Called for a reservation. They didn't have the exact time we wanted at first but then called back shortly after when a table came available at our requested time. Thought that was excellent customer service. Were seated upon arrival. We ordered fish and chips, grilled cheese, and buttered noodles. Everything was excellent! Fish and chips is plenty to split. I only give this restaurant 2 stars for the service staff. We walked in without reservations for lunch to be promptly seated, and drinks ordered, and then again food orders placed. All of the wait staff was extremely friendly, and did a great job taking care of our party of 4. The atmosphere was nice. The restaurant overlooks the city beach park, and it was a gorgeous sunny day. We sat indoors, which ended up being pretty loud. The concrete floors and hard surfaces at times made it hard to hear each other across the table. After ordering it took about 40 minutes to get our food, it was brought to the table lukewarm, most of our dishes were sitting for quite a while before the last dish was plated. I ordered the Hot Italian sandwich. The flavor was, ok. The bread on the sandwich was stale, and chewy like it had come out of the microwave for far too long. The sweet potato fries were cold, like the rest of my food. The lunch for all 4 of us (2 adults & 2 kids) was (before tip) $75.00. As I said, the service was great, and we tipped accordingly, but we won't be back to this place again. Overpriced, underwhelming food. read more

I have eaten here multiple times and have had great dining experiences everytime. I have had breakfast, lunch and dinner here, as well as drinks/bar menu and have never had a bad experience. Consistency is something you can expect here. Service is excellent and their food is consistently prepared well, kudos to all the staff. The atmosphere is clean and inviting with beautiful views of the lake. If you are passing through town it's easy to stop here from hwy 95. There are several good restaurants in sandpoint and this on is up near the top of the list. I recommend this to anyone visiting the area. read more

Shocker. Last time we came here it was the Beach House and we loved it. This time we were surprised to find it had changed hands and was now Trinity. The only thing similar between the two is the view. It went from friendly and delicious to rude and overpriced mediocre (at best). Our server seemed put out every time we asked for something. Went for breakfast on Saturday morning about 8:30 am, wanted to eat outside on the deck. No wait BUT all they were serving was brunch, nothing off the menu. We should have run away but the lake was so beautiful that we went for it. It was a buffet with made to order omelets, $11.95 per person. The food was almost inedible. Cold, dried out, or greasy. The omelets were each underdone and overdone and very oily. The biscuits were suitable for hockey puck use. And, then the coffee. We are talking gas station quality coffee. It tasted burned. This restaurant may be okay when they are using the menu which they said they would go back to in October. They went to brunch because the wait times were too long. It was a mistake. I have been to Trinity now several times at their new location and I love it. The location, by City Beach, has one of the best views in town. The food is great. I have had a scallop with gorgonzola cheese topping I loved. I have also had the Trinity Chicken which is fried and man was it tasty. Crispy and flavorful crust with soft moist chicken inside, oh yeah!! The have a decent wine list, nothing spectacular and a full bar. Come for the view stay for the food. Keep it up Trinity things are tasty. By the way they are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and I hear the prime rib hash at breakfast is out of this world. Recently took my wife here for a Valentines Day lunch. Hostess was very friendly, but our waitress seemed indifferent. Typically, Trinity is a good experience, but this server did not make our 'day date' all that memorable or special. She ignored the fact that it was a) Valentine's Day b) my wife was pregnant and c) lacked a general warmth you expect on a holiday at an ostensibly nice restaurant. My drink went empty and it seemed like she had bigger, more important tables to serve. News flash guys. We have a large family and plenty of money to spend on big days out, if the experience merits it. We've been the three-table party here before. But don't treat your customers like small tips. You don't know what business you'll lose in the future as a result. Trinity will be losing ours. The food was forgettable because the service was so lackluster. The view of the beach, lake and mountains beyond is breathtaking. And its a pretty peaceful area too, although the restaurant tends to be pretty busy. The food was pretty good and the service decent. Recently visited on a quick unexpected getaway! So very surprisingly good. Especially for the price. My friend and I ordered a bottle of Viognier, Mussels, spinach salad, enchiladas, and the toffee mousse cake. The mussels were very good, full of flavor and with pleasantly tender texture. The enchiladas were pretty decent as well. Being a chocolate and a dessert fan though, I have to give it to the Toffee mousse cake. Not overly sweet or overpowering. Texturally it was even and smooth and delectable. Mmmm. When I go back to Sandpoint I will definitely return. read more

Hands down the best restaurant in Sandpoint. Food is consistently of good quality and prices are reasonable. Love the breakfast menu and of course the fantastic view of the lake. Lunch has delicious salads and the service is stellar. One suggestion I would have for Trinity would be a better hot tea selection (different tea vendor). Other than that, two thumbs up from us! DO NOT order the caesar salad with chicken!!! they charge five bucks for less than a third of a small chicken breast. $11 for a salad with two bites of chicken?!?!? ridiculous! don't get me wrong, the salad was tasty, even though they grilled the romaine to the point of near soggy-ness. Ordered fish and chips, husband got portobello ravioli. Both of those were good. Service was lacking a ill. We had our four kids with us and we had to ask and wait a while til after our food got there for silverware and napkins. The butter that came with the bread tasted like the fridge it was stored in. My daughters cheeseburger was so over cooked and dry she would not eat it. The waitress was kind enough to remove it from the bill. This was the forth time we ate here. All times have been mediocre at best. Pretty expensive. I'll try other places next time we come to town. read more

We spent Thanksgiving night at the BW Edgewater hotel and were unable to get reservations prior to arriving. We were told they were doing room service, so we figured that would suffice. We spent the day driving the area and stopped for lunch in Bonners Ferry, only to find they only offered special menu of Thanksgiving meals. We decided we would eat early dinner since we were unsure of our hotel restaurant. The service was so lacking we never go to order after we were seated so we headed back to the hotel. We checked to see if they could seat us, and as luck would have it they seated us in the bar, or I should say at the bar. Our bartender Lance took our drink order and dinner order promptly, the meal was out in 5-10 minutes, and it was very sumptuous! We enjoyed the jovial personality of our bartender Lance and were happy that we didn't settle for the sloppy service and food at the Kootenai Hotel/Casino.
