Great spot full of Cuban nostalgia! They have live music in the back courtyard during certain times so a great place to hangout with friends. The food took a little longer than usual but it's because everything is made FRESH so, worth the wait.

The place is very eclectic with exaggerated cubanaso things on display! If you are Cuban ,whether from the island or brought up by Cuban parents ,many things will make you chuckle! If you are not Cuban ,you may get a negative impression about us Cubans because some things are a little over the top "chusma" or can be perceived in a negative way. I noticed some vulgarities that were in old pictures have been changed.. there are political pictures and obvious snubs against Religion I could have done without ,but I took it for what it was and had a fun time with my mom, and got a picture of her sticking her tongue out at Fidel Castro on an electric chair! The food was pretty good and a the servers were friendly !

If you were looking to visit a place with fabulous Cuban food, and numerous views depicting some of the struggles of the Cuban community, look no further than this restaurant. The young lady that manages this business Alexa is vibrant and full of energy. The young ladies that work here also as waitresses, hustle and have wonderful demeanors. If you're in the area, please give this ecliptic place an opportunity as I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

Had passed by this restaurant a few times and finally decided to try. This restaurant is a cuban fusion and what attracts the eye the most are all the items they have in display outside. I thought the restaurant was fully outdoors but they actually have an indoor area with ac and it was perfect with it being such a hot day. Started off with an appetizer that had a mix of different bites and of course had to get a jupiña. As the entree we had the vaca frita with rice which was very flavorful. Had the pan con bistec which the bread was extremely soft and the steak was perfectly cooked. Also had the skirt steak with arroz morro, ordered the steak medium well and it seemed to be undercooked. Had to send it back and still it wasn't done too well. Finished off with a cheese flan which was okay and a small colada that definitely needed some sugar. The waitress was very helpful and kindly assisted us with our concerns.

Amazing place to throw your party! We had a great time and it everyone loved it. Shout out to Alexa for great communication up to the party and to Elietty and Lorena for the great service! Would absolutely recommend!

This is a cool spot to go to if you're a tourist and not from here. Although the food is just okay it definitely has a very miami vibe to it. The food was just okay. I wouldn't recommend the ribs or the pan con bistec. The mariquitas had a different kind of garlic sauce that was amazing. Also the chicharron was perfect. Not too greasy and not too dry. But the batido de banana (banana shake) was delicious. Unfortunately there were a lot of flies fighting me for my food. The vibe is probably the only reason I'd come back. Very kid friendly momentos to keep em busy while you wait for your food. I went at 1:30pm on a Saturday it was 79 degrees out. I was worried about the outdoor seating but with the fans the temperature was tolerable. I took a yeti cup with my own drink to keep me cool and the staff was fine with it. They also had live music to add to the Miami vibe. Ultimately, I may come back and try something different. Like I said before the food was just okay but I liked the vibe. Worth trying at least once.

Food was delicious! Fair price. Ambiance is nice & homey! Love my culture! All the details in the decor are awesome! Only 2 down sides is 1. They're short on staff. 2. They don't serve beer, wine or liquor.

Benn Jamá is a restaurant with a blast enriched with Cuban culture and vibe. Everything from entrance to exit screams Cuba. The menu portion to price is excellent. They have all sorts of different shakes that are native to Cuban culture and also regular fruit shakes as well. There is no vegan menu here but they will accommodate you with a side salad and fries. We ordered the chicken sandwich and pollo a la plancha with arroz Moro y maduros. Chicken was well cooked and so was the sandwich which in between Cuban bread.

The place was empty at that time, the waitress gave us a small table, table for 2, and the place was empty. We ask to be moved to a different one. She replied the place is full and we need each table for the right amount of people. 5 minutes went by and a party of 3 was given a table next to us, and that table is for 4. The irony is, we did ask the same waitress( it seems like she is a trainee) to seat us at that table and she refused and she refused to put an additional chair for us to use to put my wife and my mother bag, since the table was very small for a party of 3. And I will ask the owner to use cameras and be the judge your self. We were there to have fun, to see the zafiros band and of course to eat good food and have nice drinks. The food took for ever to arrive and we had the wrong croketas. And God is our witness the food was 0/10 in favor and on a top of that was burned. They all taste the same. We waited about 50 minutes trying to get the waitress attention to order the main dish and another drink. And I had to go to the bar and get the drink my self and I exchanged few words with two ladies seated at the bar thinking one of them was the owner( use your cameras to validate my story please). We decide to leave the disastrous place. I asked to have the bill at 10:05 and the bill was handed to me at 10:30 and I have to go to the front to pay and the waitress couldn't do it and called the cook to came out of the kitchen to collect the bull( Mr owner once again use your cameras to validate my story). When I was about to leave the place, at 10:36 that's when the show was about to start. And my understanding the show is suppose to start at 09:00. Mr owner I suggest that you really work on time management, improve the service( because your service is a disaster) and please improve the quality of the food. Our experience at your place was a pure disaster , the worst ever I have seen. And trust me, we really tried to have patience and consideration with the trainee waitress. We will never go back to that place. It's a shame, because the place looks very nice.

You can't spend two weeks in Miami and leave without eating a Cuban sandwich. It would feel like…read morevisiting Philadelphia without trying a cheesesteak or New Orleans without ordering gumbo. Fortunately, a coworker pointed me toward Latin American Grill in Miami Lakes, just a few minutes from our hotel. It turned out to be exactly the sendoff I was hoping for. We started with the Sopa de Pollo, a bowl that made it immediately clear this kitchen isn't interested in shortcuts. Large chunks of chicken, tender vegetables, and noodles floated in a broth with remarkable depth. It wasn't simply chicken soup, it was the kind of soup that makes you wonder why every other version tastes so timid. A squeeze of fresh lime added just enough brightness to wake up every spoonful without distracting from the richness of the broth. Then came the reason for the visit. The Medianoche. I've always preferred the sweeter cousin of the traditional Cuban sandwich, and Latin American Grill makes a terrific one. Thick slices of ham and juicy mojo pork were layered with Swiss cheese, mustard, and pickles before being pressed between soft, sweet bread until the outside turned beautifully crisp. Every ingredient had a purpose. The pork brought richness, the ham added salt, the mustard and pickles cut through the fat with welcome acidity, and the sweet bread tied everything together. It's one of those sandwiches that reminds you how satisfying simplicity can be when every component is done well. Sometimes the best restaurant recommendations don't come from guidebooks or social media. They come from someone who simply says, "You should eat here." In this case, they were absolutely right. A great Cuban sandwich doesn't need reinvention. It just needs great ingredients, careful execution, and a hot press. Latin American Grill delivers all three.
