Get your FOOD to GO!! I wouldn't recommend to eat inside this restaurant. This place has way too many flies, my kids have killed 8 of them in less than 10 mins, just near the table. They are all over the food and walls. We ended up getting to go boxes and took our food to the beach and didn't have any flies near us or our food. The table next to us also complained about the flies. I don't get how closed door restaurant (for the most part) had so many flies. The wait staff said they are doing everything they can but I am not so sure they truly were. I've seen places that had fly catchers. read more

Beautiful view of the lake. Food was subpar. The salad was decent but mussels we fishy and tough, the calamari overly breaded. The drinks tasted as though they were pre mixed. The server was attentive although didn't seem to know the menu well. read more

We made a reservation based on Yelp reviews and without ever having seen the place. When we pulled up and saw it was attached to a Best Western I said, "Oh no, what are we in for?" Turns out we were in for one of the best dinners we've had in years. Start with the dinner rolls. These are amazing and are on par with the famous Parker House rolls in Boston. (Do not go to this restaurant if you're counting carbs.) The corn and crawfish chowder was delicious. My wife, who tries the coconut shrimp at any restaurant that offers them, declared these were some of the best she's had. I could go on and on, but I'll just say that it was such a great meal, with such great service, that we changed our lunch plans for the next day and came back for more! Don't let the fact that it's attached to a Best Western deter you. Try the food (and the drinks); You won't be disappointed. And do ask for seating on the deck, weather permitting. Stopped at the Best Western Edgewater for the night on our vacay and were too tired to walk to town so came here. Greeting was friendly and we were quickly seated inside (outside was full, had live music) Lovely locale on the beach. Waiter was friendly and personable and food was good. I had the Caprese salad and husband had the calamari. The special red curry tiger prawns were a 5 star hit and husband had filet minion he would score as a three. Our family usually celebrates Christmas by having prime rib at Lawry's Five Crowns in Corona Del Mar, CA. We were in Sandpoint over the holidays so we had prime rib at Trinity. It was, by far, the best prime rib I've ever had. Five Crowns is very good but Trinity was so much better! read more

Ordered room service while staying in the hotel here and the whole experience was great. I loved that the cobb salad was chalked full of toppings and my husband really enjoyed the pork tacos. The pancakes are enormous!!! This restaurant makes a stellar breakfast, has a beautiful view, and it all comes with excellent service! Almost immediately we were seated in a very tidy dining area. The decor is low key which is great because it leaves you looking out the big windows and enjoying the view. The menu is simple and the prices have a range between $5 - $15 for breakfast. We enjoyed the biscuits and gravy, made with sausage, their eggs cooked perfectly as requested, and the bacon is pure heaven! Let me tell you about the pancakes... they were HUGE!!! The order of two pancakes fed two of us with leftovers. I would say larger than a frisbee and they took up the entire dinner plate, and were each about 1/2 inch thick. A little too big in all honesty and the waitress did tell us they aren't always that large, so a consistency issue possibly? The flavor of the pancakes was a little strong on the orange, but paired very nicely with the maple syrup. Overall I say despite the almost awkwardly large pancakes, the flavors were on point, the service was excellent, the prices were reasonable, and the location was clean and inviting. we celebrated our anniversary dinner at Trinity's on June 18, 2022. We showed up prior to our reservation time, but were promptly seated outside on the deck. We ended up requesting to be moved to another outdoor table that wasn't in the shade prior to ordering food so we could stay in the sun. Although it was only a few feet from our original table, they made us change food servers despite our request not to. We hardly saw our new server and were told that we couldn't order the cobb salad although it was printed on the menu in the entryway. Our anniversary was never acknowledged even though I mentioned it at the time of making the reservation and also mentioned it to the older gentleman that was part of management that came by our table. I ordered the steak salad and enjoyed the steak, but the lettuce was absolutely saturated in vinaigrette dressing and not edible. The coconut shrimp appetizer and drinks we ordered were fantastic, as well as the view of the lake, but that was about it. I had higher expectations of Trinity's based on reviews and a recommendation from a friend that is local. Overall, service was slow as our new server was inattentive and the dinner was overpriced for what we received. I strongly doubt that we will be back to this establishment. read more

Not as good as it used to be. Ok though. We arrived around 10am, and were sat in the bar. Not a good view. We ordered breakfast and the biscuits were dried out and hard, the eggs and potatoes were perfect though. Pancakes were like rubber. Sent them back to kitchen and they were better. Service was ok, but all the staff was standing around watching a fight on television, instead of working or tending to customers. I have loved the coffee in the past, but it was so bitter this time. We will look for a different place to try next time we are in town. read more

Being in rural Montana for a few days vacation, we decided to see what's happening in Idaho. A quick yelp search and we were on our way to Sandpoint. A boutique shop owner in the cutest little town pointed us down the way to Trinity. The service was outstanding. We are from San Diego, a foodie haven, and we do not see service like this often. Everyone was attentive and polite, from the servers to the bussers. We never had to ask for water, napkins, or a second round of drinks. Speaking of drinks, they were strong and delicious. I got a dark and stormy and my husband tried the Caddy's Margarita. The spinach salad was great, a lot of bacon though if you're okay with that. The calamari was a small portion, but the sauces were big on flavor. Huckleberry cocktail sauce and some kind of pickle tartar sauce that I couldn't get enough of. For my main, I had the mushroom ravioli and it tasted homemade with creamy thyme and tomato sauce. My husbands prime rib was very good and perfectly cooked. If you're looking for fine dining that is reasonably priced with a gorgeous view of the lake, this is the spot to try. read more

I travel to Sandpoint a few times a year for business, and I have NO IDEA why i havent eaten at Trinity sooner. I have definitly been missing out on some of the best that Sandpoint has to offer. Stopped in for lunch, and at a friend's urging, i had the root veggie burger. WOW!!! I am in no way, shape or form a fan of beets. But this burger changed my mind about the delicious possibility of this bright purple veggie. Moist on the inside, and crispy on the outside, is an excellent contrast to the creamy jalapeno aioli, and cool ginger tomato relish. and dont even get me started on the pickled red onions. This burger is the perfect mix of sweet, salty, vinegary, and spicy between a bun. Dare i say its "Umami-esque"!!! Gasp! Yea i said it. I am tempted to contact the chef and ask for the recipe for this sandwich! The rest of my food was equally as good....salad was generous with mixed greens and a colorful mix of fresh veggies. Restaurants usually skimp on ingredients when it comes to a side salad, but not at Trinity! The basalmic dressing was excellent... not too salty, not too vinegary. Service: excellent! my drink glasses were never empty. and my server was accomodating, polite and patient (i asked a lot of questions). My wife and I met some friends here for drinks at the bar. I had been here previously a couple of years ago for dinner and that experience was easily 5 stars. This time around I wasn't as impressed. I ordered the ahi poke and my wife ordered the greek salad. The ahi was seasoned well but I couldnt taste the fish: just the soy/green onion marinade. This makes me think that the fish was sitting in the marinade for too long instead of being tossed with it upon being ordered. The greek salad was good but drowning in oil/dressing. I ordered another round of food: corn chowder and caprese. The caprese needed seasoning as it was bland but the chowder was smokey and delicious! The cocktails were also really good. The waitress must have misheard my second drink order because she brought me another dirty martini instead of the beer that I ordered. It was loud in there and the martinis were tasty so I didnt mind much. TLDR: previous visits´ food were much more impressive. The food this time around was lackluster. read more

Stopped for lunch, we were looking for a nice place to eat with a view of the beach. The view was great, we sat on the patio where we could watch the beach, it was very nice! The food for us was an afterthought but was probably the best meal we have had in a while. I had the BLT which was made with spectacular homemade bacon and a sauce with a bite, it was great! My wife had a salad with pecan crusted chicken which was also fantastic. My 2 sisters both had the pulled pork enchiladas which were all most too beautiful to eat and just as tasty to eat. My wife and I went to Trinity at City Beach today for the first time. We sat on the patio with an excellent view of the beach and all the sailboats beyond. My wife loves a good cheeseburger, so she ordered the cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. I had the TCB Club Sandwich with regular fries. Both sandwiches were excellent! She said that it was likely the best cheeseburger she had ever had. Did I mention that she loves a good cheeseburger? She also raved about the sweet tater fries. My club sandwich was absolutely loaded with ham, turkey, bacon, avocado, and had a great black pepper aioli sauce. The fries were cooked just right - crisp on the outside but tender chewy on the inside. An exceptionally good meal. Even Jessica, our server, was bubbly and friendly. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Sandpoint. read more

I've eaten here a couple times. Had breakfast and it was so-so. We had the eggs benedict which was well prepared, but arrived a bit cold. The breakfast potatoes were tasty, but had a tough texture. I'll try breakfast here again in hopes they do better. And then we had Thanksgiving dinner. They really knocked it out of the park for that meal! We had prime rib and turkey.
