I just checked with Michigan roofing codes and there is no such change in layers. Double layer is acceptable in all Michigan cities. I also checked Go To Roofing for verbiage. Posted on their site shows they do double layer roofing. I don't like being conned. I believed rep as being trustworthy. I did have an option but it wasn't given to me. I called roofing due to possible leak in upstairs back bedroom.

Follow-up does not happen as promised. One morning prior to 7 a.m., I was awakened to the sound of my dogs barking insistently, only to find a truck full of building materials, and three strange men walking around my lawn. The owners son had forgotten to tell me materials would be delivered. The actual workers get 5 stars. The owner and son have earned one star. Thus, the average of 3 stars for this review. They were polite, timely, meticulously clean. They worked from sun up to sun down, barely taking any break. I have nothing but good things to say about them. I found the owners son to be quite difficult. This includes a remark that the son made about his (Mexican) workers that was quite derogatory and I was offended. After the work was completed, I had a gusher of a leak in the sunroom late one evening after the first rain. I called the next morning and was told they would come to repair the damages mid morning the following day. They failed to call or show up. I got up on a ladder and took photos, shocked by the sloppy workmanship I discovered. When I called the following day to inquire, I was rudely treated. I told the owner NOT to send the son back to my property. The following day the son arrived. I am now told that they have corrected the deficiencies, however I have zero confidence in these folks. I am considering paying a second company to do a full inspection to provide assurance that there are no more leaks and I will not have trouble down the road. Photos will be posted.

So about 9 years ago we had hansons install a new roof and gutters and paid over 16k. Even had a…read morelifetime warranty. We'll in August there was water leaking through the drywall in my garage. I called several companies and the recommended that I contact the original installer. Apparently the way the gutters downspouts were done and the flashing was incorrect and had been leaking for years damaging the structure under the drywall. Hansons sent a guynout who agreed that the gutters were installed incorrectly and that flashing wasn't installed as needed. He fixed the roof and gutters. However he said someone would call about repairing the structure. When I took down the drywall the structure was completely wet and rotted and ants were living in it. I remember telling the supervisor that that side of the roof inwas concerned with just because it was narrow. He assured me there would never be another problem. So it's been over a month and no one has called me about the structure. As you can see in the picture there will have to be structural repair. I have a lifetime warranty on the work done but not surenhow that helps at this point. Will try again to get a response from Hansons. Check out the pics! Well they actually called back. The manager who called wouldnt provide her name which I knew was not a good sign. She stated that I waited too long to file a claim against the warranty. I informed her that I couldnt see the damage and as soon as I saw water coming through the drywall that I took it down and saw this mess. She said that didnt matter and that their "Lifetime Warranty" didnt apply. She said that even if it was their fault due to bad workmanship I still needed to call my insurance company for any internal damage. We went back and forth with her talking over me constantly. So lesson learned is dont trust their LIFETIME WARRANTY it is not worth the paper it is written on. I now will file a complaint with the BBB and the State Attorney General. Watch out for Hansons slick ads!

We had our siding redone with Performance Roofing out of Ann Arbor in November of 2025. The…read moreinstaller left an insane amount of debris around my home; I still find nails and siding cuttings everywhere. He cursed and berated the people working with him to the point that he was left doing the siding job alone. I can't believe an installer would typically discard nails everywhere instead of putting them into a trash bag or receptacle. When the project was finished, they didn't have the right trim color for our windows, so they left it white--assuring us that in the spring, they wouldn't forget us and would send someone out to either paint or replace the white trim. Heading into October, almost an entire year later, despite emailing and asking them to fix the issue, they still haven't completed it. I would avoid and find another company to work with, we spent over $50k on this project.
