I placed an order through the Tropical Smoothie app for an açaí bowl, and the process was super easy. I really liked how I was able to easily customize my order. They were also running a special pup bowl for $1, which included yogurt with a peanut butter drizzle, so of course I had to grab one for my fur baby. When I arrived, my order was ready in the pickup area. The pup bowl was actually pretty big, and my dog loved it. It was such a great deal, and I really hope they bring it back to the menu because I would definitely order it again. read more

Absolutely fucking horrible. What was supposed to be a quick drive through before my hour and a half drive back home after work turned into a 35 min stop. I waited 15min in line, mind you there was one car in front of me, and once I got to the window I not only waited there for my food but also waited because they didn't have any change. Then after pulling out I had to come back because I was charged for a Sante Fe Chicken quesadilla but got a plain quesadilla. I walked in obviously frustrated and I've worked in food service before so I understand fully things can get back up sometimes, but they had no customers when I walked back in. They took the wrong order back , took another 15 min to make the correct order and the took the wrong order back instead of comping it and making my order correct. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for an afternoon smoothie. We placed orders online and waited as we arrived very shortly after placing our orders. My smoothie was done after a couple of minutes, they called my name and gave it to me. While I was in the restroom they put the receipt in the pick up section which had my phone number even though they had given me my smoothie, that was kind of odd. My smoothie tasted great, consistent with what I had earlier in the week at another location. No issues with the tasty smoothies. I needed to use the restroom, hoping they had paper towels to wet and use on my face. I am allergic to cats and had just left my mother's with 4 cats, my face was having a bad reaction, to my disappointment only a hand drier, no paper towels. I get they save money, but honestly, it's much more hygienic to have paper towels, especially to use to open the door. read more

This business offers drive through or walk in. We walked in and were promptly greeted. I ordered the detox green smoothie and it was great. My husband described it as "healthy" because he could taste the ginger. The business was clean and the service was friendly. They had outdoor seating which was nice. We took our drink to go though. While we were inside there were two employees headed outside with cleaning supplies which made me happy to see. This is in a small shopping center with other businesses, like a Thai restaurant and a Mediterranean place. This was worth the stop after a long day of being in the sun. read more

This is my go to place by my house for a quick morning snack. If you're in a rush, I recommend preordering and doing a walk in. It's a lot quicker you just park and hop out. The drive through is always a wait, but you think about it they are making each smoothie. I hate waiting but it's a reasonable reason to make you wait. I've never had any issues getting a smoothie here. My go to favorite is the blimey limey. HANDS-DOWN my favorite thing. I have recently tried the breakfast and to be honest that was disappointing , but it's a smoothie place. They are suppose to thrive on making them and being good and they do. This smoothie shop is off to a GREAT start with me! Got off work early today so I thought I would swing by and see what it's al about. When I first pulled in, I found the parking lot to be somewhat narrow. It has a drive through, which no doubt comes in handy for those who know what they want. Or, use the app to order. When I came inside, I found the shop robust with activity among a fine young team. I checked to see if they offered free wifi and was informed they did. So TSC has the basics down well. When I looked at the menu on the wall, I was pretty well wowed that they offered items well beyond just smoothies. Sandwiches, wraps, etc. were there to be had too. After a little study of the board, I found my favorite flavored smoothie that I hadn't had in a few years. This was the açaí berry boost. It's a blend of açaí, pomegranate, banana, blueberry and strawberry. However, the açaí was, fortunately, the prevailing flavor in the smoothie! I was very happy with the beverage and this place is definitely on my radar for return visit! I know there's some food shops that people are picky about when it comes to rating them. Smoothie shops are among them. I gave TSC one notch up because today they deserved it. The atmosphere is good. Seating is a little rough with the steel chairs, but no one is going to do their homework here anyway. It is a little loud inside as it seems the mixers are always running. Let's just start off with stating I have the best boss ever! With that being said, she decided to order smoothies as an afternoon treat for our employees who are on the phone all day. We ordered 12 smoothies online for pickup around 2:30. While we were on our way to pick them up, we ordered an additional two smoothies for a total of 14. We got there right around 2:50 and all of the smoothies were in trays and bagged up for us ready to go. They took us over to the smoothies, pointed out how they were labeled, made sure we had extra straws and even held the doors open for us when we left. The smoothies tasted really good, personally I had the peaches and cream which was awesome. I had only been to one other Tropical Smoothie Café before and the smoothie was absolutely terrible. That is not the case at this location. The smoothies were full of flavor instead of ice. Mine was creamy and delicious. It was actually really good and I would be very happy to go back. Inconsistent. Slow and lazy. I've never had an issue with any other TS this one is falling apart. The staff seems confused, flustered and unorganized. Their work areas aren't clean and they are slinging water and juices everywhere. My food tastes bad a I've had to throw away the majority of it. What is strange is that this location appears to be fully staffed; there are several people working behind the counter that appear to be doing things. Smoothies are pretty good. I don't care for the service. If you're in a hurry definitely not a good place to stop by. The majority of the times I've gone in, even if I order ahead, I'm usually waiting. There's little communication and the atmosphere can be a bit stressful. Which is understandable, the food industry can be brutal, but I usually feel like an inconvenience ordering just one smoothie. And it's common to be in the drive thru for a good 20 minutes. Best food I've had since moving here from miami! I had the asian chicken wrap with side kale slaw and they wereboth delicious and large for price. I like the cilantro and sweet teriyaki in the asian chicken flavor, and the chicken is moist. My favorite thing was the kale side salad. It was sweet with green apple carrots and dressing. We were excited when they opened but the service has been terrible, drive through and inside! They are sooooooo slow! Drive through takes anywhere from 15-20 min to get through and inside isn't much of a difference. No one seems to know what they are doing! Half the time you get to the window and they make you repeat what you ordered (because they can't keep track) sometimes they forget to give you half your items or they mess up something on the order...sometimes the smoothies are very watery. I hope that the owner of this location cleans house with staff and gets people in there that can work more efficiently. The lady who took mine & my friends order took 5 minutes to notice us there & then proceeded to ask if she had already taken our order. She then took our order, with an attitude i might add. Then the line took longer than usual to move. The female was playing around & pointing out the window as well for no apparent reason. She then gave us our order which had NO side to it. She did not ask for our side. I asked for SUNCHIPS. WTF. After taking a few sips of my smoothie, THEY WERE ICEY. FULL OF ICE. Anyways, that was suck ish. The only reason why I am rating Tropical Smoothie as a 3 is because of their inconsistency. Sometimes I go there and my smoothie is perfect and then other times its watery, almost melted. I typically dont order ahead to keep this from happening. The service is really nice at the Roosevelt location. At the Hendricks location I always have to wait longer and I get attitude from some of the workers. One of the girls splashed me with the water pump they use on the smoothies, looked at me, and then didnt even apologize. I just took my smoothie and left. read more

Went in here to get smoothies for us my niece and nephew that are down from North Carolina we just got finished with a half our nature walk and figured we go have something healthy at the tropical smoothie café they have never been there so I want to take them there for their first experience. My 12 year nephew has ADHD and he can't stay still and if he sees something sometimes certain things bother him anyway we saw these three smoothies being made and one of them might've been his but he didn't want any banana and the girl got offended started saying nasty stuff to us under her breath this is not even your order and getting all rude and nasty with us. I said he's my 12 year old nephew, he doesn't know. She was slamming blenders around being so ugly, mind you we NEVER said anything to this girl with the name of Alvin on the side of her neck. I had finally enough because she's acting this way in front of children!!!! I went to get the manager.
