Nice setting looking out over the beach area of lake pend orielle in samdpoint, Idaho. On the porch area of the restaurant, the train noise was a distraction. I enjoyed the clams and linguine dish which was well prepared but not enough clams (6 steamed clams). Very good service and very friendly staff. This is one of my favorite in Sandpoint, a close second to 41 South. I like the decor of this restaurant much better, it is modern, and goes along with the beach front location. The employees are professionally dressed, and the experience is very nice for such a small town. The view really sets this one apart, along with a great location. It is right up on the beach, and you can take in the mountains and lake from almost any spot in the restaurant. The place is nice without being stuffy, and does great events. Some of the standouts are the craw fish soup, which is rich and buttery, along with a caesar salad my mother enjoys, and I, the cheesecake. Beautiful view. We sat on the patio to enjoy the gorgeous view. I ate the Scallops, spinach, mushrooms & artichokes. It was delicious. My friend Wendy had the filet mignon & loved it too. Our waiter was Ian & he was very attentive. We sat & visited for over 2 hours & he never pressured us to leave so his table can be given to the next customer. Lance!!! That's a review in itself. We have had to come to Sandpoint twice in the last couple weeks for work and we feel so welcomed and at home every time we come in. Spending 5 day's at a time here you would think we would eat somewhere else but nope! We're here every single night! Lance is the reason we keep coming back. First things first its in Best Western... nuff said. My father ordered the pasta primavera and the sause looked and tasted like it came out of a can, with no fresh vegitables. I ordered the Ciopinno, which was terrible. There was no broth and it tasted like the pasta sause on my Dad's plate. The fish was over cooked and the crawfish was too difficult to eat. The service is average and since we ate dinner there can't say anything about the view. The bar next door is very loud which disturbs the atmosphere. My boyfriend and I were coming back from a roadtrip we took to Olympic National Park and passed through Sandpoint. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend, so we decided to have dinner here. It has a lovely beach view, nice outdoor seating and great service. I ordered the Garden Green Salad w/added salmon and my boyfriend ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon. My salad called for mixed greens and seasonal vegetables. The salad came in a very small bowl and was composed of 3 vegetables: diced tomatoes, romaine lettuce and baby corn. I guess there were no other veggies in season? The salmon on my salad was a small chunk that looked like it was taken off a larger piece of salmon. The Cedar Plank Salmon was interesting. We grill a lot of cedar plank salmon in the PNW. This piece of salmon seemed pan fried and then placed on top of the cedar plank for presentation. The restaurant's custom logo cedar plank wasn't even used to grill the salmon! I'm not going to even describe the sides. Totally lacking in quality and flavor. The only thing worth our visit here was the view and their drink selection. read more

Fantastic views and amazing eats! 2hat more could you want? I came here at lunch on a sunday in jan. The view is great and I had to sit inside! In the summer on the deck it must be spectacular! I ordered a cup of the corn crawfish chowder and the TCB burger. The chowder was fantastic! It was perfectly balanced sweet and spicy. The burger was also very good, although they tended to put a little too much of each condiment. I would reccomend dressings or condiments on the side. read more

Since it wasn't busy, I decided to sit in the lounge. There were a couple of people at the bar, plus 3 tables, including mine. The bartender was the only person servicing the area. He was friendly, in the "bartender's way." Menu selection was fine, ranging from soups, salads, meat (prime rib, chicken, trout, etc), and sandwiches. Full bar with various beer and wine. The corn chowder with crawfish was surprisingly tasty. I was expecting a typical way too salty soup, but this wasn't. I also received bread (diagonally cut French bread) with whipped butter. The trout, although served nice and hot, wasn't super tasty. Mostly it was just over buttered, and not much else in terms of flavor. The green veggie was slightly under seasoned, but mostly acceptable. The rice was completely bland. I decided to not try any dessert. The atmosphere wasn't bad. You do get a good view of the water, the marina, and the parkway. It wasn't too noisy either, and kept clean. Kind of a nice place to wind down after a day of touring the area. I wish a restaurant in Sandpoint would serve regional food (what's with all the Mexican, Italian, and even Greek food?). I suppose this place is as close as it gets. I'd probably come back, but only if I'm running thin on choices. read more

Beautiful setting, wonderful service, pleasant atmosphere - food eh - not so much. I ordered scallops salad and was excited to try the honey lime dressing. The greens were overwhelming to the point that everything else in the bowl was diminished. The scallops were prepared well and the dressing was simply an afterthought and the token strawberries had trouble making their presence known with the gargantuan amount of lettuces in the bowl. The seared Ahi salad my guest ordered was an embarrassment. The huge amount of lettuce made the small amount of Ahi like looking for a needle in a haystack. Seriously, I have had lovely meals here in the past. Not sure I will ever be back. read more

We had lunch here on Monday 3/1/21. The food was really good and we really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was great too and the view is incredible. We enjoyed our meal and will be back. I would give 5 stars except the service was unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome. The hostess who greeted us seemed very annoyed to see us which was weird because there were only 3 other tables in the restaurant. Our server brought everything promptly which I appreciated but he also seemed really irritated to be at work. I've been a server for 12 years, smile people! Trinity at City Beach is a restaurant befitting tourists staying at the Best Western Edgewater in Sandpoint because it is sloppy. We attempted to get a table on a Sunday night and it was evident that the hosts weren't capable of providing a positive customer experience. No one was confident in quoting wait times also. So when we did finally get on a list for a call back that never happened we were grateful to have found another restaurant called Ivanos which was professional. read more

We got the fish and chips the Cole slaw was warm needed to be cold and the tarter needed to be cold as well it was freshly made so both were a little warm but still delicious!! I think of Trinity as the best place to dine in Sandpoint. The servers are all super friendly, the food is always top quality and the they also have the best mixed drinks in North Idaho. Every time I go there, I order a salad with the maple chipotle dressing. If that's the only thing you order, it's totally worth it. The strawberry vanilla mojito is my favorite drink. My husband makes it a point to order something new every time we go there. Breakfast here is amazing. A delicious and beautiful way to start any day - calm, scenic setting on the lake. Clean and comfortable. A little pricy, but worth every penny. We had the country breakfast, crab cake Benedict and a half order of French toast. Everything was perfect. And to top it off, coffee was good and mimosas were delicious and served in big wine glasses. A++++ Dinner wasn't quite as strong as their breakfast game. We were expecting another home run, but it just wasn't quite as amazing as we imagined, especially for the price. But service is amazing, the wine suggestion was perfect. We had been staying in the area for a week; this was the last night of our vacation and my wife was lamenting the fact that we hadn't once had what she felt was a truly great meal. Well, this was it! First, a nice location overlooking the water. Second, very friendly service (thanks, Jennifer!). The best? My wife had the sockeye salmon while I had the Idaho trout and both were exceptional. Trinity at City Beach is hands down my favorite dinner spot in Sandpoint. The patio has a covered section and umbrellas where shade is not natural, and the waitstaff is always very friendly. My go-to is the Pecan Crusted Chicken Salad on the bar menu, but you can order it no matter where you are sitting. On the one occasion that the modifications on my meal were incorrect, I was not charged for it and was given a gift card to make up for the experience. This happened right as the busy season began, so it makes sense that one small mistake could happen! The owner went above and beyond to make sure that this wouldn't happen again, and delivered on that promise! I am so pleased with the customer service I receive while dining here and I recommend this restaurant to anyone - even (especially) those with children - looking for a nice, comfortable, up-scale casual dining experience. This is my go-to spot when I want to show my friends and family the best that Sandpoint has to offer.
