We were looking for a late night snack and saw this spot was open on DoorDash, so we gave it a shot. We ordered five birria tacos and some consomé We're literally still eating and I said I need to write this review right now. These tacos were packed with meat. They did not skimp at all. Tons of cilantro and onions too, which made them even better. Easy 12/10. Would absolutely order again.

Why have I taken so long to try this place? The service was great and employess very knoweldgable about the food. The decour was spacious and mariachi music blastin on the speakers was a good touch. They did not dissapoint and I will say its cuz of the consome! It was really flavorful with the right amount of salt and balanced really well. Their tacos were filled with meet and oozing cheese. They use corn tortillas and soaked them in the consume before grilling to perfection. Definitely get the tacos! Every time. I also tried their birria ramen. The noodles left a ton of room to be desired(they reminded me of Maruchans) but they loaded it up with beef and all that tasty consome as the broth. With that price point, y'all gotta step up the noodles! With that said, if on this side of town, this is legit birria and worth the stop!

I follow this guy on Tik Tok who's goal was to try tacos from all 50 states. Garnacha Que Apapacha was on his list. He tired it and gave them a high score. My friend also highly recommend this joint so of course we had to try it out today. Who doesn't want birria tacos on Valentines day? I remember when this venue opened up back in the early 2K. It's been several different restaurants and it's cool that this joint is filling this space. Walking in it's very colorful and fun. You got music going, people eating and chatting. It has a pretty cool and chilll vibe. I usually order one quesabirria taco and a smaller street taco. It's more than enough for me. Unfortunately this joint doesn't have the smaller tacos so I got two quesabirria tacos. And of course I needed the bottle of Mexican Coca Cola to go with my tacos. They have quite a few Jarrito options. That will be a must for my next visit. I headed to the salsa bar and grabbed some green salsa. You can also grab your utensils, napkins and water there as well. Everything was nicely placed and organized. Our buzzers went off to grab our goodies and boy, they looked so good on the tray! The consomé was pipping hot in the container. The tacos were golden with charred bits of cheese. There was fresh cilantro, lime and onion that you can add to your taco. Everything looked fresh! I squeezed a good amount of lime onto the taco. Added the onion and cilantro. I needed the whole experience. Dipped that baby into the consomé. Wooooooowwww. It was so good! The cheese pull was fantastic. The meat was tender. The lime added such a nice freshness to the taco. The consomé was salty and added a nice addition to the taco. It was absolutely delicious! I was only able to finish one. They are loaded with birria. I didn't end up using any of the green salsa. Everything was so flavorful that it didn't need the extra sauce. If you're looking for a hella good quesabirria taco, Garnacha Que Apapacha is the joint you need to hit up! You won't be disappointed.

Really wanted to like this spot for birria, right at Regal Theaters. But just not great. Found hair in food too. Ick.

Super tasty and great atmosphere. The ramen was HUGE ! We got a choco flan , homemade horchata , ramen and a quesadilla and it was about $46 .. a bit pricey in my opinion but the flavor was 100% there !

Love the interior! The artwork is fun.

I'm so happy I can finally check this place off! I've been wanting to try "the best birria in the Treasure Valley" for years now. This is comfort food! My husband and I enjoyed 2 Quesabirria Tacos ($4.99 each) and the Birria Burrito ($16.85) with consome ($1.75 for 8 oz). The prices seem a little steep, but you sure get what you pay for. Our tacos and burrito were loaded with juicy, tender meat and plenty of cheese. There's so much flavor in each bite. I think they did excellent with the spices. I also loved the giant slices of grilled onions. Both items were delicious, but the tacos are the real showstopper. They've got all the taste and goodness the burrito had but with a nice, crispy crunch that really made the meal! My only point of criticism is the extra charge for consome. It's cheap, but I've never had to pay extra so it surprised me. IMO, you need it for the full, delicious experience. I got lucky and noticed last minute that it was an optional side order, otherwise I would have completely missed out on it. I'd suggest building it into the prices of the meals. I'd say yes, give this place a try! I've already got my eyes on that PizzaBirria for my next visit.

Two quesobirria tacos, no consume. They did not need to get dipped after I stuffed them.

I had high expectations coming here, what with all the hype. Garnacha Que Apapacha exceeded their fanfare. Two quesobirria tacos, no consume. They did not need to get dipped after I stuffed them with the cebolla, cilantro and fried onions. These tacos are not street tacos. They are huge and full of stuff. $5 each seems a little steep, but not after trying to pick one up to eat it. I am still looking for more places who serve quesobirria tacos. Comparison to places I have already reviewed, makes this the top pick so far. Decent parking and lots of room in their dining area and patio.

#12 it was 13.25$ and could only eat half of it! it's like a mexican style french dip

fire #12 on the menu, cheap and a large serving great to hit before or after the movies (:

Had the quesdabirria taco (2) but could have gone 1. Fabulous and perfect for the red, green, or consome or all at once. Partner had the birria burrito which I tasted. One of the top burritos I have had. This place is a keeper

This place is honestly the best place to come and get Birria tacos. Today, I also ordered the chocoflan, and the chocolate cake was moist and good. The flan part was absolutely delicious. I had to order a full one for a party I have coming up. The server is always great they greet you with a smile and are always happy to see customers come in, especially when they are returning customers. The spot is very open, with lots of available sitting. I can't wait for the summer to be able to sit outside and enjoy Birria tacos. Today, my kid ordered the burrito to go. I will post a picture as soon as she lets me lol. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of food and price of this great establishment.

Love garnacha's new location! Went for burritos after a movie the other week and did not leave disappointed. The burrito was huge and was enough for two meals. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant and how much fun stuff there is to look at on the walls.

Two Birra tacos. One with and one without cheese

They serve only beef in tacos. This place would be more popular if they add chicken, pork and shrimp in menu.

The menu has a few things you can order from burritos, tacos, tortas and other fun items. We ordered a Carne Asada Burrito and it has rice, beans, meat of choice & lettuce and avocado it was pretty good. We got some tacos as well and not sure if she mixed up another ordered but we were short 3 tacos on our order and that was a bummer.. I was really looking forward to them. Their asada, carnitas, el pastor were all really good and authentic flavor and loved that the pastor had the pineapple chunks as well. One thing I did dislike was I asked about chips order and it said $5 when I asked her if I can just have a couple, she was a bit confused and asked the lead there. Apparently they didn't have chips in their truck and had to go find them. That should have been my no thank you but I figured ohh let's give them a try. Once we got to our house and saw the $5 chips I was honestly a bit upset they were store bought nacho chips. Tacos are $2.50 I don't understand why chips are $5 and they aren't even like your traditional Mexican chips or something along those lines. That was my only downfall to this place but those are just chips. Their food was honestly good no doubt about it when we were ordering they had a few people eating there and a few to go orders. Maybe take them off the menu or make little baggies and purchase chips from a Mexican store or make your own tostadas..

This may be a solid option for Boise, but in my personal opinion on being a foodie, this is possible for tacos. I ordered the chicken, steak (asada), and pork (carnitas). They all came out individually in little paper boats, which was cool. The flavor were decent, but I wouldn't say authentic. They did not serve rice there. I did order chips and salsa. I was disappointed that the salsa looks like Pace Picante. Service was excellent and the place was clean. Atmosphere & Community Impact The vibe at this Broadway Ave location is undeniably cool. The industrial, "sticker-covered warehouse" aesthetic feels authentic to the local scene, and the outdoor covered patio is a major highlight. On a nice evening, the rustic charcoal fire pit adds a great communal warmth that makes you want to linger with friends. A particularly unique touch is the collection of military patches displayed along the bar area, which adds a personal, respectful character to the space. However, I found it quite surprising that while the decor clearly honors the military, they do not currently offer a standard military or veteran discount. For a place that wears its support on its sleeve, it felt like a bit of a disconnect for us vets. The Tacos: A Deep Dive We sampled a wide variety from the menu, and here is how they stacked up: #5 Picadillo ($3.00): Our absolute favorite. The spicy ground beef was perfectly balanced with soft potatoes and green chilis. It had a "home-cooked" depth of flavor that really stood out--I'd come back just for a tray of these. #7 Beef Fajita ($3.50): A very close second. The grilled steak had a nice spicy kick and was topped with well-charred onions and fresh cilantro. The meat quality was excellent. #1 Pulled Pork ($3.00): This taco was "not bad," but the ratio felt a bit off. The pickled red onions, while bright and fresh, were a little overpowering and tended to mask the flavor of the shredded pork and cotija cheese. #14 Baja Shrimp ($3.50): Unfortunately, this was the low point of the meal. While the chile lime batter sounded promising, the shrimp itself was significantly overcooked and tough. It was difficult to chew, and I ultimately couldn't finish it. Overall Verdict Tin Roof Tacos offers great value and a fantastic casual environment. If you stick to the beef options--especially that Picadillo--you're in for a treat. I'll likely skip the seafood next time, but the atmosphere and beef tacos are enough to earn a return visit.

The azada in the enchilada was the same used in the street taco, so it was really good. But then generic enchalada sauce, basic refried beans, and rice that was so dry there were crunchies - but not like the good, flavorful, caramelized paella crunchy. Asked the manager if they made the tomals because it was a way different beef flavor, and she insisted "yes." She was very disengaged, but at least I saw someone in the dining room cleaning the tables. Second meal was a pork tomal and lingua enchilada with beans and rice. Pork was better than the beef. There were a couple bites of the lingua that seemed... a little off, like it was old. Same beans, but at least the rice this time wasn't as dehydrated.
