The soup was a little thin with a strange sour aftertaste, and the tofu pieces were very small, similar to the pre-packaged ones. It was complimentary, so I didn't really have any complaints, but it wasn't the perfect appetizer to start the meal. Sweet Thai Tea - I love it when places nail this classic drink. I was feeling a little tired today and (I know it's bad), but I needed the sugar pick-me-up. This definitely hit the spot. Eel Avocado Roll - I loved the flavor of this. These rolls are always inexpensive and still very delicious, making them an easy go-to whenever you don't know what to order. I also got this for my mom because she's a picky eater, and she had no issues with it. Salmon Tempura Roll - The salmon was cooked, which caught me off guard since I was expecting raw salmon. The tempura was a bit oily and took up too much of the roll, leaving the filling pretty sparse. Because the inside was fairly bland, the sourness of the rice became more noticeable. This ended up being one of my least favorite rolls. California Tempura Roll - I loved the presentation of this one. The slight sweetness was a pleasant surprise, and the filling itself was delicious. The downside was that there just wasn't much of it, so each bite felt less satisfying than I expected. The thicker tempura batter also made the roll feel increasingly oily the more I ate. One small thing I noticed was that they initially gave us very little pickled ginger. We asked for more, and they happily brought out a generous serving. I assume they keep the first portion small because not everyone eats it, but they're more than willing to give you extra if you ask. The atmosphere was pleasant, the music wasn't too loud, and the seats were cozy. Customer service was friendly, fast, and efficient. Overall, my favorite part of the meal was actually the Thai tea because it hit my sweet tooth. The sushi wasn't overly impressive, but it also wasn't underwhelming. Even California Tempura Roll, one of the pricier rolls we ordered, still felt a bit skimpy on the inside. The prices were reasonable, though I wouldn't have minded paying a little more for better flavor and more generous fillings.

The owners are highly engaged in ensuring that you have an exceptional dining experience. From the fun room with all the superheroes to the outside to the main room with all the TVs it's just a unique dining experience, no matter where you sit. The food is top-notch we took on the mixed grill and had a delightful dining experience with humus and baba ghanoush that you could eat with a spoon. The chicken kebab were delicious. Had a nice texture to him very flavorful and not overly spicy perfect for children. Their french fries are absolutely worth getting no matter what the dining choice. They are fresh cut cooked perfectly and have an absolutely delicious taste and crispness. I would get them as an appetizer all by themselves. We are definitely gonna become regulars here as the price point is not too high has to be cost prohibitive, except on the most rare of occasions, yet the dining is white tablecloth with appropriate level of elegance. They're only being open a year, they have it dialed in right.

Outside there were no heaters, so we wore our jackets to stay warm. The chairs to sit on were slightly uncomfortable & hard to move around. Anyhow, we got situated. We ordered the Fattoush Salad, Falafal wrap & cheese pizza with two toppings. The Fattoush salad was a lack luster, and could have been done better with some other toppings perhaps. Falafal wrap with fries was good, though the Masala fries lacked flavor, and were just like regular fries. The pizza was huge in size & great value for money lol. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with some hiccups.

Ambiance: Local wine bar in Katy with upscale modern decor featuring a nice bar and multiple…read morelounge/table options I would have loved to give Cork It 4 or 5 stars but the conversation I had with the bartender as I was closing out completely changed my entire experience. This is a nicely decorated bar with a decent wine menu, unique crafted cocktails, and well-displayed appetizers/boards. Great for a date night or individual hanging out at the bar. I run a local social club and we have a WhatsApp group where I shared Cork It and we decided to meetup here on a Tuesday evening. When I arrived at 6pm, there were only 4 people at the bar. We slowly had people from our group trickle in and I would say by 7-8pm, there were about 12 of us in total. We took up 4 of the tables, however there was still plenty of bar/lounge seating as well as a large table in the corner for other patrons. The service was incredibly slow. Took about 10 mins per person to place and receive a drink order, food took a significantly long time. From 6-8pm, I only had the chance to order one drink. Mind you, there were never more than 15-20 patrons at one time (including our group). None of us complained or were upset about the service/wait time. When I went to close out, the bartender complained to me about bringing in so many people and said I should have booked an event/party with them so they "could have been prepared." This wasn't a party or event I was hosting. This was quite literally 12 people who arrived at different times, sitting at open tables or the bar to socialize and order a drink/menu item. In this economy and with how much local places are struggling, I cannot imagine telling a customer they "brought in too much business." I was told Tuesdays are usually "dead." It seemed like she just didn't want to have to actually be busy for 2 hours. As a local community organizer/supporter, I cannot continue to support any place that complains about new customers. If they do not want groups, that's something that could have been shared as we started filling up their tables. Any bar that can't comfortably handle 15 patrons at a time is clearly inexperienced and not expecting to grow. To act like we overwhelmed them is wild. I would think the goal for any bar would be to have their tables taken up at prime dinner time.

I haven't been to this spot in years. I forgot how good this place was!…read more Music is always popping here. I came in on a Friday night, and they had a live DJ playing. The music is a mix of EDM, Hip-hop, Rap, and R&B. They have tables and bar top seating. If you have a bigger group, I'm sure you can find a table depending on the time you arrive. There is a lot of seating. To start off, I ordered the Matcha Martini. It was STRONG omg, definitely a sipper, but it was so good. It was creamy and had a good matcha flavor. I love how they added matcha powder on top. For drinks, I also tried their espresso martini and Bubbly Pineapple. The espressos here are good, no complaints. The Bubbly Pineapple is so cute; it comes out with a bubble of smoke you can pop. The drink is very refreshing; it really tastes like pineapple. FYI, the drink has little black seeds, so if you don't like textures in your drink, maybe this one isn't for you. Also the drink came with a little frozen pineapple you can add to your drink once you pop the bubble As an appetizer, I got a dozen raw oysters and decided to add the $5 tobiko (fish eggs). Let me say, they were not stingy with the Tobiko, there was so much on my Oysters, I mean a lot! The oysters were good, and so was the tobiko, but I feel that with so much tobiko, it kind of took away from the oysters. Still good though, especially for $21 for the dozen with the tobiko! It was very filling I'm not gonna lie, I got pretty full with the oysters, but I still had to eat my entree As an entree, I ordered the Short Ribs, which came with rice and a side salad. I didn't think I was going to eat much of my entree since the oysters had filled me up, but I ate the short ribs down to the bone! Every single one of those ribs I devoured, no meat was left on my plate. I didn't have space to eat, but my stomach made space for this. 10/10 would recommend the short ribs, especially with the delicious sauce it came with. I think it's like a fish sauce 10/10 for food and drinks. Bonus: the staff here is really friendly. I really enjoyed my time here. I need to come more often for sure, this is definitely a Katy gem

I'm just not ok with a dj who is being paid by the owner, telling folks or allowing the MC to tell folks in order to request a song, you gotta pay. If I chose to tip him, so be it, but being forced ain't cool. My biggest complaint was the price of everything. Now I'm a country chick and realize that prices are more expensive in the city. I was approached by the manager and I told her I needed a set up. She asked me what chasers I wanted and I said water and coke. I was charged separately for the water and coke that was supposed to be included in my set up.... so all together for a set up and a hookah, I paid over $60. I've never paid, IN HOUSTON, more than $10 for a set up and $35 for a hookah. Then they have small 4 oz paper cups to get the ice out with. After all this she attempted to charge me a bottle fee for each bottle I brought in. I sincerely think the young lady wasn't sure about what she was doing. Again she maintained her professionalism but she looked overwhelmed. Let's move on to those hookahs, the flavor lasted maybe 10-15 minutes and then the other lady who was helping refresh the coals was firmly pressing them down on the foil. I called her to the side and advised her that she was going to burn the shisha like that and sure enough my next puff was nothing but burnt shisha. They did replace it for free so I can't say much about that but overall....... The employees need training, I think they were overwhelmed and I think y'all were understaffed to serve the amount of people that accompanied this party... Great establishment Great employees Refine their skills and you'll be open a long time.
