When I was first in communication with Christina, she explained the packages she offers and our needs were a little different, but she had no problem accommodating us and coming up with a package that fit our needs. She was a wonderful go-to person to have as the wedding approached and she was full of wonderful ideas! I would not hesitate; just hire her! She is very professional and was always very prompt with emails and phone calls. When we would have phone meetings to discuss details, I would never feel rushed and always felt relieved about the event after speaking with her. Prior to the event there is a google doc that Christina has you fill out so that she can have as much info about the event and create a timeline for your day. In addition to this, she makes sure that all the other vendors receive this so everyone is on the same page. This was not something I would have done on my own and this was something that really helped keep the event organized. 2 days before the wedding she came to my house and picked up the reception decor, this was huge! At that point I was totally overwhelmed and having the decor taken off my hands was amazing! After that, there was not much I had to worry about and after the ceremony arrived to a very beautifully decorated reception! She made the entire night go smoothly and I did not have to worry about anything! If anything went wrong, I have no idea because Christina was the eyes and ears of the event and really allowed me to relax and enjoy the evening. I remember at one point the DJ came up to me to ask a question and within a second Christina was there to help! She was on it! Not only is she extremely organized but she is so pleasant to work with. We attended one of the bridal events to try some food and nothing blew us away then but the food on the wedding day was amazing. If she missed my call she returned it within minutes. Things got hectic leading up to our wedding day, and we couldn't get all the minor details to her. She reassured me she would make everything look great, and that's exactly what she did! There was also another Courtney helping her the day of, and she was amazing too! My son wanted to sit with his cousins, but of course that day he changed his mind and wanted to sit with us at our sweetheart table. Really all we had to do was tell Jackie what we wanted, drop off all of our materials 2 days before, and leave it all up to her. She was professional, communicative, and caring. The one thing I REALLY appreciated out of Jackie, was that she was so lax on the day of our wedding. She ran things along so smoothly but also didn't keep us to a super tight schedule and let things run it's course naturally. Even though the reception seems long, it's a lot to fit in in a short amount of time but Jackie didn't rush us or make us feel like we needed to do things at the exact moment the timeline was laid out. I didn't once feel wound up and she made me feel super relaxed. She also decorated all of the tables beautifully and really put together what I had envisioned and planned for for months. It was executed perfectly and all of our guests kept complimenting the venue and decorations. She also packed up all of our stuff at the end of the night so we just had to hop into the limo. Jackie always checked in with me and made sure I was ok, hydrated and atleast ate something. She kept checking in on me like a big sister and it was so sincere. Early on in our engagement, my husband and I were ambivalent on the idea of hiring a wedding planner. We had already chosen several of our main vendors and thought we could save money and handle planning our wedding on our own but we were mistaken.  We were soon overwhelmed with all the details and started to have decision-making fatigue so we decided to look for a wedding planner. After quite a bit of research we chose Justina/JL Events and we are so grateful we did! Her services were definitely worth the investment. We highly recommend Justina for wedding planning and coordination. She is professional but personable, trustworthy, and very easy to work with. She had great communication from the start and all throughout the preparation for our big day; her responsiveness was amazing. During our first meeting, Justina quickly identified our needs and vision and created a detailed timeline for our wedding planning. She helped us narrow down design choices and accompanied us to meetings with vendors. We were impressed by her organization and proactive approach! Having Justina as our planner helped alleviate much of the stress that comes with planning a large wedding (we had about 260 guests.) There were several instances in which we were frustrated dealing with unresponsive vendors but Justina was great at facilitating communication and even helped us find better companies to work with. Justina helped us stay on track during rehearsal day and was an expert problem-solver. She coordinated with our vendors and the staff at Casa Real with ease and was patient with us and our large wedding entourage. On the day of our wedding, Justina and her assistant Dana took such great care of us and we were able to enjoy our wedding celebration! Both of us are extremely busy re: our jobs and knew that we wouldn't be able to dedicate enough time to truly planning an event of this scale. If you're on the fence, go with Amazae. My husband, before we hired Amazae, was on the fence of whether or not we needed planning services. I told him that if we did not hire someone that there would be no wedding. By the time we had finished our venue search, he knew that I was totally right re: the amount of help you get by leveraging someone else's expertise. You do this once (hopefully) in your life. Amazae does this all the time. Amazae knew all the ins and outs of every venue that we could possibly think of in the Bay Area, Carmel, and Napa. They were able to tell us who was beer and wine only, who had a 10pm end time because of noise ordinances, and who required you to use certain caterers that were $x per head. This will save you SO much time and save you visits to random places that don't meet your requirements. Vendor sourcing - they are super good at this re: figuring out (or making you figure out what you like) who matches your style for every vendor, then finding one that fits in your budget. Most importantly, they will make sure everyone shows up (join any wedding FB group and read some horror stories). They will help you with all of the contracting and the collection of COIs, etc. Again, this would have been IMPOSSIBLE for myself and my now husband. We literally do not have the hours in the day to do this. This team is on top of everything - they will chase you down if they need to for answers for pieces of your event. They can make anything happen - from the weirdest requests to the most mundane. They are so professional, and they really make your wedding super personal. Amazae designed and executed a beautiful event from beginning to end that felt so authentic to us. Day of, they were there to take care of everything, and it was truly a flawless day. We could not asked for a better planner re: Crystal, Kaila, and the rest of the team. We put full trust in them re: the design of this event and the day of. Example: I honestly did not know what florals were going to be there, but they were so stunning. The strength of the Amazae team is in their ability to bring you and your personality into an event that is mostly structured a certain way. They also make your day as stress-free as possible. I cannot say enough positive things about this team and their ability to make your wedding great. If you're down to hand things off to someone else, I would say hand it off to them. It will be better than what you could have come up with yourself.

Planning a wedding during a pandemic is hard, even a micro-wedding. You don't want to be cake…read moretasting or menu tasting, so you rely on experts. That's why we decided to hire an event planner for our daughter's wedding in January 2021. Even though it was a small backyard wedding, we wanted it to be memorable and elegant. We interviewed 3 different event planners, and got 3 rough quotes, all around the same ballpark. Amazae's quote, however, was the most detailed, breaking down a high & low range for each item (food, florals, rentals, photography, etc.) It was an easy choice to contract with them. Crystal came onsite for our first meeting, and I really didn't have a lot for her to go on. My daughter isn't the Pinterest type, so I just told Crystal the wedding colors and showed her pictures of the wedding gown and bridesmaid gowns. The rest of the planning was all done via zoom, emails, and a few phone calls. We worked mostly with Caitlin, who is an amazing planner. Each step along the way, she gave us several options to choose from. For example, she provided a list of 4 photographers, their quote for the day, their profile, their gallery, etc. Once all of our choices were made, she put together a design deck that gave us a preview of the entire wedding. It was more gorgeous than I envisioned. On the day of the wedding, Lisa came out to set everything up. She even picked up the florals and wedding cake to save us the delivery fees. It was a little hectic when I met her, and I probably spent 5 minutes with her showing her where everything was before we left for the church ceremony. And when we came back, she was driving off, leaving behind a magical transformation of yard. Everyone was stunned. The catering crew then took over and prepared a "Top Chef" level meal. And when they left, my kitchen was as clean as when they arrived. My husband commented, "Whatever we paid for this wedding, it was worth every penny." Haha. True.
