Possibly one of the worst massages I've ever had…read more My massage therapist was Terry, and she kept leaving the room throughout the session. At one point, my entire back was left uncovered for what felt like nearly 30 minutes while it was still wet from the wet towel and massage oil. I was freezing and incredibly uncomfortable. The massage itself was very disappointing. I originally requested medium pressure, but instead she repeatedly dug her elbow into my neck, moving it back and forth without any real technique or purpose. It was painful rather than therapeutic. I eventually asked her to switch to light pressure, but then the massage became so light that it barely felt like a massage at all. It was just rubbing with no technique or muscle work. I've honestly had better massages during a pedicure. I had been looking forward to relaxing and even falling asleep, but instead I couldn't relax because the massage was uncomfortable and ineffective. It honestly felt amateurish and lazy. The most frustrating part came when it was time to pay. When booking, they require a $40 deposit. Since I was unhappy with my massage, I told the receptionist I wanted to leave a $20 tip for my husband's massage therapist, who did a good job, and only $10 for mine. Instead of respecting my decision, they REPEATEDLY pressured me to leave a $40 tip since they already have my "deposit". I had to repeat myself THREE separate times: "$20 for my husband's therapist and $10 for mine." I don't mind tipping for good service, but I don't believe poor service should be rewarded. Being pressured to increase the tip after such a disappointing experience left an even worse impression than the massage itself.

It use to be a kids play area but they change into a photo booth, claw machine game room so older folks can enjoy. Their food court menu has expanded too. It use to be mostly Korean food but now you have shave ice, fruits, salad and smoothie drinks. Which is great if you're not particularly wanting anything heavy. Yes price has increased but they are also updated and expanded to make the experience more pleasant which I appreciate. It being over 6 months that I last came and was pleasantly surprised. I stop going for a while because the price increased but the facilities stayed the same and a little underwhelmed but now I'm enjoying it little bit more. It seems like everything is just a little bit better now. I see the effort.

Most of them were barely warm enough to make me sweat, and even the hottest room didn't feel hot at all. At first, I assumed something was malfunctioning, which I would have completely understood. However, I asked the front desk and was told that these are going to be their regular temperatures moving forward because they had been cited by the health department for the rooms being too hot. I understand that they have to comply with health department requirements, but for someone who specifically comes here for the traditional Korean sauna experience, this completely changes the experience for me. If I'm going to a sauna, I expect to sweat. The LA weather outside honestly feels hotter than some of the sauna rooms now. It's unfortunate because iSpa used to be worth the hour-plus drive for me, and I genuinely loved coming here. The atmosphere is still beautiful and unique, but without the heat I expect from a Korean sauna, I don't think I'll be making the drive back.

Very heavy, rough hands. I have fine hair and it was a lot of pulling. Massage was fine still very heavy handed and the position to sit in at the end was not comfortable, maybe because I'm a taller? I'm not sure. Not sure if they were having plumbing issues, but the water was cold the whole service. It warmed only slightly but not comfortable. What was most concerning was how tangled my hair was at the end. I have never seen my hair in such a knotted mess. Yes she was able to detangle, by pulling it apart and ripping the hair. The tangles were caused by poor products and shampoo technique. A good conditioner and proper rinsing would never leave my hair like that, the 90minite service was also supposed to include blowdry, I was told to pay $10 more. I will not be returning. I wish them luck and hope they can use this as a reference to make the experience better. There are MANY head spas in the area that take better care of the client for the same price.
