I brought my gf in to shoot a few handguns and AR's, she is very new at it. We waited about an hour for the range, which is fine, every other place was 3-4 hour wait. I've been shooting for a long time, and I'm comfortable with everything that I shoot. It's hard to translate my style to a newbie. The RSO came over and helped so much. Probably would have been a 5 but Barret working the range desk is a condescending tool with zero people skills to several people I saw there, (probably why his coworkers were rolling their eyes and making jerk off hand motions behind his back at him). I finished a class this weekend at Triple J Armory to learn how to use a pistol as I am a beginner. This class was so informative, easy to understand and taught me safety practices I will remember and use for a lifetime. Yoshi, the instructor, was patient, very thorough, and set the beginners at ease. The drills on the range were really helpful and I learned so much about myself and my ability to be able to safely use a pistol and increased my confidence. I will continue to practice at this facility as every staff member is ready to assist. Jen, at the front desk, is especially helpful and friendly. This place is so refreshing! It seems like a lot of big box stores and stores that think they are big are moving into the area, but these guys are quietly keeping one of the best damn shops in Colorado. They take trades and they make real deals. None of this get out a catalog and a calculator BS at the other shops. Heck, there's one shop I know that doesn't even want to talk about trade ins. These guys come up with something that's fair for everybody and that means they have a steady run of used pieces going through the shelves. I bought a brand new 1911 from them and it had an issue on the first day at the range. Anyone that has ever had to do warranty on a new anything knows that it is a huge hassle. I drove down there ready for a fight, a call to the manufacturer all the things I have dealt with before, but I didn't need to do any of it. They fixed it. Told me what went wrong. Got me a bottle of water and shook my hand. These guys are all damn rock stars. Start here first. Select them as your gun genie shop. Visit often and check the shelves. Bring your wallet. Found this place by chance. The FFL I used before closed up shop. I stopped by and Triple J was in the space now. There is another shop nearby that I used for AR parts and such that was also great but this place has their class III FFL too. So here I can get the guns at a good price, suppressors (ordered a few), a fantastic target gong (guns gong crazy), barrel threaded and my AR-15 with a custom paint job. Their prices are all very good - not just straight up MSRP like a lot of smaller shops. They are currently doing the custom paint job and it is amazing! They worked with me on a rather specific paint pattern and custom cut template. While not cheap, the price for the paint job is very fair, especially considering the fact it is 100% to my requests. I have gotten an email here or there with an update and text messages tonight with pictures of the work in progress to make sure it is coming out the way I want it to. They have been a little optimistic on the turn-around times but we're talking the paint job taking 3 weeks instead of the planned 2 1/2 weeks, and the gong took a little longer too, but not too bad. I also attribute this to some of the recent run-ups due to gun control legislation concerns and some changes to the suppressor laws that threw a lot of extra volume at them rather quickly. Absolutely fantastic shop. I'll update with the paint job pictures after its done but I'm very happy. Very impressed. read more

I have had two excellent experiences here. The staff and owners are helpful and NOT condescending or pretentious as with some private stores. They offer gun smithing and a deep knowledge of their products new and used. They will do some horse trading for products and will special order without the gouge. Turn around time for my custom fit bushing on my 1911 was less than a day. Smithing rates are $60/hr. I enjoy supporting people over corporate big box stores. For a novice shooter, I couldn't have found a better environment. Far from being "gun snobs," the JJJ staff is encouraging, helpful, and always ready to offer a tip to help me improve, or explain (without rolling their eyes) how things work and why. Saw the booth at the Tanner Gun show and inquired about potentially buying a Kel Tec KSG, and doing some upgrades on my current crop of firearms. Turns out, their store is about 5 minutes from my house, and one of my stores (yay). I brought in my ugly, black, plain Saiga AK to get a makeover. They went over every feature I wanted and showed be examples of guns for sale in the store. I ended up going with a new grip, adjustable stock, quad rail, and red dot. They also were able to do everything in FDE, giving the gun a two-tone look. Took only about 2 weeks to get all parts in and installed. They even painted, and then repainted the quad rail because JD found a drip mark. I left a happy camper, and cant wait until our first weekend out in the mountains. I have been dealing with these guys now for about 4 years and they have always been great to me. I have dealt with Jeremy and most of the other employees over the years and have sold them lots of my guns, done trades and even bought several new guns from them as I felt they have always been honest with me and given me good deals. That is until I went in last night, and met with Brian. I brought in my lightly used FNX 45 Tactical (desert tan) with a Trijicon RMR auto adjusting MOS red dot, and custom Kydex holster and mag holder. I have over $2,000 into the whole set up. When I brought it in there to see if he would do a trade for a $899 gun they had for sale he said he had to go in back and do some research on my gun. He came back and told me that my FNX and Trijicon are both outdated and both had been updated from my model and he would only offer me $600. WTH??? So I left there and went to 2 other gun stores in the area with my FNX in hand. Both stores I went to had these same Brand new FNX in stock and they both told me there is no change from what I had and what they are selling brand new for $1,395 (and $1,195 when on sale). Then I went home and went on both FN's website, and Trijicon's website and both my gun and RMR are both still sold exactly the same as what I have so I have no idea where Brian came up with this BS??!!. My FNX is still $1,395 on FN's website and Trijicon is $649 retail ( Trijicon's website), but I got mine for $549 at a gun store. I have $150 into my holster and mag holder and they have not been used. So that's $2094 plus tax I have into my set up so not sure how he came up with $600. I was offered $1,200 the prior weekend at the local gun show by 2 dealers and I held off because I wanted to see if I could get more online. With that said. I'm not sure if I would go back there again, as I feel like Brian was just trying to take advantage of me. I would guess that if I would take the $600 towards a trade I would go back there and see my gun and RMR being sold for much higher. I know they need to make money, but $600? Come on Brian. You just lost a great customer. read more
