I go here for the Mi Quang if I'm craving Vietnamese food in Cypress. Personally every time I go here the Pho is inconsistent so I never order it. My brother had the Pho Dac Biet with the huge bone in it. It looks really big and cool but as soon as he took his first bite he realized the bone was still frozen cold!! My mom and I found this place when we drove past it a couple of times, and I remember my grandma had mentioned it a couple of times. The service was slow, and the food was alright. I ordered a phở, and the broth was just okay but not bland. I saw that they also serve some boba tea, so I wanted to try it since I'm a huge boba fan. I tried the brown sugar fresh milk tea; this thick brown sugar syrup made the drink too sweet for my liking, so I had to stir it up to dilute the sugar a bit. Our typical place to get vermicelli bowls was already closing so we decided to try a new restaurant and I'm glad we did! Overall really good experience. We started with their pork spring rolls (sorry we were too eager and forgot to take a picture) and I was impressed. Some of the better ones in this area. The beef Banh Mi was decent. Personally I've had better sauces on my Banh Mi, and I thought it could have used more meat. The meat itself was full of flavor though so it has potential. Lastly the vermicelli bowl. I really enjoyed it. We added jalapeños and an egg roll to it and all together it was very tasty. I liked their fish sauce, and I enjoyed it being on a plate. I had a craving for a good banh mi sandwich today and so I decided to try somewhere I haven't been before. I did a little internet search and decided to go try out JB PHO & GRILL Our kids didn't sleep much last night so we both ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee (delicious). And we started with the shrimp and pork fried egg rolls. They came to the table piping hot and crispy with pickled carrots and dipping sauce. Then we both ordered a pork banh mi with a fried egg... it really hit the spot! Perfectly crispy yet not tough French bread, and juicy pork! You can see the sandwich dripping in one of my photos! We will be back as I think I have found my favorite local banh mi place, and bonus it's on my husband's route home from his office for take out. Ordered takeout from here this evening and was extremely underwhelmed. We eat pho regularly and I've never seen a setup look or taste like this. The meat for the spicy pho was discolored, and questionable (photo attached) and the chicken for the other pho was heavily marinated and potent in a very concerning way. None of this food looks or smells appetizing in the least and unfortunately won't be eaten. Super bummed by this since there are so many positive reviews for this establishment. read more

I really wanted to give them a high rating but the customer service is just not there. I used to come here all the time because they have decent bun bo hue. However, ever since they have the new waiter, the service has gone downhill. The first time I thought maybe because he's new. After the second and third time with same bad experience I stop coming back. For instance, one time we got seated way before 2 other customers but then he came to take their order first (seemed like they were friends) and he would just stay there to chat with them. The shrimp vermicelli bowl tasted like everywhere else. There was about a little bit over a half dozen shrimp. I like how it tasted fresh, some places precook their shrimp then cooking it again making it dry. I'd get this again. The sliced pork rice plate gave you a few pieces of pork and a massive amount of rice. Taste of the pork was very fatty. Barely any meat. It had a weird after taste that idk if I'd come back to. Not sweet but had a off taste to it. The bun bo hue was good. Not like two bowls, but for the area, not bad. I like the extra veggies they gave me and the fatty pork bone. If it were more tender, I'd come back. Ask for extra shrimp paste. It was lacking! Overall, a Vietnamese restaurant not too far from my home. A place that has potential. Service was good overall. this place is good , i've been a few times but today sadly i ordered my food and had to leave it there and cancel my order . i don't think it's sanitary to be taking a customers order with a snot bubble forming at the nostril from the waitress. I decided to order from Triple S on my DoorDash app because they make the wonton phò which is what my husband likes. The broth on the phò was quite salty. Nowhere near traditional broth. Everything else in the phò was fine, the veggies were fresh the meat was good. Just that broth kind of ruined the whole meal. My kids generally love phò, but this one was hard for them to finish. There were other items on their menu that look appealing, but after tasting the phò, I'm afraid to order anything else on the menu. This is one of the cleanest places I have had the pleasure of going to in a long time. The waitstaff is awesome and ready with excellent recommendations for whatever you're in the mood for. The pho is amazing, especially the filet mignon pho, and comes in a rich, well seasoned broth with a generous amount of both noodles and fresh herbs. The beef is so fresh and soft as velvet. The grilled chicken and rice plate is excellent, with a large portion of juicy chicken coated in glaze sitting beside a bed of crisp veggies and pickled veggies. The rice is perfectly cooked every time. Highest recommended dish would be the rock n roll beef and rice plate. Chunks of insanely flavorful beef that are so tender a newborn could chew through them, alongside fresh and pickled veggies and that perfectly steamed rice. Sprinkled throughout the beef are whole cloves of pan seared garlic and slices of thick cut jalapeno, taking this dish to a whole new level. This dish is best eaten slowly, to be able to savor the menagerie of phenomenal flavors and textures as long as possible. The tofu spring rolls and chicken spring rolls are great starters, never rubbery. It always feels like they have been rolled to-order, with the tofu and chicken still warm. The peanut sauce is decent, but feels like it's kinda missing something. Recommended on the side for everything is the green onion in broth/beef fat, which comes sizzling hot and ready to add a creamy luxuriousness to anything it goes on. On the sweeter side, try the strawberry lemonade! Freshly shaken when ordered and containing what feels like real strawberry puree, it's refreshing and delicious. They have an extensive beverage menu worth trying. Overall a fantastic experience every time we've come here, no exceptions, and another shout-out to the great staff! read more
