I love guns and I always expect quality. My fiance decided that she was going to pay for me to get an AR pistol got my birthday.We looked around and ended up walking into Triple J Armory. From the moment we walked in every one was knowledgeable and welcoming. I told Jeremy what I wanted to buy and my budget. He explained that he could build me one from scratch. I again told him my budget and he said it wouldn't be a problem. I gave him my FUTURE vision for what I wanted the gun to eventually be when I got more cash and let him run with it. Relatively new to firearms in general-- spoke with the owner (I believe) via Facebook regarding my "wish list" for a handgun for personal protection/home defense-- I'm a lefty, and wanted something with a manual safety. The owner mentioned a few options and recommended I come in and check them out in-person. I was immediately greeted by Jesse (not sure on the spelling) and gave him the run-down. He was very engaged and showed me a variety of options, explaining the differences between each of them. I'd highly recommend Triple J based on this experience. I was just in there. 5:06 p.m. today. Normally you get greeted, nobody greeted, I said hello to the guy in the hat/ beard. I told him I wanted a new shotgun. He tells me he is putting something in the back and will be right with me, then he comes out and starts talking to a buddy of his that came in while I stood their for a few minutes, I then left to spend my money somewhere else. Friendly welcome when walking in and a clean and well laid out show room. They carry SilencerCo which is great and a number of different Magpul accessories. I was a little disappointed with their selection of firearms and lack variety of brands. Dont get me wrong... they have quite a volume of firearms in the showroom just not the variety I am used to seeing from a highly rated shop. The new guy who was friendly at first became pretty indifferent if not apathetic and stand offish as I asked a few more questions. Got the feeling that one might get at some gun stores where they are high and mighty. I was the only one in there at the time. They appear to do some great custom work as shown on their site and per other reviews, however, I didn't have that feeling when I left. read more

Was nervous about getting custom work done like a stipple job and cerakote but was definitely satisfied with how everything turned out! I wasn't exactly sure what stipple job I wanted to go with and they showed me different examples and spent time working with me to get exactly what I wanted. Terrible service. Lying employees. One of the owners was extremely rude and severely lacks any customer service skills. Never shop with this company if you can help it. They took my money and promised several things. They promised they would cerakote my pistol in the design I provided to them. Not only was it not done correctly, one of the owners was offended that I pointed it out. I point blank asked him if the job they did looks like the design in the picture several times. He avoided answering me directly each time and only said, "I think the artist did a great job". In other words, he refused to admit the truth. My pistol looked like a 12 year old took crayons to it. Very reluctantly, they agreed to try again. In the process, I was promised by the Ops Manager that it would be done in a few days. When I spoke to the owner later, he disagreed and said my pistol would go to the back of the line because there were other firearms in front of mine. What kind of "RIDICULOUS" logic is that? You have to be completely devoid of any sense of customer service skills to tell a customer, who's pistol you just screwed up, and was already supposed to be done right the first time, that their pistol is going to the back of the queue. I was shocked to hear this after the Ops Manager had already promised me it would be done much sooner. Let me get this straight, the upset customer, who's money you already have in full, who's pistol you screwed up, and was already supposed to be done is going to have his gun sent to the back of the line because there are other guns ahead of it? My gun, which was now over due because you did it wrong the first time and was already supposed to be done! This is how Triple J Armory does business and treats their customers? Oh, did I mention that this same owner told me that he didn't like my attitude? Right! As I was telling him that they didn't put the right scheme on my pistol and telling him that I was promised to have my gun back much sooner the second time, he told me I had a bad attitude because I was trying to hold them accountable to their word. They screw up my gun, then argue with me that it looked good enough, then put me to the back of the line and I'm the one with the attitude! Not only did this owner tell me I wasn't getting it in a few days, he gave me a specific date about two more weeks out, after having my gun for almost a month already the first time. To top it off, they were late, again, getting my gun to me by almost an additional two more weeks. Absolutely lousy service. Pathetic customer service! In the end, they finally got my gun to me. This owner guy didn't even want to talk with me anymore. Who would blame him? In fact, when I was speaking with him on the phone, when my pistol was finally done, very late past the due date I was given, I told him that I should be compensated for being treated so poorly for wanting my pistol done right and for being treated disrespectfully and for having my pistol given to me way past a second promised deadline. This owner, by the way his name is Jeremy, put me through to the other owner. Go figure! The second owner, I can't remember his name, was easier to speak with. He asked me to explain my situation, which I did. He asked me what I thought would be fair. Well, what I thought would be fair, after being treated with such malice, would have been a 100% refund, after my miserable experience. I didn't ask him for that. I told him that since he was asking me what I thought would be fair I thought a 50% discount would be fair. He completely disagreed. Yes, after asking the customer what they thought would be fair, and getting a reasonable offer under the circumstances, he tells me he disagrees. He offers me something cheesy or said I can buy merchandise at a discounted rate. There was literally nothing he had in his store that I even needed at the time, not even ammo. I reiterated that 50% would be fair. His reply was even more shocking. He said he couldn't do that because he had already paid the artist for his effort on my pistol. Stunned! Once again, another business owner who doesn't understand the meaning of customer service. I'm not some customer trying to mooch off of a business. In fact, nearly 100% of the time when I'm at a restaurant and I don't like my meal, as long at it wasn't messed up royally, I refuse to accept offers from the manager for a free meal. I always pay my way through life. I've come from very meager means. I served in the military10 years. I'm a war veteran. I mentioned this to the second owner as they claim to "support our veterans". What a bunch of bull. DO NOT shop or do business with these people. Many of my friends told me they wouldn't. Go somewhere else! read more

Took a rifle to have a paint job done to it and I didn't receive it back for over 3 weeks. Their custom guns look nice but the fact they say their chrome moly barrels are better than chrome line is a flat out lie. Chrome moly is the grade of steel is used while chrome lined is the lining in the barrel for longer barrel life. The feeding ramps in true milspec rifles have chrome lined feeding ramps to enhance reliability of the rifle. There so called mil spec barrels do not. The steel of the barrels are milspec but that's it. While I was looking at the rifle I counted 3 of their custom rifles come back in for feeding issues, hint on why chrome lined feed ramps are important. If you want a rifle to just shoot targets, then be put back into the safe then the rifle is fine, but if you get their custom rifle to defend your or your family life with, I would stay away and get a daniel defense, bravo company, or colt read more

My dad was in town for a couple weeks after not seeing him for over a year and we needed to sight in a couple 7MM Remington Magnums for an African Safari next summer. We had limited time to get both guns up and running and my gun had a bad scope and stripped screws in the rings so I was unable to change out the scope for a bigger long range scope. My dad had hand-loaded a bunch of rounds for us to shoot at the range and I was dead in the water. So, we took the 7MM to Triple J on Saturday afternoon about 3:30pm looking for a miracle. We met Jeremy the gunsmith and presented our problem. He took the gun and initially told me it would be ready by Wednesday. My dad and I went home and got ready for church at 5pm. Jeremy called me at 4:20pm that same day and told me the gun was ready. I was happily surprised. I told him that I'd be in at before their close time at 7pm to pick it up. When I met Jeremy at 6:30 he presented the gun to me, with perfect sight relief, new screws, the lower bases I needed and all ready to hit the range the next day. I was so relieved to have my gun back up and running and in such a quick turn around that I didn't know what to say. Jeremy simply said "You have a great dad! The gun is ready to go. Enjoy!" Thanks to Jeremy and his quick turn around and really caring about the fact that I was with my 80 year old dad preparing for an African Safari that we had both dreamed about and a gun that is going to do the job.
