The worker made both in one blender and right then I knew it was not going to be good. So half way thru she pours out the contents into one cup and then adds more water to the remaining one and reblends it. So as you can imagine the first one got all the actual flavor. The second one was basically ice flavored water. For as expensive as they are, there's no excuse for this. If this was my first time having a smoothie from here, I'd never come back. Walked in, saw 3 employees sitting around enjoying their time together, but nobody acknowledged me. There was a sign that said they were not taking orders inside at the moment so I turned around and walked out. That's not a big deal but it would make more sense to post it on the front door so I wouldn't have bothered walking inside. I even went back and scanned the front door/windows to make sure I didn't miss it... Nope, nothing's posted. There *is* a light up sign that says "Drive Thru Open", but I didn't take that to imply the dining room was closed. Oh well. I sat in my car in the parking lot, ordered online and then drove through to pick my order up. Everything was as ordered, and delicious, but I hate styrofoam so I limit my trips to Tropical Smoothie. This was not our favorite location. I do love the peanut butter cup. The kids like the jetty punch, Bahama mama, and sunrise sunset. I love the large portions, and I think this place may be a better value than Beyond. But, the complaint from the household was that the smoothies were too watery. That means perhaps they made the drinks with too much ice and not enough of the appropriate product/ ingredients. While we will still frequent Tropical Cafes, the kids may not want to return to this location, because while the prices of the smoothies are decent compared to other places, if the flavor is not there, there are other places to go to get a good smoothie. read more

When I got there, the staff told me that they did not have the açaí bowls available which I ordered and paid for online. She could not offer a refund unless I called the following day to speak to a manager. She was extremely rude and confrontational along with the skinny tall guy who was preparing drinks. As I was waiting to speak to someone about the issue, the staff kept ignoring me and filling other orders. There was no regard that I drove all the way there for an order that I already paid for. This is an updated review because as we have continued to stop in, service has greatly improved and alternate items have been introduced to us. At our last visit, a gentleman working overheard us discussing the lower calorie options and he offered alternate ways to lower the calories in other menu items. (Ie, remove the turbinado from the Sunrise smoothie and the calories drop below the Detox smoothie). This increased our options and will increase our visits as well. read more

They had me working nonstop, if I wanted to take a break everyone made me feel bad about it, my coworkers and manager was rude. My manager played favorites. She's make me work 3 jobs at once which was way too much on me physically and detrimental to my physical health but let others work 1/2 of a job because they're lazy. She didn't like me because I stood up for myself. I confronted her and coworkers that refused to do their job and tried to walk all over me, and they were talking shit about me in the same room as me. Bought the cheese quesadilla and a pumpkin pie smoothie. The Smoothie did taste good. I would not say it made me feel good after eating it. It was not health food as they might want you to believe. OMG I can't compliment this place enough! Ive been to this location, more times than I can count and every time has been awesome! Great smoothies, delicious food and unbelievable customer service. I had an issue 1 time and I filled out their online survey. During my survey, I was able to mention my issue (sandwiches made incorrectly) Not only did I get an email from the owner, but they replaced my food with no hassle.
