Thankfully I did, as it was very busy with people waiting inside. There is limited inside table seating available if you want to eat in. The bowl in itself had a good flavor. Had to run a few errands yesterday and didn't eat before heading out. Decided to stop by Tropical Smoothie to grab something for me and my kids. I being more selective about what I eat so I choose the Chia Pudding bowl. For my son I got the buffalo chicken wrap and a smoothie for my daughter. It was my first time trying the chia bowl and it was really good. The customer service here is lacking. I stood at the register for a long time with employees present and no one acknowledged me. On 2/21/25, around 8:40am, I decided to stop in to grab a bowl before I went to work. I walked up to the counter, no other customer was in there besides me. A young lady with braids was behind the counter working the blenders. No greeting from her, no coming to take an order from me nothing. She kept doing whatever she was doing with the blenders. I stand at the counter for a little over 5 minutes with STILL no greeting or order taken and a man walks in and up to the counter. Another lady comes from out of the back and greets the man, no one still came to me whatsoever to take my order. So, I walked out. You won't be getting any further business from myself. Only stopped her to pick up my free smoothie from my T-Mobile Tuesday offer. I wanted a strawberry and mango smoothie. They don't offer that combination. The crazy thing is they minus the bananas from what they do offer and charged me fifty cents. Makes no sense at all. This location is much slower than the others I have been to. They are also not the friendliest bunch. They rarely acknowledge you when you come walk through the door. A lot of the staff appears to be really young, so the service may be suffering because of this. This location may make yo consider hiring some older employees to balance things out. I highly suggest placing your order online rather than ordering in store. Even with doing that, you probably will still have to wait. Plus, you receive reward points by ordering via the app and if you're anything like me, you love free discounts!! Tropical smoothie is a bit on the pricer side, so those coupons definitely come in handy. Minus the mediocre service, the food and smoothies are good. My favorite smoothie is the blueberry bliss. All of the food is good, I especially like the quesadilla and the wraps and bowls. Hopefully this location improves its service(they haven't been open too long), because it is only five minutes away from my home and is most convenient. Fingers crossed! read more

My sincerest apology for this lengthy review, but the manager at tis location angered me to this point! I hope no one ever have to deal with her lying ass! This location is close to my residence, and I, personally stopped patronizing it soon after it opened. However, I will be sure that none of the baseball parents at my son school never, ever, ever patronize this establishment again either, and I will be dam sure to let them know how disrespectful and ignorant this manager was. Had I known earlier that this was where the parent would be ordering his snack from I would've intervened. After my son baseball practice today, a parent ordered my kid a snack from this place. The parent knowing that my kid loves fruit ordered him a acai bowl, which was great, however, thinking she would make his treat a little special, she added some Nutella drizzle. Thank God I caught the mistake before it was in my kid presence, as he is highly allergic to nuts. So, I go in to cancel and get the refund ( $21.49) because the app tells you to go to the store, and the disrespectful Muslim manager tries to get loud in front of everyone and tells me she can't do a refund. She LIED and said because it was already prepared, and I said "no it isn't, or it would be here" pointing to the place where the online orders are kept. She then said I couldn't have a refund because they don't give refunds. She angered me to the point that I snatched my receipt out of her hand and left the store. I totally and completely understand why the reviews are HORRIBLE at this location, it's very clear! This location has been problematic since opening. It's never welcoming, but always cold as ice when it comes to the service. I completely knew she was lying when she said the food was already made because I was in line the entire time, as I was in the parking lot when the order was placed sitting in my car right next to the parent's car who placed the order. The order was not prepared, I was in the line standing where the online orders are placed and there was no orders there. In fact, she looked around to see if the order was being prepared and it was not, she then tendered the cash register to get the receipt; apparently thinking she was dealing with an unintelligent human being like herself, apparently! Nothing could be further from the truth! The thing is she was caught in a big dam LIE, and to save face she almost got more than she bargained for. This location has never been a pleasant place to visit, and today's incident has proved it only has gotten worse. I will never patronize an establishment who treats their customers this way, lying is one thing, but coupling that with being rude and ignorant is definitely behavior that I will not tolerate, and I don't give a rats ass what your culture is. Holy diabetes Batman! I finally had a chance to try one of the smoothies this morning. The Mocha Madness sounded like a good way to kickstart the day with coffee & chocolate. Little did I know that it was going to be *SO SWEET*. I also added coconut, which I suspect was just syrup, because there were no noticeable coconut shreds or chunks in the smoothie. Both the chocolate & coconut tasted fairly artificial as well. Not only was it fairly unpleasant tasting, but it's probably super-unhealthy too. I wasn't able to finish it. read more

This employee refused to wear gloves as she prepared the smoothies. I had to bring it to the attention of another employee since she acted like she didn't hear me. When she finally looked my way I told her she should be wearing gloves & she turned around & continued making smoothies without putting on gloves. I was outdone. Her behavior was extremely rude and disrespectful. Poor customer service is an understatement. In this climate of Covid food establishments are struggling to remain open. It only takes one bad apple to shut the whole operation down. Food safety & customer consideration is the least a patron can expect. While visiting this location, i was helped by the kindest and most upbeat person! Normally when i come to fast food joints, i don't expect anything other than a normal interaction, but my visit to this location was so pleasant i felt the need to write a review about it! I can not quite remember the lovely ladies name who helped me, just that it started with a Z and that she had the most fun style of makeup! She was eager to help me decide which smoothie i would like best, and made me feel as if my questions and choice mattered! st had the worst experience at this location. I order my food then was going to pay with 100$ bill Keyonna the manager said we can't take it I'm like okay. While Keyonna the manager taking my money she was very rude and unprofessional. Come to figure out she the manager I wait for my food Keyonna then gave my son and I our smoothie that was fine. The employee Jada then gave us our wraps and chips. We seat down and eat inside I took one bite and it was totally nasty I went up to the counter and told Jada. Jada then went to the back to tell Keyonna, Keyonna then told Jada that She can make something else for me. It was so nasty it left a bad taste in my mouth the shrimp taste half done and sauce was extremely old. I told Jada that I do not want anything else. Jada then went to back to tell Keyonna and told her I will like to talk to her about the food and refund. Keyonna looked me in my face and told me if your son like it then it's maybe me and told me I can not get a refund. Remind you they took the food back Keyonna then went in the back a left me at the counter no refund or food I asked Jada plenty of times so this is your Manager and she's not going to fix this this issue, Jada said I wish I can refund you but only Keyonna can. Jada then said you can call corporate office in which I filed my complaint and the store manager that isomer Keyonna will be calling me back. I am so upset at the services that was given I recorded the whole situation. Keyonna should not be a manager for attitude is not good for business. Me leaving that location without food or a refund only a smoothie is very upsetting in which I feel like Keyonna stole my money. Happy Hump day folks! So I'm back with a review of the @tropicalsmoothiecafe on 40 West here in Baltimore! The first time I went I got their Chipotle Chicken Club flatbread, chips, and their Orange Ginger Glow smoothie all for $10.48! There wasn't much chicken in my flatbread but the overall flavor was on point. The smoothie they give you are huge! I like the Orange Glow smoothie a lot. It wasn't artificially sweet like the ones I get from Jamba Juice, and they taste more natural too. The second time I went I tried their Santa Fe Chicken Quesadilla and their Acai Berry Boost smoothie. Like the flatbread, the flavor was on point but they were stingy with the chicken. I actually like the Acai Berry Boost smoothie ( acai, pomegranate, banana, blueberries and strawberries) better than the Orange glow but they both get thumbs up from me. My only issue with the smoothies are the cups they use. They are ultra flimsy, so you really need to be careful how you hold them. Outside of that, I really like TSC! I go to this tropical smoothie a lot and normally the service is never great but it is satisfactory. Today I ordered a jerk chicken wrap and it was terrible. I honestly couldn't tell if the chicken was undercooked or over cooked. My friend who picked the meal up for me called to let them know and we were told it's impossible for the meat to be under or over cooked because it's pre-packaged and all they do is warm it up. The explanation didn't make sense to me at all. Their smoothies are ok but I would avoid getting food from here.. read more

Ordered through the app. Cashier was unfriendly, the service was slow (I stood in line to ask about my smoothies), my smoothies were just sitting on a shelf, unrefrigerated, and were more like a juice than a smoothie by the time I got them.
