After giving me a paper copy of the estimate on the spot, he let me know what options were probably in stock and which would need more time to be ordered, and then he left. No pressure, just good info. Overall, the work that Johnson would do was quite a bit more affordable and easily matched what I already had in my home, plus Tyler's service was quite respectful and informational. When the metal frame of my old wooden garage door broke in late night, I immediately searched for a trustworthy shop on yelp. After reading through a whole bunch of reviews on more than a dozen stores, I sent out inquiry to 6 of them. Adam, literally, within an hour replied and asked for a few simple questions, then turned around provided a ball park estimate, while the rest of the shops either took a long time to respond or would attempt to send a crew over to do the measurement immediately and refused even to provide a ball park number. Adam cut through all the BS and just plainly explained my options in a way that I can easily understand. I was truly impressed with his managerial skill, convincing but not aggressive. He sent in his technician to take the measurement, then followed up within days to discussed the final options and cost, and moved on to order the parts. The installation was completed and everything came up perfectly. Workmanship is superb. My only feedback regarding this experience is that his lead technician seemed to be a bit annoying, for kept complaining the decision I made for selecting the type of track (center versus side) and opener for my garage, which I had previously discussed with Adam on my rationale prior to making the final selection. In addition, the technician also complained (to my wife, which I had a earful afterward from her!) that I had a car parked inside the garage, which again, I had already mentioned to Adam the night before the installation that the car can't be started up so it can't be moved. Even when I got home, this technician had to repeat his complain one more time to me about the parked car. Seriously? I can't imagine that with all the jobs Trinity has worked on in the past, they have not came across similar situation with a parked car inside a garage before, so what is such a big deal that he (technician) had to kept complaining! We were going to tip each of the technician $30 each but with the annoying complain we had to endure, we dropped it down to $10 each. I seriously wanted to drop the rating to 4-stars, but I trust that Adam will take care this feedback accordingly. read more

Yesterday morning my garage door would only raise six inches and then go back down............over and over. I had to get my car out so I released the mechanism and raised it by hand. When I got back home it still wouldn't work. So I went online and contacted several service sites. It was a Sunday afternoon so I expected I wouldn't hear back from anyone until Monday. Adam called within the hour. After I explained what was happening he told me how to go out too the garage and turn the lift power dial clockwise which I did and "Bingo".............the garage door once again worked like it was supposed to. I called Adam back and thanked him profusely and told him he could just as easily made a house call and charged me $100 or $150 and I would have been perfectly satisfied, just to have it working again..............and he said, "No..........I'm more than glad I could solve your problem over the phone"..............Adam solved my problem in 5 minutes and didn't charge me a dime...........I'm almost wishing my garage door would quit for good so I could call him and have him come repair it...........I know I'd get a square deal from him. My garage door springs broke first thing in the morning. At work, I arranged a same day appointment that evening. Adam arrived a tad late, but immediately diagnosed the problem (springs), quoted a price, then went about performing the fix. He had parts on hand for my Genie model, and then determined that the trolley gripper was also broken. Whilst there was no exact replacement available for that part, he was able to take a part from a comparable model to make the existing part work. He then tested and adjusted the magnetic stop trigger to ensure that the door closed with a tight seal, but not excessive force on the trolley arm. Adam is local to Benicia. I found his service to be professional, frank, and honest, and would recommend him. The springs came with a three year warranty. read more

So here is the deal i first called a Co that i thought was local they gave me a price over the phone. They sent someone out to take measurements & to order the door they raised the price 200.00 i agreed signed the contract they sent someone else out two hours later.. I got a phone call 15 min later & they raised the price again another 400.00 found out it was a Co out of Texas. I had enough! I called Trinity Garage doors spoke with Adam explained the situation gave him the measurements & pictures he ordered the door as soon as it came in he called me & came out & installed it the same day! At 10:00 PM on a Friday night, I realized that a torsion spring on my garage door had snapped. I couldn't even lift the garage door manually. For all intents and purposes, my car was trapped. I was quite concerned as I had several critical appointments that next day! I called Trinity Overhead Door Company and left a message hoping for the best. Adam called me back in 10 minutes and agreed to meet me early the next day. In 30 minutes, he had made the repair and, basically, also serviced my whole unit My garage door used to sound like someone was strangling a cat...now it sounds like a purring kitten. My garage door would not open, so I tried working on it but I think I made it worse. Anyways, I knew I needed to call someone, so I called Trinity Overhead and Adam came the next day. Quick work at a fair price. Our garage door came off it's tracks when it hit a box that had been moved on a shelf. It popped off five rollers, got stuck halfway and was hanging at an angle overnight. Adam at Trinity heard my situation in the morning and said he would try to fit me in that day. He called a couple hours later and fit me in. But when he got there, he quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to repair and reset the exising door opener, re-align a few sticky spots on the door track and fixed the sun problem with the sensors for less than $100. Adam did a great job on repairing my overhead door! He came out the same day, even though it was after hours with no extra "late" fee. I thought the garage door opener probably needed to be replaced but he showed me it was a simple adjustment. He tested the door and inspected the tracks. He was upfront that the door needed to be replaced (which was a bummer). However, the offer I received from their manager (Dan) for replacing the door was reasonable and they were able to schedule the work promptly. The new door was installed without a hitch and glides smoothly on the tracks. I feel that R&S Vallejo is a quality outfit, and I intend to call them for future garage door repairs. Recommended.

The response for quote that I received from William Anchor Garage Service was well written, reasonable, and CLEAR to replace a broken garage door spring at one of my rental properties. During his inspection, Will noticed one of the lift cables had broken strands and explained why it was a safety concern. He recommended replacing it before it failed and caused more serious damage, and I really appreciated him catching something that could have become a much bigger problem. After replacing the spring and cable, he completed a full garage door service, cleaning, lubricating, balancing, and making sure everything was operating smoothly. The door now works great, and I have peace of mind knowing it was repaired correctly. I recently moved into a new house, and for storage purposes I needed to replace the very dated ceiling mounted garage door opener with a wall-mounted opener. After spending a weekend installing it myself, it would not open the garage door. So I called Jonathan, he was out the next day, and he quickly diagnosed that the springs and door rollers were beyond their useful life. He quoted me a very fair price for replacing the springs with new, heavy duty springs and new rollers, and the work was completed beautifully within a few days. Jonathan does!!! 1) I had already been through this process with another company so I understood the grade of springs and realized that the ones that Jonathan installed were two grades higher yet the price he charged me was less than they did as was the service not to mention the fact that I had to make an appointment two weeks in advance with these guys and Jonathan skipped in and out for me. 2) Jonathan didn't try to upsell me at all I actually asked him about replacing the opener and two bent pieces of track. He fixed the bent pieces of track and told me that my opener would probably be good for another 20 years so he didn't try to upsell me anything. He wouldn't even let me pay for his In-N-Out Burger. 3) I really enjoy supporting family owned businesses and the fact that he had his son with him and that he was showing him the ropes just resonates with me. There is a reason why this guy has so many five-star reviews I refer all my business to him and I do it with confidence.
