory, with that bold mustard taste mixed in with cheese and seasoning. The firecracker shrimp was BOMB! Definitely an explosive taste of Fire and spice!! Unfortunately, the reggae boys shrimps fell short. They were undercooked. As for our meal, allllllllll components were very good, tasty, and freshly prepared. (See pics for item details) Our mimosa pitchers were well made. The correct amount champagne VS juice ratio. Areas of improvement: More servers available. I'm not sure if it's normally slow on Sundays, however this Sunday had a healthy flow of patrons. Menu item availability. Many options weren't available. Our experience here was very nice. We stayed for a few hours, enjoyed drinks and food, and we didn't feel rushed. It was a lovely place to spend a Sunday afternoon, and looking forward to returning in the warmer months

They have the potential for great food not only because of the cuisine but spices they have available to them. However, while the ambiance is there the presence isn't. We walked in around 7pm on a Saturday and the place was dead. We doubted because usually the place is questionably opened or desolate closed to the point you ask yourself if they're still open. The service, our table had, was friendly but they were lacking a lot. There wasn't one thing in the menu that they actually had to reassuringly order without they'll coming back to tell you they didn't or they can do something else. The bartender wasn't there so the server/waitress/bartender/hostess told what she could make it was good at. That's a disservice. We had the wings plain and that was seasoned enough to actually taste good. No sauce. That means they have the potential to make great tasting food but you can't taste it if they rarely have anything that can be ordered. For dinner we attempted several entrees, and Everytime they came back saying they didn't have it or someone just ordered it. But it was strange because only a couple people came in after but it wasn't a packed place. After that, we decided not to order anything to eat. Finished our drinks and left with that. A major disconnect or improvement needs to be addressed here. They can be much better.

Many times I have drivieb past this place and said I had to try it but it always was closed. Thus weekend I said let me stop and go to the door. They were closed but offered me take out. I didn't mind so I did that. I was told they are reservations only which is interesting but whatever works for businesses I can't judge. We ordered and was told it would be a fifteen minute wait. We sat where we should not have been seated on our own will and was nicely offered water and then moved to another area outdoors. Our food was serves dine in style which was very accommodating. Seriously, the food was amazing. So amazing, I returned later on and let my dad eat and I had a drink. My only issues would be the decor lacks luster. I feel like a dining experience needs to be an experience from the time you walk in the door. The bar drink I had was a Pina colada but it didn't really taste like it in my opinion so I wouldn't order it next time I visit. Also, once again a dining experience is very important to me. Dinner is an occasion for people to talk and converse and fellowship. Even in your home, dinner is for families to wind down, unless I'm just off. The music in so many restaurants are so loud, I don't want to scream over dinnner, so it would be so great if restaurants played light music, even just an instrumental so you can have a peaceful and relaxing dinner.

We popped in on a Thursday for Happy Hour. There were a few patrons and the music was GREAT. The bartender was very attentive and made an amazing drink called the Pineapple Drop. It was a perfect drink for a summer evening. We also got some firecracker shrimp from the happy hour menu which were crispy and tangy. Well worth a visit.

My siblings and I visited this restaurant on Saturday night. It was very quiet as we were the only people in the establishment. A few people came in afterwards. It was slow for a Saturday night. The interior of the restaurant is very nice. The staff was minimal because the regular bartender was off and a lot of the food items were not available. We are ordered some passionfruit margaritas and Jack and coke. We decided to have the wings. We ordered the honey garlic and regular fried wings. The fried wings were delicious and way better than the honey garlic flavor. I was disappointed that I didn't get to try the entrees on the menu being that a lot of the food items were unavailable. The waitress was very nice and she provided us with shots due to us not being able to order entrees. I would give this restaurant another try but I hope I come in on a night when the regular bartender is there and the chef is able to provide everything on the menu.

04/01/23: After a 12+ work shift no cooking was being done. Local spot in my neighborhood some items they prepare ok some times pretty good. One of those is anything curry shrimp. Asked my son to call to place order for curry shrimp roti but they were out so had the curry shrimp dinner instead. Good size portion need a bit more plantain though..lol. Curry shrimp very flavorful this time around though a bit dry needed more gravy. All in all good meal will continue to patronize.

Why did I wait so long to come here?!…read more I mean, I know why. It's a bit of a trek from where I live. But I'll happily travel for good food, and Trinciti absolutely justified the journey. As an Indian, I don't say this lightly. I know my Indian food. I was already aware of the historical overlap between Indian and Caribbean cuisines, but Trinidadian food fascinated me. The familiar spices and flavors are there, yet they've evolved into something entirely their own. You can taste the migration story, the adaptation, and the creativity in every bite. A quick practical note because Instagram reels had me misinformed. They do take cards. You don't need cash. Also, parking isn't exactly abundant, and there aren't many nearby places to sit with your takeaway. My advice is to grab a table and eat there. The space itself is small and pretty no-frills, so if you're coming for ambiance, this isn't that kind of place. But if you're coming for flavor, you're in exactly the right place. The setup is simple. You line up, order when it's your turn, and move things along. It's a busy spot, so a little menu reconnaissance goes a long way. The staff are efficient and patient, but they're not mind readers. Asking them whether shrimp or chicken is "better" feels like asking someone whether you should prefer chocolate or vanilla. Both are good. It depends on what you like. We ordered the dhalpuri roti, which is a soft flatbread stuffed with seasoned ground lentils. If you're sharing, ask for it not to be wrapped. Otherwise, it comes rolled up like a wrap. We filled ours with both the curried goat and the oxtail because we weren't there to play it safe. Both were excellent, paired with those comforting, home-style potatoes that soak up all the flavor without overwhelming you with spice. I also couldn't leave without trying the doubles, and we kept it plain. Oh. My. God. Flavor bomb. At its heart, it reminded me of chole bhature's distant cousin. The same comforting chickpea soul, but interpreted through Trinidad's lens with pepper sauces and chutneys that make it unmistakably its own. I honestly think the chutneys are what take it over the top. For the bake and shark though Pay first, take your number, and when they call you up, tell them how you'd like it dressed. Personally, I have a "trust the chef and give me everything" philosophy, so I said yes to it all. The result was a glorious mess of crispy fried shark piled high with pineapple, lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, and an array of vibrant chutneys that I am still thinking about. They do not skimp on the fish. Watching them assemble it from the front row is part of the fun. Before you leave, do not skip the cassava cake. The raisin dessert was a bit too sweet for my taste, but that's entirely personal and worth trying if you have a sweeter tooth than I do. They also sell plenty of snacks and hot sauces, so take a look around before heading out. One final thing I appreciated. They have a restroom and a sink stocked with soap. Trust me, you are going to get messy. That's part of the joy of eating here. If you're the kind of person who side-eyes people for eating with their hands, this might not be your scene. If you're willing to embrace the delicious chaos, Trinciti will reward you generously. I left full, happy, and wondering why I had let distance keep me away for so long. Some places are worth the drive. Trinciti is absolutely one of them.

My Trini friend was shocked that I;ve never had doubles and so this day was my lucky day. When you reach, the servers take your order along with as many toppings and additions. They also had bake and shark, bake and saltfish, and other items to choose from such as dhal puri roti, pholourie with tamarind sauce, it was my first time so I didn't go too crazy and wanted to appreciate the essence of the doubles. I would go back again. It is takeout, so don't get too comfy. Make sure you're ready to grab your order and take that first bite after you leave or reach your destination!
