They had some amazing well made thick smoothies under $5. All the smoothies were 24 oz sizes and made fresh with each order. They also had a limited but quality selection of sandwiches, wraps and tacos, which were also made fresh instead of premade and sitting around. I suggest getting a combo deal since it was a way better value. The best combo deals were "a half sandwich with any full size smoothie for $7" or "any full size smoothie for $3.50 when added to a full sandwich order". I do not know if the combos offers will change but thus far it is an amazing deal :-) The smoothies by themselves could be a meal and well worth the price. The cafe is compact but very clean and the staff was very professional and friendly. I went in one morning to get a smoothie. As I was walking in I saw what I believe was the general manager was being very rude to costumers... including me. I asked for her name she told me "Sasha". I didnt believe her since she was so rude. So I asked another employee and they told me her name was actually sherlyn... I asked for the costumer service number and she just pointed to a piece of paper on a board. I will never come back here again and also she reprimanded her employee for them given her actual name and was cussing at them while in the back. Ordered not even 10 mins ago and they forgot my drink. I didn't get a receipt, so they apparently couldn't find it in the computer. They didn't even try to be helpful and had me repurchase my drink. This location did a terrible job with our order. We had trouble understanding the cashier. Also instead of being helpful when we didn't have the right name of the salad I was seeking, she just gave us a hard time and wasn't any help trying to figure out which one I wanted. They gave my husband the wrong sandwich and, to top it off, instead of salad dressing with my Asian chicken salad, they gave me barbecue sauce. I can't help but think that might have been on purpose. Tropical smoothie has decent prices, and excellent smoothies and food. If you have never been to this place before, all of the smoothies comes with turbinado(sugar) that equates to 2 cups of sugar, you can substitute it with splenda or, I always get mine without any sugar or sugar substitute. My favorite food is the chicken ceaser wrap for lunch and the PB banana flatbread for breakfast. Additionally, when you purchase a lunch meal, you get the option of chips or fresh fruit and I love how I am able to have choice! This location can get pretty busy so if you are in a rush, you may want to order online or call ahead. The management has gotten way better compared to when they first opened and I am happy to see that improvement. You are greeted by the workers when you come in as well. Yes the smoothies are good but the customer service isn't at all. I'm all about customer service but when I had a issue with the taste of a smoothie they weren't willing to replace the smoothie and every time I come in they have some issue. Best place to stop at after hitting the gym, games or practice...they have great calorie cutting options for their smoothies and they taste great. The options are endless and the price is better than other smoothie places in the area. And they use whole ingredients in their smoothies, none of that fake powder stuff or scooping from a bucket processed mystery junk! This Tropical Smoothie Cafe' location is AMAZING! If you haven't tried it yet, than you are missing out. The Food and Smoothies taste great and everything is made fresh as you order. They have many options to choose from and you can even make modifications or customize to your liking or dietary needs. The staff and managers are professional, nice and very helpful and BTW this place is super clean. I even sat down to enjoy my food and smoothie and I noticed that they greet everyone who comes through the door. You can feel the love and pride each time the door opens and closes. First time going to Tropical Smoothie cafe. It was a busy Sunday so took a bit of time to order and receive order. Every staff member was working quickly to get customers served. Got a Avocolado smoothie with a scoop of probiotic added. It's dairy free (yeah) since I can't handle lactose. Pretty good and my friend liked it as well. Plenty for 2 meals, wish they had a smaller size. They need to figure out a better line system. Not a lot of room for people standing in line especially when someone had to get by. read more

Love this place! The workers are always so courteous and polite. I noticed the owner has learned the regular customers by name. I was pleasantly surprised by this. I always usually get the island green with Splenda or detox green and they are both delicious. I absolutely love the Thai chicken wrap and the salad of the same although I prefer the wrap. I normally love this Tropical Smoothie Café; I have been going there since it opened. But the other day I had a really bad experience. The cashier was not friendly and seemed to be rushing me to place my order. I tried to ignore him and proceeded to place my order. I ordered my normal Tropicolada with no banana and add sweetener. The total came to $6.03. Once I received my drink I noticed that is was not full (a little less than 4/5 full). I told the young man that it was short and the mean cashier replied that the reason because I took away the banana. I told him that I ALWAYS get the same drink and it has NEVER been this short before. A woman, who I found out later was the owner, asked was there a problem and I told her the same thing. She too said that it was not going to be full because I did not get banana. She asked if I wanted her to make it again and I decline because I was already irritated at their attitudes. I walked out of the store and once I got to my car I tasted the drink. It did not even have the extra sweetener I paid extra for. I decided to go back in the store and ask that my drink be remade. When I walked in the door the mean cashier looked at me and just stood (doing nothing) leaving me to wait at the register. I was patient and once the owner came back I asked her can I have a new one because it was not sweet and also because it was short can some extra ice be added. She said what does extra ice have to do with it being sweet. I just asked her can she make me another one please. The mean cashier then came up with extra attitude and but the owner said she would handle it. She began to do something at the register and gave me my money back. I told her I did not want my money back I want another smoothie. She got kinda smart and said "I asked you did you want me to make you another one" and I said " yes you did and I declined until I got to my car and tasted it to find out it was not sweet." She said something else after that but I was just too annoyed to even be bothered anymore. I just said thanks and walked out of the store. It made me sad that a black business owner treated me in such a way. It seemed like everyone in the cafe had an attitude. All I wanted was good service. Why would she even think that was okay to serve a customer a drink that was not full to the top. I love Tropical Smoothie but I will never visit this particular store again. read more

Let me start by saying I love the food. However, this location has the worst customer service I ever ever experienced. I didn't complain the first time but it seems to be a trend with the lady that works the cashier. Today, I received my order and it was wrong. I pointed to the bag and told her I received the wrong item. She immediately yelled (I mean yelled) that if I touched the bag they couldn't fix my order. I told her to that i hadn't touched the bag. It was just a bag of chips, so if someone could just hand me the chips I could go. She continued to yell at me that the order I got was the order I got even though it was wrong. The other gentlemen attempted to hand me the chips but she told them no and to take my order and go. She was rude from the start for no reason. Generally, nobody in the store is ever overly friendly but after the second encounter with the extremely rude cashier, I will never be back and be sure to spread the word to others. read more

I was so excited to try this cafe for the first time. My kids loved their smoothies and quesadillas, and my husband said his chicken wrap was "ok." I ordered the veggie hummus bowl based on the beautiful picture on the wall that showed a bowl of kale and other dark green leaves, and a huge scoop of hummus. My actual bowl was filled with shredded iceberg lettuce, about a teaspoon of hummus and no asaparagus as shown in the picture and listed in the description. My son wanted to try some of my other son's smoothie and since he had a cold, we asked for an extra cup. We were told that we had to pay extra for a small styrofoam cup!? I'm sure this is a company policy and not the fault of the employees, but a little customer service goes a long way. I will go back and give them another try but definitely not impressed. read more

HOLY SHIT GRAB SOME POPCORN BECAUSE THIS IS ABOUT TO GET REAL. Picture this. 4 hungry, drained (mentally and physically) girls leave their 3 hour soccer tryout and drive 45 minutes to this establishment. Having been there only a few other times, the girls knew it was good. But "good" is no word to describe this fine business after the events that happened on this fateful morning. The girls got out of the car and limped, hobbled and crawled their way to the door. Only to find that the store was undergoing some improvements, the girls were crushed that it was closed. A warm tear streamed down a salty cheeks. In shock, not knowing what to do with our overwhelming grief we peer inside to the looming darkness of the closed store. Tears were shed while waiting in the blistering sun on that sidewalk outside of the store. Just then, a figure could be made out walking towards the door. Panic strikes the girls as they prepare to be asked to leave. But to their surprise, we were let in by the women we came to know as Ms. Sherleen (the owner). Those sad, defeated tears turned to tears of joy. She made us smoothies without a single hesitation. After some lovely small talk we get our smoothies blended to perfection. A hand reaches out, across the smooth counter. A crinkled 20 dollar bill is offered. But no, Ms. Sherleen would have nothing of the sort. She insisted that it was on the house. THIS IS WHAT MAKES A COMPANY GREAT. Over the top customer service and just kind warm-hearted people. This made all of our days better. We will forever drive the distance no matter how far to get to this fine establishment. P.S Ms. Sherleen we just want to thank you for making us want to be a better person like you. I've always been a good customer here. I come frequently and I brought lots of friends and coworkers here and the staff is usually sweet and friendly. I ordered a smoothie and I guess they had run out of branded cups, so they were using plain Styrofoam cups. When I got in the car, the straw went right through the cup and the cup broke in pieces and spilled the entire thing all over the inside of my car. I threw it in a bag and came back to the store, the employees saw me and recognized me as I held up the bag and showed them what happened (with a smile and friendly attitude). I threw it away inside the building in plain sight of everyone there and waited in line to ask for another one. I got to the register and the woman introduced herself as the manager and told me that because I left the store, it was not her fault or responsibility to replace the smoothie. She said she's never seen me before (as irrelevant as that is). I didn't point fingers at anyone, I just figured that since I paid $6 for this thing and I hadn't even had a chance to try it they could just replace it as a gesture of courtesy. Long story short, she implied that I was lying when she said "Look, you don't have the cup, you don't have the receipt (it was in my car, and the cup was in their trash can) and you're telling me different stories"...What stories? What do you need to know? The cup broke. Smoothie is plastered all over my car. I was never rude, I simply asked for another one. She had the nerve to argue with me about the price saying that $6 isn't expensive... I mean it is when you didn't get to drink any of it and it gets smeared all over your car?! She said I was "wasting her time" and that I was "offending" her for even asking. She said that she's never seen me before (which is irrelevant as well) and that she knows many "good customers" on a first name basis. Who the hell speaks to a customer that way? I am so disappointed because I really love the smoothies, but I don't want to go back after being treated that way. I have been to this location several times. The food and the smoothies are delicious! But unfortunately the customer service was awful. The employees are sweet and nice, it's the manager/ owner that is normally in the front taking orders. She is extremely rude and unprofessional. I work in customer service myself so I know what it's like to work with people. There is no excuse for her nastiness and unpleasant behavior. I had witnessed her be rude to other random customers before but she had never been rude to me specifically, so I continued to eat there. That is until she was rude to my friend in front of everyone in the store. My friend simply asked for her wrap to have no beans in it, which she's done before. The female manager proceeded to make a huge scene saying she will not do that because it is too time consuming to hand pick the beans out of the wrap. And then said that my friend was rude for asking for that. Needless to say I will not spend another penny in a place where its acceptable to talk that way to paying customers.
