I was pleasantly surprised with Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I really wasn't expecting much and I was super happy with the results. I ordered a sunrise sunset smoothie and a chicken caesar wrap and both were truly excellent. The menu is on the back wall and I do wish that it had the ingredients laid out, or something that I could hold that told me the ingredients so I could pull things out that I didn't want, but they are willing to take the time to let you know what's in everything. I also had a side of kale apple salad thingy - it was awesome. I'm not sure why I got it, but I'm glad I did. Prices are great too! Came in here to try a "healthy" smoothie. I had the girl write down what was in it, as we track our macros and needed to be sure we entered properly. The smoothie was over 150 carbs, due to the fact that they add sugar to the already sweet smoothie. I ordered the chia banana, and added peanut butter. She forgot to add chia. Mainly because I really don't need to order any of the other ones, it is my absolute favorite go-to drink. I've even tried making it at home... and I would much rather order it here. The food, for me, is a hit or miss. I'm not a huge chicken fan, and most of their lunch meals include chicken. My boyfriend has had it, and loves it. Their breakfast foods though... I'm in love with. I'm going to say "a-okay" 3 stars. There was three of us and so we tried three things. Two out of three were so so, but the winner was the Cuban sandwich (my item). So two out of three in my book doesn't really cut it. I'm not really into smoothies either, so no points, plus or minus, for that from me. I woke up craving healthiness so we decided to try out this place. We ordered an Island Green, Jetty Punch and and a vitamin C smoothie for kids. We also had the Cuban sandwich, a chicken bacon club and kids cheese quesadillas. I have the worlds pickiest eater for a daughter and she loved everything! The Cuban sandwich was so good, the meat was tender and flavorful. The chicken bacon club was fulfilling and the smoothies were the perfect blend with our meal. I love that you are able to choose between chips, fruit or kale apple sauce. The staff was extremely nice and patient, answering all of our questions regarding popular and favorite smoothies. Staff was notified about a severe peanut allergy when ordering and they acknowledged it. While driving away I took a sip and noted there was a peanut taste. I immediately spat it out but it was enough to trigger my allergy and the use of medication, albeit not anaphylactic. Upon returning to the store, they admitted they used a blender that had been used to make a peanut butter smoothie and had not washed it. I LOVE this place. My husband and I were hanging out at home when I decided I wanted a smoothie. I'm really weary about random smoothie chains such as Smoothie King. My fear stems from being food poisoned by Jamba Juice once upon a time. Anywho - we've driven by this spot a few times before but I never wanted to stop by. I searched on my phone for smoothies and was pleasantly surprised to see how high the reviews were. I told my husband and he picked me up a Peaches n Silk smoothie and a buffalo chicken wrap. My first indicator that it was delicious, my husband texted me saying it was. My second indicator that it was delicious, was when he handed me the cup and a good amount of my smoothie was gone. The buffalo chicken wrap was also delicious, a little too heavy on ranch, which I don't like, but besides that it was mouth-watering. We split the buffalo chicken wrap because we just wanted a small snack, and immediately I wish we had ordered another. Overall, I've been here a few times now myself and have loved each time. I enjoyed the turkey apple sandwich. Great flavor, bread was super fresh and the balance between the apple crunch and moist turkey was awesome. My wife enjoyed turkey bacon ranch on ciabatta bread and couldn't stop praising it. There's a small kids menu to select from a few basic sandwiches. For a small up charge you can also order a kids smoothie, which is nice. The shop is brand new. It's a little small- not a ton of seating inside (and nothing outside if I recall) but you can always take your food to go. There are no fountain drinks- only bottled sodas and water. My fiancé went on a business trip to Florida and raved about Tropical Smoothie, so I was shocked that we had locations in North Texas and I hadn't heard of them. What I don't understand is how on earth Fort Worth has 2 locations and Dallas only has 1 and there are no locations in between. Ugh...but luckily for me this one is somewhat close to my work so I have been a few times. The food and smoothies are wonderful, but I wouldn't go so far as to call this place healthy. If you're getting an Island Green Detox or Totally Green smoothie I would consider that healthy. Make sure you look at the rest of the menu and nutrition info closely because the choices are as healthy as you make them. If you're not careful you can get a 1000 calorie "healthy" meal here. But it will be tasty! The restaurant is bright and clean. You can order online for pick up. You get a huge smoothie for about $5 and it tastes much better than Smoothie King's powdered tasting drinks. My favorites are the Island Green if I'm keeping it light or the Avocalada, Bahama Mama, Peaches N Silk if I'm throwing my day out the window. 5 stars for yummy food, 4 stars for being in Fort Worth and not in Arlington...or Euless....or Irving...or Grapevine...I hope someone who wants to open a franchise gets my hints. You know they're building that new shopping center in Euless...it would be so nice to get a smoothie after the gym and give Smoothie King a run for their money...just a suggestion from a frequent customer. read more

Wow, This place is amazing. I couldn't decide between fast food and multiple options of places to eat surrounding this location. I was sitting in the parking lot looking up food options on Yelp when I noticed car after car park & go in. So in I went. The orders moved very quick. I asked the lady for her recommendations on the chicken bacon flatbread, chicken & cheese quesadilla and the maui tai smoothie. Everything was A1. The chicken was very fresh, the Sussex they used were original and had great taste. The salsa with the quesadillas was awesome with a hint of spice. I am truly impressed. The smoothie tasted perfect. It had a great even blend. I didn't taste to much of any ingredient. It tasted like very well put together. The staff was very friendly and polite. I am so please with this business I'm sad that this is the only location. I would definitely jump into a franchise with them. Smoothies alone are a consistent business for them the food takes them over the top. The restaurant was very clean and nicely put together. This place I would compare to pita put but even better.
