There are a huge perks in living here which include having the smart home as well as the Amazon hub that both Amazon UPS and FedEx all have access to use so your packages are always secure. The common hallways are often cleaned and maintained to make sure everyone's homes remain nice! Especially Marlen! now before I say anything further- no, I'm not being paid or incentivize in any way to leave this review. I just really appreciate her sincere devotion to customer/tenant service and improving the quality of our lives each day. Anytime I need anything, she is on top of it! Amazon misplaces my package? I reached out to Marlen and she responds and gets it resolved right away. Elevator broken? (which has happened a few times now), Marlen calls the service team and they repair it within a day or so. Neighbor's nasty dogs leaving crappy stains all over the carpet in the shared community hallways? I send Marlen a picture and she gets the carpet cleaning team out the very next day. The list goes on! This place is a bit pricey, but I can 100% say that it has been worth every penny that I've spent here. and I would know, I have moved once or more a year since I was a child, and this is the first time that I would actually WANT to stay somewhere more than a year! The views are spectacular, the amenities are amazing, and the staff are the icing on the cake! Also, don't let some of these other reviews sway you. I used to work in customer success, and I've learns that people tend to only leave reviews when they have a bad experience, and I'm quite certain that most of the people who have love here have had amazing experiences, but never take the time to come back and write about it. I moved into the canyon vista community today under very difficult personal circumstances. Jeslet Sotelo, was the leasing agent who helped me. She went WELL ABOVE AND BEYOND--truly. She was incredibly overbooked, due to a clerical error with her scheduling software, but still took the time to ensure my move-in process was smooth, efficient, and as stress-free as possible. I recently went through a life-altering event and needed a place to start fresh ASAP. Jeslet was not only knowledgeable and professional, but also empathetic and kind--something I CANT articulate in words how desperately I needed. Thanks to her, I was able to move in today and am now able to put in the work on my next chapter. She deserves recognition (and honestly, a raise). Thank you, Jeslet, for turning a tough day into a hopeful one. I only hope one day I can repay you with an outing to Rodizio, or at the very least a heart felt thank you the next time I pass by the leasing offices. Anyone considering this complex book a tour and request Jeslet, I promise you won't be disappointed!

Pros: 1) no smoking anywhere, they actually do something…read moreabout it if people are caught trying to smoke which is nice. 2) close to everything but still a really quiet neighborhood 3) gym is well maintained and usually available when I want to use it 4) pool is nice and well maintained 5) high ceilings help even the 1 bedroom apts seem much larger 6) appliances are nice & not the standard white cheap ones that most complexes have 7) patios with units are spacious for a table & chairs or small garden 8) built in shelving in bathrooms really helps as the units are lacking for storage see below. 9) washer and dryer in unit is nice and good quality 10) kitchen storage and pantry are more than adequate and well laid out. 11) island in the kitchen is a revelation, all apts should have this! It's also has a power jack in it, even more amazing. 12) they recycle here and provide the bin 13) the Internet is way fast, the tv package is stupid see below, however they don't make you buy a phone line with the pkg so that is great I know many other complexes do in their media pkgs and it makes no sense no one has landlines anymore. 14) security lighting at night is really good, out over parking structures a lot but main areas are well lit so you don't feel uncomfortable walking to the gym or mail. 15) the mail is pretty central to all units and very well lit so you can pick it up whenever which is nice Cons: 1) snow removal is slow, they do it but they're in no rush. They also stack snow in some of the parking stalls for guests which leads to.. 2) the parking is horrible especially in the winter, you get one spot with your unit, no one needs just one spot and so the guest parking is taken up with residents 2nd and 3rd cars, I've lived here a while and still never been contacted about an available spot to buy extra with my unit, been on the "list" for over a year requesting to lease another in addition to my one I already buy with my unit and none have come up. So it's even worse when the precious few spots available are then stacked full of snow in the winter. 3) pool hours are lame, like beyond short, pool is very nice but not accessible like most other places. 4) don't get a unit anywhere near the clubhouse on the south side lol the continuous beeping from what I imagine is a security system of some kind is so loud at night I'd rage if I lived over by there. You can hear it in the gym over the machines so there is no way the town homes on that side don't hear it all night. Lol glad I'm down away from it. 5) if you have a lot of stuff get more than a one bedroom. There is literally one coat closet. Tons of kitchen storage, but nothing else. They made a massive effort at shelving in the bedroom closet which sounds good in theory but they put the rods over one another in such a way it renders half the closet unusable. Solid effort, epic fail. One rod and leaving people to their own devices for hanging needs would have been much more appreciated. Unless your in to a hanging Tetris game this closet might totally be your jam. 6) the recycling pickup days are more like a suggestion than the rule, this has improved slightly while I've been here this last year but still it gets picked up on the days I put it out maybe every other time. If you don't mind your can on your doorstep for a couple days then this is minor, if it annoys you to come home on a scheduled pickup day to a full can, this will likely be an issue for you as that is often the case. 7) tv channels are lame in the required to buy package and way overpriced, there is no option to opt out of tv and just have internet which would be genius. The Internet is really good however. Fast always. Only goes down in the winter like once usually probably because everyone is indoors using it more and hogging signal. 8) wish the clubhouse had better availability for larger parties & hours that were more conducive to when residents would actually use it; i.e. When we all get home from work or school, which is when they're heading out and locking it up...lame.

The Ivy at Draper is a 55+ community. On the whole, they're average. However, elevators and…read moreautomatic doors have a tendency to malfunction, with long delays until the repairs are made, the norm. Because this is a 55+ community, there are a number of mobility challenged people. People with wheelchairs and/or scooters. Most of the building entrances do not have adjacent curb cutouts, or ramps. The only automatic doors, at the main entrance, have never been reliable, with the current malfunctions lasting over a week, with no end in sight. Sometimes, seniors need a little assistance. You'll get no assistance from the office staff, their consistent response being, "this is not a assisted care facility." I have lived here 6 years, and in that time, my lease renewal went up 30% for three of those years. This is especially aggravating, because the parent company, Greystar recently settled a price fixing lawsuit by the US Department of Justice, paying a large fine, none of which went to the residents/victims. The residents are nice people, but we're all trapped in a place that doesn't recognize the problems experienced by seniors in fixed incomes. We pay $150/month for a media package, but when we complain about service problems, the office response is, "contact the provider." Let's see, I pay $150/month for substandard performance, I'm not allowed to change providers, and "it's my problem?" Caveat Emptor!

The hot tub hasn't worked the entire time we've lived here. The pool is dirty and disgusting! The elevator is out of service often, and if you live on high floors you're climbing stairs!
