The grilled burritos are huge and delicious. Love the shrimp burrito. Lots of other good stuff on the menu too, however the burritos stand out. Beware the hot sauces are REALLY hot! Love the green sauce! Expect a language barrier with the staff, it adds to the authenticity. It's tiny inside, kinda cramped but you can still sit down to eat. Strange location behind the head shop. We stopped here for the first time tonight. The first thing I'll say is that the service is the best! The gentleman taking our order was very friendly and helpful offering samples of a couple dishes that were all wonderful. The pollo mexicano, tinga de pollo and mole con pollo were wonderful. I noticed Dos Locos Burritos one day as I was driving down Chesterfield Road to Gratiot. I Googled it, and the menu looked really good. We ordered it for lunch at work one day, and we were all impressed by the authentic Mexican tacos, and the portion sizes, which were very generous. The homemade salsas were really good, too. That was my first experience. I told my family about it, and we placed an order on a Saturday afternoon. My son picked it up, and came back with a couple of free items; a few churros, which were absolutely delicious, and a guava Agua Fresca, which was one the the best tasting drinks I have ever had. The man who takes the orders and runs the register is very friendly and kind. We have ordered from Dos Locos Burritos four times now, and the food has been consistently good, and freshly prepared every time. The burritos are HUGE, and filled with delicious ingredients. All of the meats we have tried have been very tasty. We have ordered the Mexican style tacos, burritos (regular and Locos Style), chimis, quesadillas, horchata, Agua Fresca, and chips and salsa. Everything has been delicious. The interior is small with a few tables, but it's really clean and nicely kept. There is a stainless steel cooled serving unit with salsas in it to the left of the register in the front that has soufflé cups with lids that you can fill with salsa for your order. The prices are mid-range, but I don't mind spending $15.00 on a burrito when that burrito is huge, and filled with high-quality, freshly prepared ingredients. The amount of food you get is absolutely worth the price you pay. I highly recommend Dos Locos Burritos! read more

Everything about this place is amazing. My girlfriend and I got tacos, but Alberto made sure we got to try a little bit of everything! While we were waiting for our food (which only took a few minutes!), Alberto brought us drinks to try, went to each table that was eating to make sure they were enjoying everything, informed us about all the specials throughout the week, and answered any questions we had. He overheard us talking about the chicharron and threw one in our bag too so we could try! This is the best, most authentic Mexican I've had in all of Michigan! The inside is small, but very clean and welcoming. Even if you're not from the area, I would say it's worth the drive! I cannot recommend this place enough. This is a review from the first time I tried this place which was when it first opened last year. The food here was phenomenal; the quesabirria tacos with the consommé is one of the best I've had. The chorizo burrito will keep you full for 48 hours. And all their tacos are fantastic. Lately, it takes forever to get a phone call answered and it seems like they have less help with the horde of people that seem to flock here daily. But they are always kind and always working hard to pump out delicious food. The simple rice and beans are also worth trying which most places just throw in front of you unseasoned. Not the case here. It's pretty tiny inside, only about five tables but the carry out process is great for the most part. I would say be patient with them, because the food is worth it for sure! And they now have a sign above the door so you can't miss it! read more

Straight up garbage. We ordered the "sampler" for 3 people. We picked it up at the exact time we asked for it. We went straight home with it and opened it. Everything was STACKED all together. Not individually wrapped, in a tin foil container. EVERYTHING was soggy and gross. Our beans and rice we paid an EXTRA $6 for was in a container STACKED on each other. What if someone was allergic? I called and got a little girl that sounded completely fake about her apology. She took my number for a manager to call me back apparently the next day. Well, guess what, no one called. I was not going to write this if they would have done the right thing but, they did not. So here you go. We ordered them one time before and the tacos were nothing but grease. I highly DO NOT recommend a business that does not care and just takes your money. Shame on you Dos Locos. Wish we had the experience these other (probably fake) reviews did. read more

Great little spot for tacos Mexicanos. They can be a bit inconsistent. The tacos at the end of the day were super greasy, like... dripping in grease, and the tacos, without sauce lack flavor. They could do better with seasoning the meat, the pickled onions, and cilantro, but overall they do a pretty decent job. Their tacos sauces are delicious. Their birria tacos lack flavor and cheese; they're just ok, (so bad that I stopped ordering them) but they have the best tamales in Mac Co. read more

I saw this restaurant on my Uber Eats app as an option near my work site. I figured it was Tuesday and I am craving tacos so let's give it a go. I placed a pick up order and came here 5 minutes later. It's a nice looking establishment inside and out and the menu looks great. To get the good out of the way, my tacos were fantastic. The chicken, asada and shrimp were delicious all around with fried corn tortilla and salsa verde/rojo to compliment them. Everything was well seasoned and made fresh to order. The only reason why I did not give them 5 stars was because they were slow. As soon as I got there I was met with a line outside the door, which I'm sure bodes well to the quality of the food. But the reason for this line was because the place is very small, they only had 2 people working (one taking orders and one making the food) and it was lunch time on a Tuesday. I can tell some of the other customers were getting a little frustrated by this and it made for an uncomfortable experience. When you do come by try not to come during lunch time, especially if you're working and on break. If they can get one or two extra pair of hands to help during these shifts I think they will be in great shape. read more

This place felt like walking into a home, the staff was so friendly and took time to greet us even while slammed with customers. I started to wonder why the wait was taking so long (about 10 minutes...I'm not that patient lol) but when I got my burrito I saw why, this thing was massive bigger than both my hands! The important part is taste though and this tasted just how the place felt, like home. Our motorcycle group, This Ride Goes to 11, embarked on our annual Tacopacolypse Taco Run on Saturday, 7/272/2024. We had 20 riders in the group and were excited to visit 4 different restaurants to find the best Taco in the greater Detroit area. Dos Locos Burritos, in Chesterfield Township (Gratiot and Chesterfield Road) was our 2nd stop of the day. Aside from the establishment having limited seating, we were all able to eat in the dining room comfortably. We were greeted enthusiastically, and our order was taken quickly. We requested the best Taco, Chips, and Salsa they had to offer, and they did not disappoint. They enthusiastically jumped into action and delivered several taco options, including barbacoa, chicken, carne asada, chorizo, and they added 3 additional beef tacos with an au jus sauce that was amazing. Everyone enjoyed the salsas and sauces, fresh guacamole, and queso as well! Bravo to the cooks and staff at Dos Locos Burritos for an exceptional dining experience! Found my new favorite spot. The owner is the nicest man. He was making great recommendations and gave me free samples of all of their drinks. It's a cozy spot with a few tables to dine in. Place was clean and well taken care of. Food is absolutely delicious. I got the Birria tacos. It comes with 3 tacos with onions cilantro meat and cheese with dripping on the side. My partner got a burrito that was HUGE and he said it was one of the best burritos he has ever had. The chips were fresh and crunchy we tried both mild and spicy both were really tasty spicy had a nice kick but was not over powering. The owner said on Tuesdays they have 5 tacos for $10 for taco Tuesday! We absolutely will be returning. I wish I took picture of the food but it gone with in 10 mins lol. read more
