Me encanta este lugar, auténtico sazón cubano, buenos precios y las porciones son buenas. Los especiales sudarios son excelente en precio y porciones. Lo recomiendo altamente. Los sábados a partir de la 8 pm tienen Karaoke.

I went there to have a quick bite at around 9pm after a long trip. Decided on a cuban sandwich with fries. While I waited for my food I noticed how dirty the place was. Food came out fast but the fries where in a plate full of oil and the sandwich smelled funny. I had a small bit but couldn't stomach it. The following day I was sick all morning. Never again.

Excellent restaurant with great service and great food. The food was nice and hot and everything was on point!!!

Great heartwarming Cuban food. They have all the classics. Prices were good. Restaurant is old and divided oddly, but does the job. Table service is slow, but you do have the buffet option, so choose that if you're on a time crunch.

So after a long day looking at the cows in front of my office (the famous Miami Lakes Cow Field) I was really hungry! It's located in a strip mall in East Hialeah, and especially now in times of the Rona it is not fancy. As it were, I think it's been open since 1982 so that counts as an institution. They have a cashier outside taking orders, and I went to lounge in my car listening to my Freestyle station (just like the old days). I had my delicious cow ready to enjoy about 15 minutes later, and went home. As with most local places, the "completa" has a YUGE bed of moros (black beans and rice). The moros had the perfect amount of grease without being soggy. I ordered both the maduro (fried sweet plantain) and the tostones, and also took my mom some croquetas (she said they were very tasty to mention on "El Yelp" :) The tostones had a good crisp and the maduros nice and sweet as well. My churrasco was thick and juicy, and the chimichurri (two packets) definitely had a little bit of a kick. I love it when places don't skimp on sauce! Besides the sweetness of the plantains, I enjoyed their flan of course. It was a little firmer than jiggly, and had the right amount of sweetness. During normal times, it's supposed to be open 24 hours. I can definitely see myself stopping by (well having my Uber) drop me off after coming from a nearby brewery or a quick dinner after work. I'm glad for the chance to support local business.

The mariquitas and the pan con bistec were great! Muy Rica comida. Tenemos que volver!

A living legend in Hialeah. Ambience literally looks like the Scarface movie. But the movie is delicious. The pan con bistec is amazing. So flavorful. The chicken milanesa can feed 2 villages. It's literally the largest chicken breast ever! The breading is light and had a nice thick slice of ham on it with the Marinera sauce. My husband talked about coming with his dad when he was a kid. The rest of the restaurant is a food by the pound place. You can literally get any Cuban food hot and ready.

This place never let me down when I am in need of some good Cuban food for a decent price. Even during this epidemic, they still are giving top service. I ordered the Tropical Sandwich which is a Cuban sandwich loaded with the works... sweet ham, pork, chorizo, bacon, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes. Did I mention that it came with 4 sandwiches and plantain chips( ordered the complete). I was only able to eat just one.. well worth the price!!

Tostones, Churassco, Pork with Some toasty bits. So good, and Moro (Rice and Beans)

This spot continues to be great for delicious Cuban food at great prices. They are following COVID-19 protocols and I felt very safe.

This place is divided into two sections; walk to your left to enter restaurant or stay to the right, choose what you want and take it to go.

La Casa Del Churrasco! The House of Skirt Steaks! I've never had their CHURRASCO but will definitely consider it the next time I visit. This restaurant is open 24/7! There's two areas to the restaurant; you can sit down and eat (waiter/waitress will attend your table) or you can just walk down the take-out isles, choose your protein and two sides. They have side salads available (I've only seen two options; small chicken breast salad and avocado salad. Normally the folks that come to this restaurant will choose a protein, choose rice as their first side (moro, congri, white, or yellow rice, then choose a second side which is usually fried sweet plantains (maduro). If you don't speak Spanish you will have a hard time communicating with the Cuban women that work here. I'm pretty sure no one within the walls of this restaurant speak English. This is a Cuban restaurant/food by the pound joint therefore all the workers are typically Cuban. They have plenty of desserts ready to go for your sweet tooth. The food here is always fresh and delicious. There's plenty of parking inside the shopping center where the restaurant is located. There's even more parking available after hours because it's the only 24/7 spot within the shopping center (although I think there's a nearby laundromat that might be open late as well). I usually go for the healthier options instead of the deep fried food items. I've never eaten in the sit down section of the restaurant. I normally grab my food to go when I visit this restaurant. Again, they're open 24/7 so Taco Bell will never be an option for fourth meal (ok, there's nothing wrong with a Steak Quesadilla, Chalupa, Cheesy Gordita Crunch, or even a Doritos Locos Taco every once in a while for fourth meal). I personally have never had a bad experience here. I'm very straight to the point and the workers here sense that. I'm in and out and the service they provide allows me to do just that. Will continue to visit this restaurant for a quick bite (even during late night hours or should I say early morning hours of the day). Thanks "La Casa Del Churrasco" for being open at all hours of the day and providing the City of Hialeah good food at affordable prices.

20 years ago I would come here to eat with my family for a quick lunch, but after a few years we felt it went downhill a bit. Recently, the guy I was dating took me for an "after club meal" & it's perfect for it. We had a Cuban sandwich & the pan con bistec. Don't expect 5-star service, the servers ask for your order & just leave. They don't check in after they take your food. But for 3am, I didn't really care for all that anyways.

I haven't even tried the sandwiches yet, but every time I look around, somebody has one, so clearly they know something I don't! The whole experience is what makes this place special though. Live music, great drinks that actually have FLAVOR, generous portions, and such a fun atmosphere. I love sitting outside in the back with the fans going and the band playing. For a minute, you really feel like you've been transported somewhere else and you forget you're sitting in the middle of Miami. The service is quick and gets the job done, but I HAVE to shout out the man running the front! I don't know his name, but if you've been here on a busy weekend, you know EXACTLY who I'm talking about. Phone, walkie talkie, iPad, reservations, people everywhere... and somehow he's running the whole circus like a boss! Shoutout to the bartenders, cooks & servers too because everybody back there is WORKING! Old's Havana is already a tourist favorite, but coming from a local, I'd eat here every other day if I could. Come experience the sounds, energy & flavors of Little Havana for yourself! And when you sit down and start looking at that menu... remember this review. GET. THE. CHICKEN!!! For an appetizer, we got a sampler which had ropa vieja, plantains, empanadas, shredded pork, and some large fried potatoes. I loved that so you get to try a little bit of everything. The ropa vieja tasted just like grandmas. They use ropa vieja as the filling in the empanadas. The fried potato's was steak fry cut style. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I was even fine with being charged more than the usual kids price but I was refused that option as well. This was extremely infuriating and all I was able to eat were side dishes. The beans and rice and mashed potatoes also tasted stale and were expensive for no reason. The servers and managers were not accommodating to me whatsoever and didn't even try to offer me alternatives or take my suggestions. and I was humiliated and frustrated and overcharged and still left hungry by the end. Our favorite time to visit is Sunday brunch, especially since they have a special menu. We recently came for Father's Day, and even though Julio was celebrating as a father himself, he was working incredibly hard to make sure every guest had a great experience. You can really see how much heart and dedication he pours into his business. As expected on Father's Day, there was a bit of a wait, especially since we were a larger party, but none of us minded. To thank us for our patience, Julio generously brought out croquetas for the table on the house, which was such a thoughtful gesture. I can't recommend Trigo Café enough. The food is consistently excellent, the service is warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere feels like home. While brunch is our favorite, their lunch and dinner are just as great, and the new tapas and wine area they recently added is a fantastic addition. If you haven't been, you're missing out!
