They have really great coffee, I remember reading it was Mojo coffee from New Orleans (so maybe we do have a Tandem in NOLA afterall). The place is fun too, they have all kinds of board games and plenty of seating. It is a large quaint house-like establishment and has some outdoor seats as well. The place was really clean and the staff were all accommodating and friendly. One was so sorry they had just run out of the Dubai flavoring for the coffee, but it was ok. Then we shared the BBQ Shrimp (GF minus the Cornbread and French Bread), Gumbo, Shrimp & Corn Bisque (GF), and Wedge Salad (GF). The BBQ Shrimp were cooked just right and had a great sauce. The salad was a good size loaded with tomatoes, cheese, and bacon. Then I had a 14 oz Ribeye medium rare to accompany my Dirty Martini. The steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned nicely. My son enjoyed the BBQ Shrimp Pasta while my husband really liked his Etouffee Empanadas. The Blackened Scallops with Lobster Risotto looked delicious and my brother in law enjoyed it. My mother in law shared a few of the dozen Charbroiled Oysters she had for her entree. They were plump and juicy with great flavor. We ended the evening with Dragonfruit Sorbet, Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, Creme Brulee, and of course an Espresso Martini. They may have been a little overcooked which could have caused them to shrink, regardless, they should have either mentioned that the oysters are running small or not charge full price ($26). They tasted "ok", we've had better. We expect much more from a "Gallagher" restaurant. We will be back since we love the atmosphere and drinks, but we won't be getting the oysters!

After 15 minutes we get the wine. Again, it's maybe 2 tables of people. We get our 3rd appetizer over 60 minutes later. It's a Friday, there is a cover band and it got pretty crowded. My problem is, there were 2 people serving and one of the servers, our server, is now bartending! There were 2 other people when we got there, who I assumed were the owners. 2 people can not handle a Friday night crowd on their own. Service was sloooooow. Atmosphere and food were very good. There was a big crowd on this Friday lunch hour and the surroundings were noisy and bustling, but all proceeded without a hitch. I'm watching my calories at present, so I had the Chicken Paillard served with greens in vinaigrette and braised vegetables. It was excellent; succulent, tasty, and generously portioned. Our party of five had a variety of entrees, including fish tacos, southwestern salad, and chicken Caesar sandwich. All were enjoyed. Our little one had the fried shrimp off the kid's menu and thought it was very good. Bistro Byronz was a very good experience. We will return.
