So...I tried the pizza and it was pretty unique. I know this is a popular spot originally out of Lawrence and Salisbury Beach and I think they opened another location in NH. For whatever reason I never tried it at the beach or here but I am glad I did finally. They said they opened this location because people in NA won't go to Law-Town anymore. I had 3 slices. Xtra cheese, Xtra pepperoni xtra cheese and xtra sausage xtra cheese. The crust was like a crusty filo dough or crunchy crossaint light and airy not heavy or dense as you would expect on a rectangle pizza slice. The sauce was the main difference tho. It was super sweet. It was too sweet for my taste yet I couldn't stop eating it. I balanced it out with some hot pepper flakes and black pepper tho and a pinch of salt. I didn't really like it but I guess I did. Its weird. Hard to explain. Will I be back? YUP! read more

*Beware savoury sauce lovers* This chain is known for its super sweet sauce. Thin crusty rectangular pizza. More sauce than cheese. Solid and very filling but not what I'm looking for in a pizza. The sweet after taste was a bit too much for my palate as someone who prefers savoury. They also offer desserts and baked good of various kinds. I tried the chocolate cupcake and it tasted like what you would buy at a supermarket- which isn't a bad thing necessarily but...you'd expect more. I only tried their bakery, twice. I didn't try their famed pizza or the raved Italian cookies in the other reviews. Both times the experience is just so so. The tiramisu roll was too sweet and creamy, it didn't really capture the essence of what a tiramisu should taste like, it resembled a coffee flavored swiss roll. The strawberry cream cake was better, moist and fluffy, but again, too sweet, the first few bites are great but by the end it was overwhelmingly sugarish. They are really very nice and attentive at their service but my experience so far is just A-OK. read more

I've already reviewed Tripoli. So unfortunately can't leave it the '5' stars I would today. I was out of town visiting a family member this afternoon... I'll admit that it's gone better. So on my return trip home I started thinking, Im kind of tired & really don't feel like cooking at all. I just want to go home & chill. Do I want Pizza? Chinese? And then it hit me : Tripoli Pizza is exactly what I crave right now! I pulled over, got on my phone & ordered a plain cheese pizza. Elated that it would only be a 15 minute wait... . When I got there the staff were their usual friendly, helpful selves. I can't help but think..... They are ALWAYS so happy & nice to the customers! Wow, it just makes everyone feel so good. Have you ever been like man I want pizza AND dessert? Well this place is what you have been dreaming about all your life! Left side is simple tasty pizza with one topping options. This bakery/pizza place looked quite inviting as soon as I stepped in. The cakes looked amazing! Went in here because I was craving bread cake and not the ice cream cake nonsense. Picked up a slice of the strawberry shortcake and a chocolate pastry. The chocolate one did not taste as good as I hoped it would. The icing on the cake tasted like straight up confectioner's sugar mixed with some cocoa. I heated it up later and had it with some milk after I got home and that made it better. The strawberry shortcake was SO good. It looked super pretty with two thick slices of vanilla cake, a layer of strawberry cream with pieces in the middle and vanilla icing on top. It was adorned with a HUGE strawberry half on top. If I go back I may try something new but will definitely get the shortcake again. They even make to order cannolis. Did not get any pizza, but it looked cleaner than a lot of other pizza places I've seen. They bring in huge pizzas and put on a table on their side of the counter. Wanted Scali bread and Thanksgiving cookies for my grandkids. Went to North Andover. The gingerbread cookies had frosting not icing, big mistake. The huge box the very cute gingerbread cookies were in slid all over all over the place even though they were flat in my car. The frosting got ruined. How can you give ruined turkey cookies to 3 and 6 year old? You can't they would be crying. Brought them back. I wanted my money back which was under $10.00. She said she would replace or give me a store credit. She was very curt and said she had to believe the incompetent person who boxed them. Did she ever hear of the customer being right? I ended up with a brownie and a tiramisu. Now I have to go somewhere else for a cute cookies for my grandkids. I have been going to Tripoli downtown Lawrence since I was 5 years old with my dad in the 1960's. I have never been treated so badly. The staff should be replaced, if they can do it. I love there Bread and the Pizza are so delicios there staff are very good traing they all are students. There is 2 locations, the one closer to my is located by route 114 and the other one is located it in Lawrence, MA. There bread are so great. Go early they do run out off breat fast. I wrote a review a couple years back and wanted to return to give mad props (again) to Tripoli for making my beautiful wedding cake! All my guests complimented it. We had a three tiered cake with lemon filling on one tier, strawberry on another, and strawberries and cream on the last. All super yummy and the texture was superb. I froze a slice for my husband and I to enjoy at our one year anniversary and it was damn delicious even a year later. Oh my God, I love Tripoli. We keep searching for a local pizza place to be regulars at, but this won't be it. We buy cakes & pastries from the Tripoli bakeries in Lawrence & North Andover (we live in Andover, close to both bakeries) for all of are our family's special occasions and work parties, ever since we moved to Andover 2 years ago. Their in-house baked pastries are delicious and fresh, their pizza is great, but what sets Tripoli apart from other bakeries, in my opinion, is their excellent customer service! Their staff is consistent friendly and very accommodating. The late hours of the North Andover site are a special bonus!! I work 45 minutes away and don't get out of work until the late evening, and it's so convenient to be able to pick up pastries, right on my way home on Rt 114, for work parties the following day!!! read more

I can't even tell you how happy I was when I found out that Tripoli's had opened a location in North Andover. I only get to come home a couple times a year, and it's always a hassle to either drive to the beach or to Lawrence just to get pizza. I came home with my future mother-in-law, Jane, a few weeks ago and I told my sister I wanted to take Jane to get square pizza. Sister started driving in the wrong direction and I asked where the hell we were going, and she told me there was a location in NA. I nearly made her crash the car because I got so excited. We each got a slice with extra cheese, obvs, and they got freshly filled cannolis with chocolate chips. I can't tell you how happy I was. I even ate part of my sister's piece that she didn't finish. What I wouldn't give to have some Tripoli's pizza in California right now... Also - staff was GREAT. Open until 11PM every night, and 1AM on Saturday makes it an easy and convenient place to get a sweet fix. The staff is really nice, the space is small but its more like a bakery then anything. We stopped in here on a whim a few nights ago. This location is right on 114 near the 125 bypass in North Andover. It has a parking lot making for easy parking. Walking in we were helped right away, we got 2 cupcakes, a peanut butter pie, whoopie pie, a lobster tail and cannolis. everything was pretty delicious, the Cannoli with vanilla filling and chocolate chips was one of the best I've ever had!! Best cannoli around! Cheap, too, compared to the stuff you find around Boston- $1 for mini and $2 for regular; toppings 25 cents. Plain shell with ricotta filling and chocolate chips, just do it. As long as you know what you are getting, there is nothing to complain about here. There are 2 sides here: bakery and pizza. The highlights are the cannolis and the plain cheese pizza. The service is great at this location. Keep in mind that the pizza is very odd. It's a square piece dough with a ton of *sweet* sauce and very little cheese. Holy-delicious-pizza! First time I enjoyed Tripoli pizza was in Hampton after a concert. Been hooked ever since. Luckily a new one graced my neighborhood in North Andover recently so now we can go any time! The pizza has a sweet sauce which is my favorite, the pizza is topped with shredded mozzarella. If you want to try something "wicked" tastey ask for extra cheese. Tripoli adds a slice of provolone. SO AMAZING! Located in the plaza with Starbucks and Fudruckers. Take my advice though - send your boyfriend or friend to pick it up because otherwise you'll wind up with a box of their super tastey cookies! read more

Everything that they sell here is delicious. Pizza or pastries -- you can't go wrong (Or both? I mean, you deserve it, right??). The North Andover location is in the same plaza as Fuddruckers, and I like it better than the one in Lawrence simply because they are open later (11pm weekdays, 1am weekends). The shop is nothing fancy (pizza-by-the-slice is served on paper plates) but who really cares when you bring home all of the best Italian cookies, cannolis, and cakes in the area. There are a few tables/chairs and countertop space, but this is generally a takeout place. They go the traditional Sicilian pizza route, with few options for toppings but lots of flavorful sauce that is not to be overshadowed by the cheese. But now, it is their cakes that I am in love with. Very moist and dense and perfectly layered under frosting that is not too sweet nor toothpaste-y. They do custom cakes for weddings, birthdays, etc., but I just come here to buy a slice of strawberry cake or a cupcake to eat guiltily on my drive home. Their selection of traditional Italian cookies contain everything you can imagine, and freshly filled cannolis to boot. Everytime I come in, I stand there for 10 minutes deciding what to get because it all looks so good! So many choices... one day I will have tried everything they have. Nestled behind the Fudruckers by Merrimack College, this spacious, clean bakery not only offers up delicious treats but also magically delicious pizza! The pizza is to die for..comes in atraditional Sicilian-style square slice but not quite as doughy as most in it's class; which makes it just right! And that sweet sauce..mmmm only thing comparable is the sauce from Little Italy in downtown Beverly, MA. TRY IT! read more

Tried their Tiramisu roll and brownie. Both together was for about 4.25. Good price for both of them. So, price wise its defn a plus. I saw people waiting to pick up their Pizza orders. My new favorite place! My buddy just moved down the street and I wanted to grab something for the Pat's preseason game. Pizza and dessert! I love their sweet square slices of pizza and the assortments of desserts are incredible. I am a fan!
