Very slow service. I'm first in line waiting and when somoen comes to the 2nd cashier box they take thrle person behind me because they are standing in front of that register. It's been a while since I've been at a tropical Smoothie, not sure if it's how this one tools or they all changed policy in substitutions. But where previously there was no charge to substitute now they charge a $1 per substitution (not adding, just substituting). Which would be disappointing but I can accept it if they tell you there is a charge. when I first got there the line was very long in the drive through so I went inside. I started ordering and I said a plain cheese quesadilla WITH salsa. They are already supposed to give salsa but they are forgetful sometimes so I make sure to remind them. I also order a pomegrante plunge without strawberries and bananas and come time to make my smoothie they have a girl walk over saying they are unable to make it. This place used to be so good! The last few times have been disappointing. Stopped by last week to get a Turkey Bacon Sandwich and this is what I ended up with after waiting 20 min in line. A sandwich missing the bacon and tomatoes and looked like it was tossed up. The turkey that is only a slice looked microwaved and old, the sandwich looked so unappetizing. This was $11!! I turned around to get a refund after driving half way home already and opening my bag of chips, the girl still had the audacity to not refund my chips after I wasted my time and gas. Well this morning is my first time going to this location or any location in Idaho. I used to go when I lived in Las Vegas...8 years ago! I got a T-Mobile coupon and went here. Pulled up to the window and sat for about five minutes making a decision and loading the app. Up. The lady who refused to give her name told me the coupon couldn't be used unless it was Tuesday. I tried to explain asked for a manager she said she was the manager etc. 3 minutes go by and she finally asks for a code and I try to give it to her by the number but she wanted to scan so I pull up to the window. She makes us wait for about five more minutes before scanning the code and says we still owe money because she can only accept one code. Former employee. For a first time job, consider somewhere else. $12.00 + tips*. Management is non-existent and staff are treated like property. Card tips are nice. Evenly split between everyone working through the day. Cash tips on the other hand are used to cover tills. Tills were used by everyone through the day, and would regularly reach $7-$15 low. This would come directly out of cash tips, so you're not really tipping, you're covering a business expense. Most other businesses write this off as an expense, and will investigate if the till is regularly low. Not tropical smoothie. I would only recommend a job here if you can't get a job anywhere else. read more

We put in an online order at home instead of sitting in the drive up line thinking that the time would be cut in half a bit. Wrong. When I walked in to the shop to pick up, I could hear laughing in the back area but not much happening in the front. The worst customer service I have ever encountered. We used the drive through today and they ended up forgetting a wrap. When I called the manager stated they could refund me, or I could have the sandwich remade but I would need to come all the way back in for the wrap. After driving all the way to my house in Kuna. The staff inside were less then professional and friendly. This is not the first time I've had issues at this store. Once I finally got my order it was incorrect and the smoothie was about 1/2 inch from the top - so definitely not what I paid for. This spot is conveniently located right next to my gym, and has been a lifesaver several times during this hot summer. I've only used the drive thru service, which has always been super quick. I like that they just have one size, it makes everything easier and quicker. I'm working my way they the menu, and have only found one flavor, the mocha smoothie, that I didn't like (it's extremely sweet). Inside is still closed at times forcing everyone through an inefficient and massively slow drive through line. I waited 25 minutes in the drive through today for a quesadilla and two smoothies. Had there been an exit (stuck between cars with no lane) I would have left. And this has been the case the last 3 times I've been here over the past couple months. 15-20 min wait for a smoothie and a sandwich is dumb. Indigo and I were in search of a pick me up and a green smoothie sounded like just the thing. We've never been here and were impressed immediately by the changing table in the clean bathroom. We ordered after rearranging the chairs (Indigos specialty), followed by more rearranging until we received our smoothies. I got the island green and Indy got the Jetty Jr. I was pleasantly surprised at how they weren't overly sweet. I'll have to ask for no added sugar (if possible) next time because I forgot to this time. Of all the times ive ordered tropical smoothie cafe from door dash or went through the drive through, I'd say i was totally happy 25% of the time. I usually order a quesadilla but the salsa is almost always forgotten. On door dash it specifically asks if you want it, and i always do because its great! My most recent order, i paid extra for bacon to be added to my sons grilled cheese and there wasn't any. As for the smoothies, they are never properly blended. Its really frustrating trying drink a bunch of ice through a straw that wont fit or big pieces of dates. Seems like problems that could be fixed relatively easily. Those that follow me know that I don't like to go to the same place twice (to eat) unless it's really good. Well, although I like the food, I think that I will stop in here often as my go-to place for a comforting albeit healthy drink! They even have a drive-thru for convenience. Located on the corner of Overland and Maple Grove, I am nearby there often as I frequent Crunch Fitness across the street. TSC is located in a small strip mall with AYCE Sushi, a loan place, and an urgent care center. Parking can be very difficult-- be aware of that. Walking in, space seems to be very large, but really it's just a long hallway and a small kitchen and dining space; however, they make the most of the space. The colors are vibrant, music was a good even tone, and the temperature seemed to be on the cold side to me, which I didn't like, but others may. The options are plenty! There is a nutritional face sheet that is readily available and it tells you how many calories and carbs when you substitute Splenda, which at times raises that calorie content because they are made all natural. There are other options like you can get at other juice places such as protein. They serve food, too! I got a Baja bowl with no rice. It had chicken, black beans, veggies and more. The sauce was a little too spicy for my belly, so I asked for a side of ranch--good ranch! My dining companion got the same thing but in a wrap. The wrap was held together tightly in the tortilla, making it easy to eat. You can get a side with your meal such as baked chips, or fresh fruit (you pick from: apple, orange, or banana. Total for the bowl, the side, and a smoothie was only $9.99 and a smoothie usually is $6 in and of itself at other places. The service was great. The first time I went I got a young lady who made a great suggestion of Detox Island green (200 calories when made with Splenda/180 without--this one is more healthy without Splenda) and I liked it. The second time I visited, I was helped by one of the managers and he was very nice and helpful and helped me understand the process and the menu more. This time I tried Sunrise Sunset (140 calories when made with Splenda, 36 carbs with 7 dietary fiber= 29 net carbs, and a whopping 15g of protein). Well, thanks for reading! I'm in town for work and looked up local spots for breakfast and this place came up. Normally I'd go straight for a smoothie but since I had a coffee I decided to try the Peanut Butter crunch flatbread. It has peanut butter, granola, bananas and honey. Sounds good right? It's interesting... I think the only thing they did wrong is GRILLED the flatbread. It definitely has a taste that would go with some sort of meat but it doesn't really work for breakfast. Think smokey bbq flavor bread mixed with the filling listed above. It's edible but strange... I will say the prices seem reasonable especially for the smoothies.
